Keeping it simple, I usually implement a pick n roll. The player that received the ball in the corner will come off an on ball pick from the ball side wing player. When coming off the screen: 1. The player with the ball tries to get to the paint and score. 2. Look for the roller 3. Look for the weakside corner 4.Pass the ball up Top If the ball goes up Top: Roller and the player that came off the on ball screen fill into the original spots on the wing and corner. The Top player that received the ball will pass to the opposite wing. Then the continuity continues by the top player screening away.
What will be the option if the top player is denied from receiving the ball from the wing. Is the top player cuts directly to the basket or screen to the opposite wing for continuity.
Coach, If you would like to use it against a zone. I would recommend running it against an extended 2-3 zone and/or against a matchup 2-3 zone. In a regular 2-3 zone the opponent will have a guard standing near the elbow defending the high post. Which won't allow for much room to perform a cut to the basket. I ran it with a U12 competitive team a few weeks ago against an extended 2-3 and it worked very well.
No, this is a man offense. You also need a 2 guard and 3 guard front zone offenses. Actually you need 4 offenses to be successful, a man offense, a 2 guard front zone offense , a 3 guard front zone offense and a press attack. if you have those 4 things and can easily run them without a timeout, you can pretty much play against just about anything they throw at you.

Either of those options will work! For early development we usually first start by telling players when denied make a cut towards the basket.
THANKYOU .
Fantastic! Does it work against a 2-3 or 1-3-1 zone or would you have to modify/change the offense?
