How To Reverse And Forward Pivot
How to Reverse and Forward Pivot in Basketball
1. Forward Pivot:
Start in an athletic stance with one foot as your pivot foot.
Push off your non-pivot foot while keeping the pivot foot planted.
Rotate your body forward (in the direction of your pivot foot) to face a new angle.
Use this to change direction while protecting the ball.
2. Reverse Pivot:
Begin in the same stance with a designated pivot foot.
Push off your non-pivot foot and rotate your body backward (opposite direction of the pivot foot).
Keep the pivot foot grounded as you turn to create space from the defender.
This is effective for post moves or facing up after catching the ball.

How To Run a 2-2-1 Half Court Press
Просмотров 24314 часов назад
This 2-2-1 Half-Court Press Won a Championship Against Me In my first year of coaching basketball, I was at a middle school, and we made it all the way to the championship game. We faced the number one seed, a team stacked with talent. They had five players over six feet tall, including a 6'7" center, while we only had one player over six feet. From the start, their 2-2-1 half-court press gave ...

Mastering the 5-Out Offense: Essential Basketball Principles
Nice video although no point using in jv too much collapsing in the paint
Damn
Rashad Mccants was just talking about this specific play and move
The silky blue nuggets jersey were some of the best looking jerseys
Zoom action in diagram please 🙏
Hello , video about the difference between zoom action and pistol action if there's I need the link. Thank you 🙏🙏
Pistol Action: ruclips.net/video/1HZv_wgEBSU/видео.html
I don't have a zoom action diagram yet. But, I can make one this weekend.
Keep going 💪
Can’t tell me if allowed they couldn’t do the moves they do today!
Wait, so they don't call traveling anymore, and the paint is 10 seconds
Playing wit him!!!!! 😂
Mama said patience.
3 seconds in the paint
Fact
"fAcT".. He was being guarded...
travel
Nah ur actually stupid.
The best
Hey coach! What software do u use?
Mostly Keynote. I do modify some pieces in other programs like Canva.
Imagine if Barkley would of been 6'9 to 6'10 like most power forwards. Instead of 6'5 or 6'6. I could only imagine the numbers he would of put up.
The jump stop is probably the most important skill for all players to learn. Running fast and jumping high are great attributes to have, but learning how to take space, change direction and make good decisions are ultimately more important.
Loveee this video
Awesome video! Appreciate it!
Best song written by a white dude! Storch!!
Nice vid. Were you possibly inspired by Coach Frkki? There's a lot of resemblance
The fact that you had a video game 2k clip of the move in here is dope....great stuff!
thank you! What did you use to get the arrows to move and insert the ball?
Did this in highschool. We called it fist
Very nice video. I appreciate your work with the explanation. I appreciate too Collins in some comments gives a nice insight. Pick'n'roll is fun to watch. Stockton and Malone were amazing. Best regards.
Outstanding chemistry between them
Thank you for putting together a great pick and roll compilation of the 2 greatest to ever play, John Stockton and the Mailman, Karl Malone.
Well at least now we know pick and roll cannot win an nba championship
It can except against the GOAT MJ 🐐🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Unfortunately the Jazz were very serious but to quote Halberstam: "But if there was a downside, it was that they were very predictable [...] The price of their discipline might be a certain gap in pure creativity, the ability to freelance when the disciplined offense was momentarily checked." Best regards.

Pick and roll Drive and draw Give and go Simple classic basketball plays
Thanks for some old highlights of two of the greatest! Doesn't get old.
Tell me 2 better pick & roll passers than J Stockton & Larry Legand..they were ridiculously good.🏀👍
Jokić
C Paul
I’ve watched this a dozen times and the amount of bad defence decisions is insane and most of them are dropping off Karl? He must have been a master at disguising himself as an option or I just don’t know how he did it
The thing i think people never consider about their oick and roll game, especially modern basketball fans who want to minimize their skill, is the decisiveness with with they execute it. They arent just going through motions or half heartedly setting a screen. Malone is quickly getting himself to the right angle and immediately moving to the correct space to recieve the ball, and Stockton is immediately moving to either drive or pull away the defender for the pass. There is no moment of uncertainty when they run it. I watch so many modern players run rolls and it looks like neither player is really committed to it. Its either they hit the screen hard and dona lazy non conmitted roll, or they barely screen at all and just roll immediately. I feel like we dont see guys do everything textbook every time. Theres a reason they could do this play for 15 years straight.
it's a different era. No zone defense meant that you had to play man-to-man. Nowadays, defenses would throw in a 3rd man on the strong side to prevent the roll and try to make Malone shoot jump shots. A pass to the interior from Malone if he were to roll can get picked off or deflected and the 3rd defender could run back out to the opposite corner if Malone or Stockton were to pass back to the weak-side corner. Today, a corner 3 is highly prized but not in use as much back in the 90s while the 3rd defender can get back to his man on the baseline if he closes out properly. Icing the pick and roll (as popularized by Thibodeau in the late 2000s) also was not used in this era heavily so Malone's man dropping back to prevent the layup while Stockton's defender hedging the screen to prevent the open-jumper and trying to send him baseline as opposed to down the middle wasn't a big thing.
@@kawaiiafangirlthat still doesn’t explain why they run it really half assed today. You just tried to explain why it wouldn’t work.
@@Ezekial2517 I mentioned drop coverage. Switching is also more frequently used now compared to the 90s. Defenses switch bc there are so many great 3-Pt. shooters. Zone defenses mean that players can just sag away from their man a few feet to be ready for the roll man while also staying close enough for a hard close-out on a 3-Point Shooter. There's a few reasons why the pick-and-roll isn't as frequently used today. They even used a Spain PnR bc the previous style was adapted to by defenses.
Where's the the hand that hold from going to the lane I don't see it .
Textbook Awesome!!!
The easiest play in basketball, but the hardest to master.
If it's so easy everybody today would do it
@@BrandonHaymon Everybody does do it. Just nobody can do it as effectively. There's a difference.
For Stockton and Malone it was poetry in motion.
Really great video. Thank you.
Hiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!
What this aplikasi?
Do you have these diagrams
The one weakness of the 2-3 is the 3 pointer. What are you talking about?
True, a good shooting team will find a way to beat a 2-3, but if you realize that, adjust accordingly. Or play that risk. Teams can live by the 3, but they also can die by the 3. Depends on matchups
this is pretty good. My favorite action all time is the shuffle cut/screen.
Thank you for submitting all your content. It's the most comprehensive explanation to learn the game. I'm a visual learner, and this is helping me a lot.
Park Tudor HS in Indianapolis won 4 2A State Championships in 6 years with this offense. It’s deadly when you have guys who can shoot and play inside.
I love this offense this is the first time I seen it in a 1-4 set
You got a video on 23 zone matchup?
I don't at the moment. I would be interested in making one! I have ran a 2-3 matchup zone as a coach and when I was a player in high school. Would you prefer one like The Syracuse 2-3 zone video or one with just the diagram animation?
Great play. I'm a little rusty on my rules. So 5 flashes to the free throw line after the screen. 4 then replaces 5 from the wing, to the short corner, to the front of the rim. Can the 5 be in the paint for a total of 6 seconds? 3 without the ball, then 3 seconds with the ball? Hopefully I made sense of my thought.
デュラントとベンシモほんまよく見てくれとる
Great video boss. What software are you using? Our girls had problems with remembering plays. Think this will help for sure
This is Keynote!
He loves that corner three
