Hey you guys, awesome work! Tighten the bolts a little bit. You guys' sound honestly sounds like Carcass' Heartwork. If you haven't heard that album yet, I highly recommend you do because you'd gain a TON of great influence from them. Also as far as breakdowns go, check out Cryptopsy's "Slit Your Guts" as it has one of the most original breakdowns I've heard in some time.
Keep it up and try not to focus too much on the -core aspect of your music as it may limit you. Also check out Suffocation!

There's lots of bands out there that have positive and uplifting lyrics and play music just as hardcore as any other band out there. Doesn't matter about the type of music, but about what you sayin.
