      SpaceX along with other US launch providers make sure that the skies won't be filled with space junk. The upper stage of the rocket is the only part that isn't reused, and it returns to be burned up in the atmosphere. Starlink satellites that SpaceX deploy also return to be burned up after the end of their life or even if they fail or are damaged in some way.

    Elon fanboys should know it was NASA engineers who initially developed reusable rocket technology in the early 70s with certain aspects of that being used in the shuttle program. Some of those same engineers later went to work for SpaceX eventually working with other NASA engineers to develop the Falcon 9 it wasn't Elon himself like some people think (the fanboys) Without NASA, SpaceX would be NOTHING. And I'm in firm belief there's no way in hell that the way starship is currently designed will ever carry humans they'd have to be insane to even consider getting on that thing...

    • @abi3751
      @abi3751 Год назад +2

      Ya definitely it's not elon himself who designed or visioned about the reusable rockets rocket technology is not the one that can be easily learned and done by few. But I think starship will do its job maybe in the near future.

    • @WoolandFlax
      @WoolandFlax Год назад +1

      Yes, Elon put a good team together! And he didn't start from scratch thank goodness, can you imagine trying to reinvent the wheel?? And he added new designs starting from first principles which led to the first reusable rockets, a starship that can carry more weight than anything we've seen before and a successful space company that has accomplished this in a relatively short period of time. HUMANS A++ it's amazing what we can do when we work together! Hope for humanity indeed. In history there have been millions of people that have been naysayers, eg. "a heavy plane cannot fly"... these people are a dime a dozen.

    • @jacklets3851
      @jacklets3851 Год назад

      Nah I have really high hopes for starship. Over time they will improve the rocket and I think eventually it will be used just as much as the current falcon rockets

    • @anthonypelchat
      @anthonypelchat Год назад +1

      SpaceX/Elon fans don't claim that they invented reusable rocket tech. However, SpaceX is the only launch provider that has currently been fully successful with reuse. The Shuttle was too expensive to refurbish and no other orbital class rockets have been able to be recovered and reused successfully. Rocket lab is close though.
      Also, Elon and all of SpaceX are huge fans of NASA. And they have a great working relationship. After all, SpaceX wouldn't exist without NASA and NASA wouldn't have a means of sending astronauts into space without SpaceX at this point.
      Starship doesn't have to carry humans to be hugely successful. Non-human spaceflight is the bulk of all spaceflight. Further, Starship is changing all the time. What you saw fly 3 months ago was already old, and they have made numerous changes since then. Whatever version ends up carrying humans will be hugely different from what is being built today.

    I bet you I can make SpaceX a trillionaire were the different design of a spaceship he could fully build as long as he needs me some credit to it. It would be a design it will be a mired by the world something China would try to copy as well as they try to copy SpaceX spaceship. Something I designed many years ago I redesigned many different times what could be more reality then meth I don't know if have the right design I'm pretty sure SpaceX can tell me what's possible not possible with it. But I will not hand it over just willingly.

      Not rapidly reusable ones. But come back when you do a little more research. Literally most of this short was talking about reusability and cost. Not how reliable they are. Also, it's hard to say that with certainty, since falcon 9 launched more times in 2022 than any other rocket in its entire history

    • @jameskelly3502
      @jameskelly3502 Год назад

      @PavelRyzhov Yes, they've made a $55 million dollar profit off of $1.5 billion revenue for Q1. (4% profit margin, scary thin)
      But they lost $559 million just last year.
      - Starship R&D costs are going to climb, - -Starlink needs its satellite continually replaced.
      - Vulcan and New Glenn should enter the market soon,
      -and Sirrea Nevada Dream Chaser has a shot of replacing crew Dragon within the next 6-7 years.
      They're not out of the woods financially.
      Not yet anyway.
