Linda is always gonna be Pops' favorite out of his kids. She is an epic pampered daddy's girl. Just as it should be. This is the EXACT relationship I had with my maternal grandfather. My mom was the only child her parents had, and I am the only child my parents had, so my mom and I were their only descendants. Yeah, my grandparents loved my mom like crazy, but whenever I showed up with them? My mom and dad (later step-dad, after my parents split up and my mom got remarried) were virtually invisible. Both of them doted on me and spoiled me a ton. The only thing I cared about, though, was NOT getting an opportunity to get stuff and get spoiled, but rather to spend time with my grandparents - my grampa in particular. I was closer to him than anyone who ever lived. This still holds true today, and I lost him to end stage terminal lung cancer 23 years ago, when I was 21. He was 77 years old. I still miss him SO BAD, even now. It still hurts, even now. I have a permanent hole in my heart which appeared the day he died, and my heart will not be whole again until I see him again in heaven.
