    Gotta trust your edges and terrain too. There's been times I was a bit scared to really dig the edges in for fear of sliding out but if you got some good edges and snow you'll be amazed on how well they'll dig in and bring you around

    Where's the link to David's channel? When's David going to update his channel now that he's back on the snow? Also, what's his Halloween costume this year?

    Love the bonus tip ... using the pressure building up to pump/slingshot you out o of the turn is a good one and feels great.
    Be good to break down the body positions a bit more in another video, ie awareness of lead shoulder, rear arm, hip movement, ankle inflection and knee steering are all part of what goes into making a turn.
    In addition to remaining staked, engaging the edge and letting the sidecut do its work. That's part of it but there is more to it.

    I snowboarded on Christmas and boxing day for the first time in like 10ish years, and let me tell you I accidentally discovered that pumping with your back leg thing a few times lol

    Why am I afraid to use my heel edge (even to slow down)? It feels like I am going to fall backwards whenever my chest is facing the bottom of the mountain. Thanks

    So you're saying that if I practice these enough on mellow runs, I will be able to to it steadily on steeper ones?🤔

    • @aaalllen
      @aaalllen 2 года назад +1

      If you're transitioning to steeper slopes, start by making wider carves than you would on mellower terrain to help against the speed.
