Ohhhhhhhhhh no no no no no no! Don’t peel the potatoes. Use bacon grease and a little butter. Cut the potatoes thin. Never cover them (makes them soft not crispy). Onion cooks the same time as the potatoes. Your taste buds will love you and your heart will shut down but soooooooooooo worth it

So true. Onions go in with the taters. If the onions get good an brown, that's awesome.

I use butter and just a little oil when making fried potatoes and onions, the butter gives the potatoes a much better flavor and it browns them better.

That's exactly, how my mom would cook the potatoes. She would fry the onion, first, then saluted the potatoes w/onion salt of power, whatever was on hand. She was also put bacon, divide the potatoes, so (we) COULD eat with ketchup. That other half, put eggs. How I miss her! She has since passed on.
What is the difference in using garlic power and/or garlic salt? I will get some of my friends to subscribed to your channel. Didn't see the boys do their tasting, My friend, Chantilly, just watched your video and subscribed. Thanks for the upload!

Arlene Ortiz thanks for watching! Yeah we put ketchup on these also. Garlic salt has more intense flavor is what I’d say the main diff is. Thanks again and have a great Holiday season.

@@JasonBolte Thanks for taking the time in replying back. Where are you boys to taste? Happy Holidays to you, and your family. I lost my mom during the Christmas Holidays, it hasn't been the same since. Lost my dad, 2 months, prior. Kinda hard. Just recently, lost my 2 sisters. God Bless!

Arlene Ortiz I’m sorry to here about your losses. My boys were out playing with friends when I was filming so I went ahead w/o them. I’m glad to hear that people enjoy seeing them though. I’ll try and get them to be more regular in my vids. God bless you.

@@JasonBolte Thank you! Maybe next time your sons will taste your next dish. What is the best way to clean a cast iron skillet? I inherited from my mom. It's been in storage, and it has a lot of rust.
