This movie was compiled by Alex Chohlas-Wood from clips from The Neistat Brothers HBO series in 2010. Directed by Van and Casey Neistat.

i can’t remember when(dawn of Spirited-Man days?)..but I was strolling through Chinatown(L.E.S. NY) and saw Van with a rather good looking woman. I couldnt help myself and approached with caution because he looked kinda pissed off introduced myself and said Thank You. Wonder if Van remembers this. They both looked at me like “How do YOU know who Van is?” (i wore a lot of Billionaire Boys Club then)at least thats how i read it, anyway, super stoked he’s on here on a regular basis these days

Echt Schade wie viel Deutsches Liedgut und deutsche Redewendungen von diesem traurigen Teil der Geschichte verdorben wurden.
An sich war das früher ja mal eine normale Redewendung, da ja Eigenständigkeit und Unabhängigkeit durch die eigene ehrliche Arbeit am besten erlangt werden kann.

So I did some research and it looks like the events in this film took place between 2007 and 2008. I honestly wasn't old enough to understand what kind of place the confederate flag was in back then, but from what I understand people didn't start striking the flag from places until around 2015-- it was less taboo back then I think.
I'm not for the confederate flag, but I also think that preserving context is kind of important. I don't think its appearance here is inherently racist is all I'm saying.
