Backpacks with no movement debuff is a great buff to solos
Especially as a default blueprint... thats huge for the early stage as a solo.
Apart from you’re gonna have a massive target on your back the minute your seen with one on 🎯
Facts
Nothing is a buff to solos apart from random lightning bolts targeting team players.
It's also a massive buff to groups
I feel like the player customization really shows the shift of the game. Feels less "survivaly"/grounded now. Seems to be more PVP focused these days, not saying it's inherently a bad thing, just not the reason I personally started playing rust. I swear I remember reading years ago that the reason there was no character customization is because just like real life you get what you get. Or something along them lines, which I quite like the concept of. I've grown quite fond of my bald naked black man with a rock (at least he has eyebrows now)
i hope they keep it so you cant change it, that is the heart and soul of rust
the amount of people who will change their character to brinda will be crazy
This is quite literally the only game that is massive online multiplayer that you are forced to use a pre generated character model. It's lazy developing.

personally i don't like the ideal of player customization, i like the whole fact you are who you are when first launching the game for the first time

@@TheGamerRedline No, the Minimum is 10GB (with 16GB highly recommended), not 6GB. The minimum RAM used to be 8GB a couple years ago (and was never very playable with less than 16GB). What makes you think the Minimum is 6GB?

If they ever wanted to truly break the game, all they need is to add the ability to go prone. Evolve and become the best door camper, the snake in the grass, or bush.

I like there not being a character editor mostly because I love the idea of racists having to play as black characters.
maybe the you can customize your character but not its gender or race

Never in my 5k hours have I been farming as a solo and thought geeez I wish I could have more inv space so I can die running back to base
This will also make raiding easier
Now you just need a phone with 16GB RAM, or more, to play rust on when/if the phone version comes out!

Optimization and performance should be a priority for facepunch
Personally I have zero issues with the games performance at this point. I would rather see them focus on providing a top notch game and get ready for Rust2 with a new engine than worry about engine optimization's that they have little control over.
Rust 2 is a meme is just not happening and if they ever do it they will continue to use Unity (which is crap) also they have been coding this game for an insane ammount of time.
For the shovel..... the shovel paddle. Its already there and would give an additional function an item that is rarely used

Metal detector would be a great edition to Rust. So many times weapons are lost in water and grass and you just cant find them
love the high cost like backpacks, since it wont hurt solos but large groups wont spam craft them

i miss how simple rust was back then. it feels like nowadays every game is trying to turn into roblox or something. look at fortnite, what was once a battle royale is now anything you can want it to be and rust will soon be the same way. i hope they add a "classic" gamemode or something that captures the feel of the game in a simpler manner

You can literally put locked cars in safe zones and if theres a roof or so over it it will barely decay..
So backpacks wont be op compared to that rat strat
I rarely get an inventory full of resources in one run. I can see it helping solos who do oil rig/cargo, and moving loot after a raid
@@JoaoBatista-yq4ml can't even loot 3 fullkits without bagpack so yea, it will HEAVILY buff every solo in the game. Even more the 10k+ hours solo grinders.

I can certainly "dig" the metal detector.
Backpacks have been in the modded servers for a long time, don't know why it's taken so long to incorporate it into the official servers.

great news about character customization i just got back into the game because of the news of it being finally added to the game so i can make my char the way i want it.

My computer has died. The graphics card is ok but literally everything else needs replacing and I dont have the funds. I miss Rust quite a bit. Right now, to scratch the itch I watch Rust content creators and play a mobile game called Oxide which is nearly impossible to play as someone who refuses to cheat because it is full of hackers. Hackers and Russian children.. who are also hackers.

Hello rust, lately it's been working worse and worse, it throws you out of the game or freezes, that's an understatement, this game works 60% of the time, you're just filling it with unnecessary updates and the game barely runs, for example sleds or other crap, who cares? and these jumping fps are getting worse

I think any player editor should only be able to change things like hair, tattoos, etc… it would be nice to get rid of my ginger beard, really doesn’t suit my player, but I like the random gender/race method and that should stay.
