Something I just noticed, all the spectres that can be summoned for the boss fights so far are wielding the weapon that you can get from that particular boss
@@nickstockwell9148same I legit spammed throwables for both phases first phase fire and electric cells, hit him like 4 times with my sword, second phase poison and gernade throwables once my specter got his attention then went in hit him with a charge attack stagger him and then the slash after the stagger, then let my body do some damage and heal real quick and hit him with fable arts 3 times and he went down
First time I saw Romeo, I thought he was an earlier model of P built by Geppetto. It made me think the play before the fight was showing Geppetto taking the heart of his son from one puppet and putting it into another. I assumed having his heart taken made Simon's hair turn white
Missed a chest going up the ladder instead of down to butterfly…not trying to backseat just pointing out for your walkthrough, your Eden ring walkthrough was flawless man i appreciate the hard work and the content
It’s one of my main criticisms of Elden ring which I loved btw. It had too many boss fights that had 0 stamina so they could spam attacks but seems they were designed that way incase people used summons. So the bosses being built around summons meant it became much much much harder to do them standard on a smaller variety of builds at least.
There's really no shame for using a spectre especially if you struggled this long against it fam as long you enjoy the game on your way that's the only important thing.

It was good fight, but I think you get so lucky in this fight, that doesn't mean you don't have skill, but man, so lucky. I could only dream about fight like this.
Romeo took me far too long to beat but it was satisfying once I did beat him. Took a day and some change but I finally got the second half of his fight down especially dodging his fire spam attack
Throwables are stupid op. Get through phase 1 quickly, heal your spector, then you can pretty much kill Romeo with Throwables. Or dodge left every time he swipes and dodge back when he jumps up, works every time
Man the amount of satisfaction I got taking the time to do my research make the right build and beat this boss. And I only used 5 throwing cells to finish him off lol
I just beat this boss yesterday, now I believe that advance builds are the way. Pure motivity or tech builds just don't do enough damage. Motivity builds have it worst as they're slow but no poise
@@arsenicsulfide7549 that's basically just a tech build in disguise. People play motivity or strength because they want big damage per hit. What's the point in using motivity if you just play it like tech? The funny thing is that... through the weapons I've tried out, only the pizza cutter and the scythe have hyper armour... but one is an advance weapon and one is a tech weapon bruh. But at least I put the cutter on a motivity handle and called it a day
It's crazy, I have really flat stats and I'm crushing. I've really just been focusing on what's going to give me the most return until the cap, then moving to the support stats. Every weapon I use has an effect on it and those seem to slay. Lots different than Souls where if you invest all over the place you'll screw yourself in the end
What I did was have the spectre attack with acid on the first phase kill the robot as quick as possible that way my spectre had more health against the puppet! And just destroyed him in the end
12:15 after reaching the final boss of the game yesterday, i’m now realizing this moment is foreshadowing something. or possibly that the King of Puppets was trying to warn us of something.
If you collect all the ergo for the machine venigni gives you you'll get a message from romeo saying geppetto started the frenzy. You can then listen to a new message from him telling you that he's using the puppets to hold back the monsters and the alchemists. But as the message ends and he's asking you not to forget your best friend it seems he begins to malfunction. Which is likely why he's not able to hold back during the fight. Likely geppeto's doing tbh. He was the one controlling them after all. He just needed you to get rid of all the evidence and beings standing in his way Makes me feel bad for the puppets and romeo. Poor brother ain't deserve what happened
@@brightonmolina3058yeah man, it definitely makes you feel for the puppets more, especially after being told that they are the evil force that started murdering humans and caused the frenzy. turns out they aren’t actually evil and are just being forced to do an evil man’s bidding.
After he’s down halfway, he’ll try to use his grinder(?) to put fire on his weapon, which leads to the 10+ hits in a row on you. If you stay on him, you can knock him out of the grinding animation. No fire=no infinite combo.
The King of Puppets is such a fun fight, both phases. I prefer phase 1 though, if only because there's no checkpoint between the fight. Romeo is much easier, however, if you just focus on dodging into his attacks instead of blocking/parrying, bro had pretty bad tracking on most of his moveset.
I would love to see a no summon play through. These boss fights are completely different without them. Nothing against players who use them. I just feel that it takes away the feeling of reward
i struggled on this boss a beat cuz once he puts overheat on his weapon and does that move where he continuously is attacking you, that would always kill me. but each time i struggle on a boss i learn from my mistakes and try new strategies which i really like that i can do in the this game oppose to elden ring where i just bleed everything lol
I took ages to figure out how to beat Romeo, but once I did, he's pretty easy. Don't try to block him or dodge away. Always dodge into his attacks and nearly every time, you get an opening to hit him as he recovers.
Wasn't expecting the King of Puppets to bust out Malenia's Waterfowl Dance lol. I died to this asshole seven or eight times thanks to that cheap ass move. Finally had to use the summon to clear the first phase with enough heals to outlast puppet Raiden.
Dodge left for the entire second phase of this fight and you won't get hit a single time...I was getting wrecked by him last night and then I guy on reddit recommend to dodge left and I beat him with no damage on my next try!
Bro it's unfair how much damage electric weapons are doing to puppets. Took me an entire day to just go over the first phase and then one for the second with Holy Sword of the Ark.
This boss is giving me more trouble than any of them so far. That fire flurry wombo combo gets me everytime. Just when I'm doing really well that attack puts me in check. The perfect block timing and long recovery time for most actions really takes the fluidity out of the combat for me.
@@gporr7004 There is so much to love about the game..but the combat issues really drag it down. I'm gonna push through it to see if some of these things are better on ng+. And I just beat the puppet king..I stopped trying to perfect block his flurry attack and just dodged to the left through them no problem. Wo Long didn't get the attention it deserved..I had a blast with it. It had the same issues with level design like nioh, I loved the combat way more than nioh. Just fun as hell playing coop, or invading and spanking people.

Same strategy used against the Illusion miniboss .. & a later boss I just ran around to bait 1 specific attack, then charged r2.. n repeat. Otherwise yea, trying to constantly parry was making me lose my head way back on the Watchman fight.

Ok. For anyone struggling i accidentally found an exploit for this fight. As soon as the second stage starts use the moon phase pocket watch to get to the most recent star gazer. Return to the fight with a fresh specter and the boss is still in second stage. Dont know why this worked.
Bro it’s weird all the bosses in this weird ass game are like this. All critical bosses are easy, beat them in 3 tries or less but most of the optional bosses are obtusely difficult compared.
I will definitely be switching to an Advance build...I have been playing technique and I can't get near the damage you are putting out unless I use something really big and slow...I like using throwables also, so that should bump the damage on several of those also...
Same. I'm using bone saw with booster glaive handle that puts out crazy damage, but doesn't seem to kill king of puppets nearly this quick, even with electric grind.
@@JimboSlice02 I've been using the glaive blade on the dancer handle with a technique crank so I can swing a little faster and the charged heavy comes out faster than with the glaive handle...I've been making it work, but from what i've seen advance builds can put out much more damage than technique and they are faster than Motivity weapons...

No I have to tell you you might get lucky like everyone I see but this fight is no joke everybody I see uses the hell out of the summon and for some reason everybody’s summon lives forever and they can kill the king but I’m telling you right now trying to fight this guy legit and actually just use a weapon and block it’s almost impossible and I mean impossible

Same build just more damaged focused i was doing 300 with 2 charged attacks while the boss was shocked normal was 140 to 230 i don't understand how you did more damage when we almost have the same build at this point in the game it just makes no sense. @brucepreston3927 I was using a advanced build for this fight I was not getting those numbers in a few hits I would have to hit him maybe 7 times to get a thousand. I can never get the exact same attack number so it's hard to tell if I was having bad luck or if my game is broken. I have a +9 I think the most I've Done at one time was 700 and that was with a +9 I think it's called the puppet axe that's with a charged R2 shit sucks against later bosses and even some normal enemies feel like bosses

Yeah, same experience with me, I seriously don't know how he's done it, I didn't get even close to that damage, with Advance build and I had almost same attributes and weapon. And P Organs doesn't do that much difference, in my opinion.

Boss phase 2 combo can be easily evaded by running away each swing he takes, except for the last swing you have to dodge

The flame buff attack is brutal. I survived by running away in circles as far away as I could until the combo ended.

1:33 - you can plunge cheese those puppets over and over by luring them down the stairs right there and plunging from the higher stair set.
That stupid clown mini boss before was so much harder for me than this one, took him first time and yet took 10 tries for that fat clown

Love and hated this boss ..the game lets you play smart ,i used throwing items on second fase ..might do a second run and try using only my weopon lol

No I have to tell you you might get lucky like everyone I see but this fight is no joke everybody I see uses the hell out of the summon and for some reason everybody’s summon lives forever and they can kill the king but I’m telling you right now trying to fight this guy legit and actually just use a weapon and block it’s almost impossible and I mean impossible
This game man holy shit. Same build just more damaged focused i was doing 300 with 2 charged attacks while the boss was shocked normal was 140 to 230 i don't understand how you did more damage when we almost have the same build at this point in the game it just makes no sense. Why did they make the damage in this game random way later in the game I've literally hit enemies so hard i got a ??? As a damage number
I was thinking damn he is putting out some damage...It took me a good 4-5 min to get through the first phase of this boss...I'm thinking about switch to and advance build! lol
@brucepreston3927 I was using a advanced build for this fight I was not getting those numbers in a few hits I would have to hit him maybe 7 times to get a thousand. I can never get the exact same attack number so it's hard to tell if I was having bad luck or if my game is broken. I have a +9 I think the most I've Done at one time was 700 and that was with a +9 I think it's called the puppet axe that's with a charged R2 shit sucks against later bosses and even some normal enemies feel like bosses
Yea I’m an advance build, I had the same weapon with different handle, and wasn’t doing close to those big chunks of damage
@@danielhogue4327 I wonder if it has to do with upgrades he has from the P-Organ tree...I haven't watched every episode so I don't know what upgrades he has...
Yeah, same experience with me, I seriously don't know how he's done it, I didn't get even close to that damage, with Advance build and I had almost same attributes and weapon. And P Organs doesn't do that much difference, in my opinion.
This where I uninstalled the game 😂, just realizing souls games aren't for me as I just look up videos to cheese bosses

Puppet King was easy compared to some of the other bosses even some mid-level bosses.
i don't think its fun to use specter, he's two times stronger than a mimic tear. makes the game too easy

You can kind of read it. But it's also kind of a plot point. Vegini gives you a device that gradually upgrades to understand the language more.

Guys the Spector is in the game bcuz most bosses are impossible to beat without it. soloing bosses is not what this game is about u people need to understand this this isn’t the same as a soulsborne game SO STOP COMPLAINING
