Yoda has lived for centuries, Dumbledore doesn't compete. Sidious has monopoly of millennia of Sith discoveries, the HP universe isn't as advanced. If the cosmology didn't play a part, perhaps Voldemort could have around the same knowledge as Vader...

Yoda has failed to uncover Plapatine's plan or understand that he is the dark lord, failed to see and prevent Anakin from falling to the dark side and basically lost the clone wars. While Dumbledore is a genius strategist. He won the war against Grindelwald who can literally see the future and he also calculated the events after his death and set up a plan to win against Voldemort and succeeded. He also was able to see the darkness in Tom Riddle in his youth despite the fact that he was a great manipulator and had a reputation of a respected student. And the last but not least he was a genius in his craft. I know we can say the same about Yoda but magic has way more branches and disciplines that require years of studies and he managed to master them all and invent a lot of new spells and artifacts. In Yoda's case, he spent most of his life teaching younglings in a peaceful era so i don't think that counts as a meaningful experience

Yoda also didn't do anything when the council discovered behavioral chips in the clones. And it was the key failure that led to the fall of the jedi order. Tbh i think prep time, versions, starting distance and most importantly how force and magic affect each other will determine the fight. I think jedis have better odds in no prep scenarios, shorter distance, all versions included and 1v1. Wizard would seem to have better odds when they know who they are fighting, have prep, fight with distance and in groups. I like the balance of it.

Vader was just his main officer that he used as a tool for his plans and everything Vader had was simply given to him by Palpatine. Like the dominion over Mustafar. 2) Voldemort DID take over Hogwarts as well as the whole ministry of magic for a whole year as soon as Dumbledore died. And when Harry overthrew Snape and freed Hogwarts for battle, Voldemort was still winning the fight. He willingly ordered his army to retreat because he was generous and didn't want to spill magic blood because he wanted only Harry. And he was going to take over the whole world if not for the prophecy that says he'll lose 3) Comparing Hogwarts to a regular school is like comparing the Jedi Temple to a regular school. This place had the best magical protection possible in this universe, not only kids but also the best adult wizards specifically trained for fighting against dark arts and a whole army of golem statues, ghosts, centaurus, house elfs with their broken abilities (they can do magic that normal wizards can't) etc. And if we do compare this to the Jedi Temple, Vader also couldn't do it alone, he had an assistance from the clones who did 99% of the job. 4) What was Voldemort really capable of? Well, a little introduction first. To create a horcrux you have to split your soul in half. And he did this every time he created one. So the first one contained 50% of his soul, second - 25% etc. When all horcruxes were created his original body had only 0,8% of his soul. But it didn't matter because as long as all of them were intact he had all of his power. But when all of them were destroyed, he ended up with only his 0,8% of power. In addition Harry sacrificed himself in exchange that Voldemort won't harm anybody in Hogwarts so he put the same ancient protection spell that prevented Voldemort from killing Harry all this time but on entire Hogwarts. So he couldn't lethality harm anybody after that. And he also had the elder wand that rejected him and refused to work properly in his hands. And considering all these debuffs let's see what he did. He dueled against Mcgonagall (top tier wizard), Kingsley (Mace Windu of HP verse) and Slughorn (was under the luck potion at the moment) at the same time. And with 0,8% of his soul, with a malfunctioning wand and with all his spells debuffed he one-shotted them all. And people still say he lost to some kids. I would like to see how would Vader without his lightsaber, with the force not working properly and with a damaged suit survive 3 jedi masters at the same time. Oh wait, that actually happened in comics. He faced 8 featless no name jedi, 3 of them were only knights, Vader didn't have any debuffs and despite managing to kill 5 of them, when he ended up in a situation i described (no weapon, damaged suit etc) he was powerless to do anything to the remaining 3 jedi and only won because the clones arrived. 5) All of these jokes that Voldemort lost to a kid come from the lack of understanding. Alot of people saying that Voldemort can just teleport behind Vader and use Avada-Kedavra really overestimate the spell. It was shown in the books where Voldemort and Albus Dumbledore fought that Avada Kedavra cannot be blocked with a spell but it can however be blocked with an object. Vaders armor blocks pure bullets and spells could never penetrate it unless it’s fire or water related. Vader can redirect Voldemort’s spells with the force, Crush Voldemort’s hand, swing a saber at immense speed if we arent counting the comics where Vader destroyed several masters in Anakin form. Voldemort massively outspeeds and I could even say blitzes Vader, but once Vader gets a force choke its all over, Disapperating does NOT work during stun spells or during clashes as explained in the fight of Dumbledore VS Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts, where with each clash it was made impossible to disaperate. Vaders strength outscales even the strongest master’s and his dueling is a force to be reckoned with.
Since almost no one here knows the lore of HP and even those who's on the Voldemort's side say wrong things, I'm here to fix some mistakes. 1) Yes, avada kedavra can be blocked by an object. But you've missed a very important detail - this object explodes when hit. Avada kedavra destroys everything upon contact, durability doesn't matter. And i don't think Vader can survive his own armor explosion. 2) As for the force choke, there are both choking and anti-choking spells in HP so Voldemort can either prevent himself from being chocked (even i know at least 5 ways to do that, imagine what he knows) or do the same with Vader if he wanted to. 3) lightsaber is a melee weapon that isn't much useful against the opponent who can fly, teleport, protect himself with force fields against all sorts of physical damage or just turn it into a banana. 4) About redirection of spells. This is a hard topic because it is unknown how the Force and magic would interact with each other but i want to point out that not all of the spells are energy beams or projectiles. There are lots of spells that have no visible effect nor travel time, magic just happens. Like transfiguration, legilimency, most of the charms, 2 of 3 unforgivable curses etc. 5) Don't know what are "the clashes" you talked about but if you were describing the situation where two beams collided then, 1) it's purely movie thing, in the books this can only happen to twin wands and 2) even if we assume it's canon, it has nothing to do with Vader because he can't shoot anything like that for "the clash" to happen 6) You didn't mention it but still want to add that wizards, especially Voldemort can use their magic without a wand or saying the spells out loud. It's more difficult that way for a regular wizards but top-tiers can do that easily with a hand gestures just like force users. Dumbledore once did this just by thinking about it.

They think even in stunlock that you can use spells, harry against voldemort was getting choked by a black whip like thing and could not use any type of spell. During his fight with Draco Malfoy harry was thrown back many times and could not use spells and there are many more instances. Spells can NOT be used in a stunlock so if Vader gets a force choke theres simply no counter, whereas if voldemort gets vader in a spell choke, since spells are a energy source he can redirect it.

And you repeated your point about the spells being an energy that can be redirected despite the fact that i've already explained that not every spell has a form of energy projectile, there are lots of spells that just happen after you use them. For example in the Philosopher's stone Dumbledore just clapped his hands and transfigurated multiple Slytherin flags into Gryffindor ones. No beams, no light effects, no words, he didn't even pointed his wand anywhere how can you redirect that? The wizards are the working class and ruling class. The jedi and sith are the warrior class. Sure the wizards can fight but they rely on self defense and terrorist methods. But the force users have seen wars, fought wars, and caused wars. And where the wizards have more abilities, the Sith and Jedi know how to use their free abilities to devastating effects.

Yoda has failed to uncover Plapatine's plan or understand that he is the dark lord, failed to see and prevent Anakin from falling to the dark side and basically lost the clone wars. While Dumbledore is a genius strategist. He won the war against Grindelwald who can literally see the future and he also calculated the events after his death and set up a plan to win against Voldemort and succeeded. He also was able to see the darkness in Tom Riddle in his youth despite the fact that he was a great manipulator and had a reputation of a respected student. And the last but not least he was a genius in his craft. I know we can say the same about Yoda but magic has way more branches and disciplines that require years of studies and he managed to master them all and invent a lot of new spells and artifacts. In Yoda's case, he spent most of his life teaching younglings in a peaceful era so i don't think that counts as a meaningful experience

Yoda also didn't do anything when the council discovered behavioral chips in the clones. And it was the key failure that led to the fall of the jedi order. I think jedis have better odds in no prep scenarios, shorter distance, all versions included and 1v1. Wizard would seem to have better odds when they know who they are fighting, have prep, fight with distance and in groups.

1) Vader didn't rule the galaxy. Palpatine did. Vader was just his main officer that he used as a tool for his plans and everything Vader had was simply given to him by Palpatine. Like the dominion over Mustafar.
2) Voldemort DID take over Hogwarts as well as the whole ministry of magic for a whole year as soon as Dumbledore died. And when Harry overthrew Snape and freed Hogwarts for battle, Voldemort was still winning the fight. He willingly ordered his army to retreat because he was generous and didn't want to spill magic blood because he wanted only Harry. And he was going to take over the whole world if not for the prophecy that says he'll lose
3) Comparing Hogwarts to a regular school is like comparing the Jedi Temple to a regular school. This place had the best magical protection possible in this universe, not only kids but also the best adult wizards specifically trained for fighting against dark arts and a whole army of golem statues, ghosts, centaurus, house elfs with their broken abilities (they can do magic that normal wizards can't) etc.
And if we do compare this to the Jedi Temple, Vader also couldn't do it alone, he had an assistance from the clones who did 99% of the job.
4) What was Voldemort really capable of? Well, a little introduction first. To create a horcrux you have to split your soul in half. And he did this every time he created one. So the first one contained 50% of his soul, second - 25% etc. When all horcruxes were created his original body had only 0,8% of his soul. But it didn't matter because as long as all of them were intact he had all of his power. But when all of them were destroyed, he ended up with only his 0,8% of power. In addition Harry sacrificed himself in exchange that Voldemort won't harm anybody in Hogwarts so he put the same ancient protection spell that prevented Voldemort from killing Harry all this time but on entire Hogwarts. So he couldn't lethality harm anybody after that. And he also had the elder wand that rejected him and refused to work properly in his hands. And considering all these debuffs let's see what he did. He dueled against Mcgonagall (top tier wizard), Kingsley (Mace Windu of HP verse) and Slughorn (was under the luck potion at the moment) at the same time. And with 0,8% of his soul, with a malfunctioning wand and with all his spells debuffed he one-shotted them all. And people still say he lost to some kids. I would like to see how would Vader without his lightsaber, with the force not working properly and with a damaged suit survive 3 jedi masters at the same time. Oh wait, that actually happened in comics. He faced 8 featless no name jedi, 3 of them were only knights, Vader didn't have any debuffs and despite managing to kill 5 of them, when he ended up in a situation i described (no weapon, damaged suit etc) he was powerless to do anything to the remaining 3 jedi and only won because the clones arrived.
5) All of these jokes that Voldemort lost to a kid come from the lack of understanding. He didn't lost to a kid. He lost to the Destiny itself. There was a prophecy that says that Voldemort will lose to Harry so he couldn't change it no matter what. This is what also happened to Palpatine btw. It was said that Anakin will restore the balance so it was inevitable. I'll tell you the secret: if there was a prophecy that Jar Jar or C3PO or ewoks or even porgs will kill the emperor that means it WILL happen. No matter how stupid or improbable it sounds, how weak Jar Jar is compaired to Palpatine, the events WILL unfold in a way that leads to this exact outcome.
6) I'm not saying that Voldemort certainly wins, i just want people to stop using this biased jokes that have nothing to do with reality

Alot of people saying that Voldemort can just teleport behind Vader and use Avada-Kedavra really overestimate the spell. It was shown in the books where Voldemort and Albus Dumbledore fought that Avada Kedavra cannot be blocked with a spell but it can however be blocked with an object. Vaders armor blocks pure bullets and spells could never penetrate it unless it’s fire or water related.
Vader can redirect Voldemort’s spells with the force, Crush Voldemort’s hand, swing a saber at immense speed if we arent counting the comics where Vader destroyed several masters in Anakin form. Voldemort massively outspeeds and I could even say blitzes Vader, but once Vader gets a force choke its all over, Disapperating does NOT work during stun spells or during clashes as explained in the fight of Dumbledore VS Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts, where with each clash it was made impossible to disaperate. Vaders strength outscales even the strongest master’s and his dueling is a force to be reckoned with.
Since almost no one here knows the lore of HP and even those who's on the Voldemort's side say wrong things, I'm here to fix some mistakes.
1) Yes, avada kedavra can be blocked by an object. But you've missed a very important detail - this object explodes when hit. Avada kedavra destroys everything upon contact, durability doesn't matter. And i don't think Vader can survive his own armor explosion.
2) As for the force choke, there are both choking and anti-choking spells in HP so Voldemort can either prevent himself from being chocked (even i know at least 5 ways to do that, imagine what he knows) or do the same with Vader if he wanted to.
3) lightsaber is a melee weapon that isn't much useful against the opponent who can fly, teleport, protect himself with force fields against all sorts of physical damage or just turn it into a banana.
4) About redirection of spells. This is a hard topic because it is unknown how the Force and magic would interact with each other but i want to point out that not all of the spells are energy beams or projectiles. There are lots of spells that have no visible effect nor travel time, magic just happens. Like transfiguration, legilimency, most of the charms, 2 of 3 unforgivable curses etc.
5) Don't know what are "the clashes" you talked about but if you were describing the situation where two beams collided then, 1) it's purely movie thing, in the books this can only happen to twin wands and 2) even if we assume it's canon, it has nothing to do with Vader because he can't shoot anything like that for "the clash" to happen
6) You didn't mention it but still want to add that wizards, especially Voldemort can use their magic without a wand or saying the spells out loud. It's more difficult that way for a regular wizards but top-tiers can do that easily with a hand gestures just like force users. Dumbledore once did this just by thinking about it.
@@gardoc1669 i understand what you are saying but people overestimate spells wayy too much. They think even in stunlock that you can use spells, harry against voldemort was getting choked by a black whip like thing and could not use any type of spell. During his fight with Draco Malfoy harry was thrown back many times and could not use spells and there are many more instances. Spells can NOT be used in a stunlock so if Vader gets a force choke theres simply no counter, whereas if voldemort gets vader in a spell choke, since spells are a energy source he can redirect it.
@@YxriixhiWouldWin Again, you're using wrong examples. Harry is a teenager with 7 years of school. Voldemort is a 70 year old most powerful wizard to ever live that mastered every form of magic. He was perfectly able to apparate away when Dumbledore suspended him in a bubble of water for example. Of course not every wizard is capable of such things but Voldemort is certainly one of them.
And you repeated your point about the spells being an energy that can be redirected despite the fact that i've already explained that not every spell has a form of energy projectile, there are lots of spells that just happen after you use them. For example in the Philosopher's stone Dumbledore just clapped his hands and transfigurated multiple Slytherin flags into Gryffindor ones. No beams, no light effects, no words, he didn't even pointed his wand anywhere how can you redirect that? Or in the Half-Blood Prince Dumbledore set Tom Riddle's wardrobe on fire also without anything and without even looking at it. I can continue if you want more examples

The wizards are the working class and ruling class. The jedi and sith are the warrior class. Sure the wizards can fight but they rely on self defense and terrorist methods. But the force users have seen wars, fought wars, and caused wars. And where the wizards have more abilities, the Sith and Jedi know how to use their free abilities to devastating effects.
