I just created my perfect setup.... threw two gamma super torque motors into each of my old magic clips, faper blade one one and taper blade on the other, both having ceramic cutters on them with tomb45 batteries
Whats the differemce between the gama super torque motor? Cos wahl magic clip has 5500 rpm and senior 7500rpm, is no difference to wahl senioe this motor no?
Your REALNESS is why I watch you. Many days I was ready to question myself and you inspired me. I love and enjoy what I do. I am always trying to grow and improve. Please keep inspiring those up and coming barbers and stylist. I appreciate your dedication and one day I wish to meet you. Keep it up!!!
I've been wanting to try the Ergo or Rogue all the rotary motor clippers I have give me a tough time to self cut my curly hair, I usually make unwanted lines & have to go higher with the fade, I believe magnetic motor should help me with my problem to blend my hair better. Did he announce the winner of this Rogue set? I didn't know that trimmer has The One blade I might look into getting the set. Is Brushless motors also better for blending than rotary motors?
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🔥🔥🔥🫡💈 As an apprentice! My mentor/ friend had me start from the ground up. First week I took apart an older andis trimmer, cleaned it and put it back together…and also refurbish a wahl set of cordless clippers. He wanted me to to have an idea of the money making machine and what went into it, the functions and how it all worked. He also felt and shared that within the industry not a lot of barbers were taking their clippers apart anymore or for that matter that school does not teach that at all. Thank you for all the info and gems always!!🔥🔥
Wow. What a timely video. I was confused about the characteristics of each motor type and you cleared it right up. Thanks for sharing your knowledge through your content!
Thanks for breaking down the differences between clipper motors. I now understand how it can be important to have a mixture of different motors in your line up to help tackle any job most effectively! Always look forward to watching you videos!
Great informative video as always you have been very helpful. I never really payed attention to what motors are in my clippers But now I know. Thank you!
Thanks for the great info! I started barbering a 3 years ago and I was immediately fascinated with how clippers and trimmer motors work, so its nice to have a video with a real breakdown. I have learned so much from your channel…more than I learned in school. Thanks Eddie ! Eddie’s Army !!!! 🪖💈
Just started watching ur videos. I’ve been cutting for a long time but switched to do Color but just started getting back into the barber game and ur videos r definitely helping me choose which clippers I should buy. I’m outta the phase of just buying every clipper out there just to have. Thank u
My favorites in my lineup change week to week usually. If you put a faper combing blade on a wahl senior with a magic clip cutting blade…. It goes crazy my friend!
Great info from this video. That is part of the reason why I have diversity in my clipper lineup. I like to have different types of clipper motors and different blades to stay diverse and be able to tackle any haircut.
Thanks for the clarification, I’ve been looking for a cordless clipper for months and watching your videos. Being left handed, corded clippers are a pain In the butt and the cords are always in my way! Glad to see all the improvements! Always have used rotary motor but just cuz I liked it but now the know the different types! Thank you
I just pre-ordered the rebel b/c it has a rotary motor. I have had so many clients lately who have enough hair on their heads for two people! The wahl magic clips are just not getting it at all, I need something more powerful, and after doing a ton of research on rotary versus magnetic, I’m really excited to try the rebels! Thank you for your expertise :-)!
Your videos are awesome, Eddie! I’ve been a subscriber for years and have learned a lot from you. Thank you for creating amazing content. You set the bar extremely high! 💪
That's very informative Eddie.. I needed this info. 🙌 Finally made it into a shop it's been rough. Looking to get more comfortable with the tools and the different clients hair texture and this video I needed, it giving me an idea of the clippers I can get. WOULD BE AWESOME IF I WON THOSE 🏆 😎. Channel is making an impact on my craft from the first video I watch till now.
Greetings from 🇨🇺, i have learned a lot with your videos,I have only used the rotary motor on cordless clippers and the magnetic one in corded both of them are good
Quality information about motor differences! Since following your channel Ive learned so much THAT I CAN APPLY to my every day grind! Also this shared info helps me to keep up with the big dogs in the barbershop lol and lead me to my BARBER licensing -3 weeks and a couple payments to wrap up Barber cross-over course I'm doing. Thank YOU Eddie 💈💈
I will agree about the forgiveness, I don't know if i agree about the torque necessarily. Just because it's smoother operating, or doesn't jar your hand when you turn them on doesn't mean they aren't higher torque. They're also running a higher rpm which will make it feel smoother. As with other motors, less friction with same electric input should increase torque. I feel like the mythic powers through bulk hair better than my rotary clippers, even with the same blade. Thanks for the ongoing though, keep up the good work!
Personaly i like quiet clipper. My go to is burshless motor on kiepe power up and lence pro. One has fade one has taper blade. No issues at all. For my trimmer i got x evo and skeleton so both different. It depends on the haircut which clipper i would use as well
Thanks Eddie for all your hard work and valuable information!!! I’ve been wanting to get a new cordless clippers and this gives me something to keep in mind. Wish ya nothin but the best!!! Keep grinding!!!
I’ve got a faper blade on an x-ergo that I feel helps get my skin line out a little easier. May switch back to a taper blade and use that clipper more for fading!
Thank you for explaining the differences in the motors. I was overwhelmed and confused by the various types of motors before watching this. I’ve been using the babybliss pro gold fx and I feel like they haven’t been very easy to fade with at all. They also seem awkward to hold and heavy. I wish I would have started watching your channel before I purchased the babybliss. Your channel has helped me immensely! I appreciate you, your craft and dedication to the industry and all the time you put into teaching others.
I learn something new every time I watch your channel. I just bought the uno shaver and heat stroke cordless brush by style craft because of the videos you’ve made. Hopefully in the near future I’ll be able to get my hands on some style craft clippers and trimmers as well to try out 🙌🏽💯. I’m definitely gonna be trying to get my hands on the rebel and x ergo 🔥💈💈💈💈
It’s awesome! That taper blade is forgiving forgiving and forgiving 😂😂😂 appreciate the way you broke down the differences in the motors and why they do what they do. Appreciate you Eddie as always I’m still an alpha man myself slower motor but precise as it is a Gamma!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
First clipper I used was a pivot motor . The Andis pmx , experience line with an Andis Phat blade and a 0000 detachable cutting blade. This was badass.. now I’m using my phats blade on an ergo!
Great info, been using the gold magic clips(rotary motor) since I started a couple months ago and I just got my new caliber .50 cal mag 4th gen(magnetic motor) today and I’m excited to try it out!!
i have the rebels and they are my favorite clippers so far ! I just ordered the mythics with the fusion blade i cant wait to try it out 👍 great breakdown btw enjoy your videos 🤙🏼
I have a set up of a Magnetic motor clipper and a rotary motor clipper..the Magnetic has a fade blade and the rotary has a taper blade and I love the combination.
Hey Eddie thanks for the input. I like that you speak from experience and tell us what really works for you. Now I'm sure that changing a blade wont change motor speed or nothing technically but does blade change effect smoothness or ergonomics or anything? I'm way over due for a new set of clippers and want my clients to feel like a million bucks, but unfortunately I don't have that million bucks to spend. So I do want something that will last but without having to buy extra blades and what not. Thanks!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Dope video 💯🎯Hey Eddie I'm digg'n the brushless motor in the Saber and paired it with the slim deep tooth cutter and faper still blade and man it took me to Crunch City!!!
Thanks bro for soo much info. Would like to know how the Andis US pro Li against the Stylecraft rebel. I k ow it’s the same rotary motor and the rebels also have more speed. I want to know about performance though. Thank you
Thanks for the info as always! It can be really hard to decipher all this new tech going into hair clippers and trimmers nowadays! My cordless andis masters took a dump on me this past weekend🤦🏻♂️ so looking to try a new clipper! That rogue combo would be a huge help if i won😬
I started barbering when clippers were all corded and u used to have to wait for a specific time on a specific day to watch ur favorite TV show. I wanna buy a new clipper to add to the line up…I know ur a gamma man so maybe it’s a stupid question but I’ve narrowed it down to the the Rebel or the FX influencers. I have the JRL’s and the senior already if u or anyone reading have any feedback pls LMK
It’s hard to say which one is the best. I like to have all motors with one taper blade in one and fade blade in the other. Hair types makes the difference in all also. Rotary with a fade blade is great with thick hair initially to debulk. Then a rotary with a taper blade to fade. If I had to choose one motor, rotary for clippers. But for trimmers, the brushless motor is the best. One DLC blade and one original Babyliss gold fx blade.
I would like to try a different clipper other than my seniors. Not sure what to purchase, I’m looking for something light weight and time efficient. Cordless is a plus…
I got 2 seniors and 2 babyliss boost and some rebels. You think I should get a magnetic clipper. I’ve been having my eyes on the mythics but don’t want to buy them to let them sit
Mythics are fantastic but a bit heavy. About the same weight as a Corded Senior or Corded Master in a sense. If you don’t mind that then I recommend the Mythic but if you want a lighter alternative then get the .50 Cal 3rd generation it has 8 hours of battery life and a fade blade or the 4th generation with 3-4 hours of battery life BUT it has a “fusion” blade or you can’t go wrong with the Stylecraft Ergo too but it only has 2 hours of runtime
Not sure what clipper you have or what blade do you have on it? Most of the clipper blades that come in stock run pretty cool. But if you were looking for less friction, I would say don’t use a magnetic motor
GUYS! I have a question.. i have gamma+ absolute alpha rotary motor cliper aaaaaaaaaaaaand gamma+ x-ergo magnetic motor clipper. In my case.. situation is different than he said. How can x-ergo 10000RPM be forgiving? It hits like a crazy.. almost like a trimmer. I am using it to remove bulks and stuff. In other hand i have Alpha which is.. most forgiving clipper that i have right now. It has problems removing bulks etc. it is only 7200RPM and so.. You got my point. So am i dumb enough to not understand basic principles or something strange had happened in my case?
I just created my perfect setup.... threw two gamma super torque motors into each of my old magic clips, faper blade one one and taper blade on the other, both having ceramic cutters on them with tomb45 batteries

Short and sweet, well done..
I really enjoyed the fast feed clipper
The ergo chip can be shrunk by half with a mirco processor but what I have noticed is an ergo can actually make a rookie better
Love the videos keep it up💪🏽
So I have a quick question 🙋♂️ will a wahl magic clip BATTERY fit on the absolute alphas. Would appreciate the feed back, thanks!
The Fast Feed Pivot is very forgiving on blends
Good info, once again... dope vid
Hello, you talk about motor and i have question : can magnetic station damage clippers's motors or anything else in the clipper? have a good day
Ayeeeeeeeeee rogue. I need that !!!
Taking a shot lol.
Does the same concept apply to trimmers?
Lol I see my hairdryer box in the back. That thing blows all the access hair across the shop to the other barbers.
Thanks for the vid!
I would like the set my friend. Great info also
so the sc is better than the Baby ?
Across the board it’s very comparable but I think you get more value with SC and in some cases better performance
Shortly used the wahl 100 anniversary edition. Man that is a great clipper.
I enjoy your teaching thanks much
What do You think about Panasonic linear motor?
Does magnetic motor wirh higher than 8000 rpm creates lots of heat on the blade?
@@kennethz3366 not with the Stylecraft blades they’re actually very cool
That’s dope I also wonder which battery ages best an is easiest to repair.
I need to get the sabers next. I have been cutting my hair for the past 2 years and style craft/gamma has not disappointed
Instinct bouta change the game
That faper blade is next level !
What’s the best trimmer and clipper for home use for my beard and line up. Thx
Man those rogues are gonna look dope next to my alpha and hitters.
which is more forgiving? mythic or saber?
Is the vector motor magnetic, digital brush, or rotary?
What about a linear motor that is e.g. in the Panasonic ER 1611?
For some reason SC and gamma seen so much easier to fade with than whal and Andis clippers I switched from using those and don't regret it
wish I saw this sooner to be apart of the giveaway. great information as always 👍
I bought the protégé I really want the rogue set....and also these videos are always heplful
Is the BaBylissPRO Boost+ have digital brusless motor?
Does the type of blade effect the type of motor your prefer?

Rebels
Gamma Boosted or Rebel
My fav motor is magnetic but any rotary motor is quiet standard right now I think.
The ergo is the best thing I ever bought I swear only got it cuz of your videos

Hardest cuts high fade into 4 on top or higher
forgiveness means what? in clipper?
what about replacements
What happened to the babyliss fx 880 motor ?
What about vector motor? Does it fit into the magnetic motor category?
@@Dave2662 it is actually a linear motor so in a way yes but the vector motor is like a magnetic motor on steroids
