I was thinking today about which games have had the most impact on me. Not the "Best games" but the best memories. FF7 sits at the top. And even this music has an effect on me that most people just don't understand. It really is that good.
I have been trying to express to my wife how much FF7 had an impact on me, although it was “on that day, 25 years ago”… I’m not a video game nerd, and indeed FF7 was not the “best game”, but the memories,… the soundtrack,… the atmosphere. So sometimes my wife asks me to explain why? What are the special features of the game that had such an impact… I don’t know. I have read thousands of books and good mangas. I have seen excellent movies and animations. Ok, Sephiroth is cool, but he is not the only badass vilain out there. The only thing I know is that we are not the only one. Almost every one I know who played at FF7 have very fond memories and feel nostalgic about the game.
FF7 literally changed my life (I’m completely serious) without it I wouldn’t have gotten in to Pokémon, the PlayStation line of systems, or music experimenting. It truly changed the course of my life.
I stumbled upon your absolutely incredible work by complete chance and seeing your last video uploaded 3 years ago makes me sad. Wherever you are, I hope you're doing great; know that you had a gigantic impact on me and that I love listening to everything you uploaded here. Thank you so much.
Really excellent stuff. Buttery smooth key transitions, slick layering techniques. This is so much more than a playlist, it's a recap of the game for your ears.
Probably the best videogame soundtrack in existence. Every song invokes the feel of the scenes it was set behind, the battle music never gets old, the fanfare after, the boss music was similar but a bit more epic. The turks music was the perfect match, the shinra theme all of it just fit so well.
Respect to you for making this. Finally some quality modern mixes of ff7. Great transitions too! I really appreciate you making this. It is evident you put a ton of focus into this project. Nobuo would jam to this.
I'm speechless with your work. It is incredible. You gave a new life to the original masterpieces. I would like to thank you a lot for it because I'm a huge fan of FF7 soundtrack and this brought powerfull feelings to me ! I'm impatient to see the next things you're working on ! Congratulations for this amazing hard work and once again : THANK YOU SO MUCH
The OST of Final Fantasy VII/VIII/IX have accompanied me for my whole life. Lately while basically going through the hardest time of my life I've discovered your works and you can't imagine how much that helped me. I really appreciate your dedication and just wanted to thank you. PS: If you ever consider doing another Great Final Fantasy Medley, for the love of god do VIII!
Heard it once, bought your album on Amazon, and going to listen it again until you release your next medley. I hope you can find the time and money to keep this up man, you truly have a gift.
From 'Electric de chocobo' to 'Let the battles begin!' (=Still more fighting/Those who fight further), you crazy man! All your medleys are pure gold and I've listened to them so many times that when I listen to the actual OSTs, I'm kinda expecting your every transitions. Bravo man.
This makes me want to replay the original FF VII again or hope the remake comes out soon and continues to do the game justice. This was one of the greatest games to play in my childhood hands down.
I don't know why, but Nobuo Uemastsu-san is genius composer in the world. I just love how perfect Transition Tifa Theme and Main Theme (Cloud Theme), The Ending Theme waa so good when I hearing for the first time I literally crying. It's sound just 👌🏻Perfect. Btw, your remix is top notch too sir 🔥
This is really good! I feel like you would get more views if you put the word: 'Reorchastrated' or 'Revamped', mostly because I feel like people look at the title and assume this is a compilation of all the original music from the game instead of an actual remake of the music altogether. Anyways I enjoyed the whole thing. Good job. EDIT: Title it Re-creation maybe...?
Thanks ! :) Thats a good point. To be honest, the views on my first medley started to increase noticeable around three months after the upload, when i posted it in several FF facebook fanpages. I didn't do that with the other two medleys because i guess these page were gone and facebook abviously is not used that much anymore. Adding one of the words to the title may help a little, i will think about it. But a good marketing is everything today :D Not sure where, what or how to do this properly.
This is absolutely fantastic, and 1K views certainly doesn’t do it justice. How long did this all take, and is there anywhere I can donate to you or something?
Thank you :) This was done in "only" 10 months, but i worked like crazy on it. The other two medleys took much longer. I added my paypal link to the description, just for the case... Any support is much appreciated, of course. Thanks for your comment :)
it occurs to me that while there is a game maker kit that can make these kind of 2D JRPG sprites walking around town/the field and then do a side battle when encountering a monster group (like the old SNES games), the way that these FF games add in all these different cut-scenes from all different angels, is something why it was so different from the rest of the pack, even back when the JPRGs were this same side-scrolling battle type and 2D super-deformed character design. At the same time, games like Lunar Silver Star Stories were good and had good music too, but I guess integrating animated cut-scenes into the game never really picked up here in the USA. There are probably tons of games like that in Japan/Asia.
Hello! I just found out about this album here! Any plans on making this amazing “Final Fantasy VII” fan album available on Bandcamp as well? I’d really prefer to support it on there since they offer fans to have it in a much higher audio format than “Amazon” and “iTunes” and others out there possibly the highest I’ve come to know, audio quality is a huge thing for me when it comes to Music and buying Music, so if you could possibly make it available on Bandcamp I’d love to support this amazing album! These new renditions here sound incredibly well done! Bandcamp is the perfect place for an album like this here! There are lots of Indie Artists and VGM Remixes on that there overall! Keep up the awesome work!!!🙏🏻 Distant Memories 1996 Official Writer & Librarian Of The ROE
Hi, thanks for the nice feedback! I bought the licenses for each track via a distributor to publish the album legally. Unfortunately they do not distribute to bandcamp. I know bandcamp and do like it as well, i also bought a few albums from there in the past. As I know i would need new licenses just to put it there which makes not that much sense for me i guess. Maybe i could still take a look. I'm not an audio format expert but isn't wave already the best format which would be available on amazon for example? At least this is the format which was exported by the DAW. Best, wLasky
Those videos are pure gold but damn RUclips ruins it by placing a effing add every 5~6 minutes. It became just unlistenable. RUclips, you became a disgrace.
Well.. the game being 23 years old, I guess it is ok now. (the game was released the same year as the Fifth Element or Titanic, and I guess we can spoil Titanic's ending ^^)
@@thousandyea ok, maybe where you live. But i can ask anyone at my school of they have heard of final fantasy and they've all said "WHATS THAT???" Like im criminally insane...
I worked pretty hard on this one.
Of course my greatest respect and thanks goes to Nobuo Uematsu.
I hope you enjoy it
You Sir, are a legend 🙌
I listened to your other FF medleys, I loved them. I was really waiting for a new one :)
One of the best mixes out there! Thank you for your effort. Liked and added to Favorites 👍
It definitely shows that you worked hard on this one - it's amazing! Superb job! :)
thanks!
This is one of the best remix medleys I’ve heard. Like really, amazing job on this!

Every FF7 fan should listen to this.
I don't know why a video this awesome is still lack of views

Pure genius.

Goosebumps when "Those Chosen by the Planet" creeps in... awesome!
After 2+ years, this is still the best FF7 mix of the ost ever, in my opinion.
Been waiting for a new playlist forever. I listen to the first 2 medleys multiple times per week. Thanks for uploading.

Wow - the transition into Gold Saucer! Make it longer and its own thing - absolutely haunting - well done!!
Can't wait until 50 years from now and this game is long forgotten, only for someone to make a movie about it or something.
Without listening to it, i gave a thumbs up already
cause i know its gonna be epic
Word up!
Masterpiece✨
Smoooth transitions

Thank you for doing these videos, man. Would love to see one for XIII and maybe XV as well. Cheers.
