- Edward IV was King of England from 1461 to 1483 … although bear in mind, he was dethroned for six months in 1471.
He’s the 12th Plantagenet King to have reigned in England - the first Yorkist King - and he played an integral part in the Wars of the Roses.
He’s famous for having usurped the previous sitting king Henry VI when he was 18 years old … and for setting the stage for one of history’s villains (maligned, though he may have been).

If you study the Battle of Towton you will find out the Yorkist probably never should have won that battle. Weather was random advantage to them and if the winds had just blown a different direction I believe we would have a great butterfly effect on our hands.

Edward IV was conceived when Richard of York was away fighting. Edward was given a modest baptism, whereas his younger brother (next born) no expense was spared.
Utter nonsense. Absolutely no one believed that, least of all his Father. That engagement lasted months. Which allowed his Father to go home, likewise his Mother to visit.
