For those that keep asking for the lyrics... As it is sung here the lyrics are: O Rome Eternal of martyrs and saints O Rome Eternal do receive our acclaim O Rome Eternal of martyrs and saints O Rome Eternal do receive our acclaim To thee we turn our king and defender In thee we see our sweet Redemptor Peter's own voice the whole world hearts in thine Comfort and shield in this combat most divine All gates of hell against thee shall not prevail They sword of truth eternal shall never fail Salve Salve Rome Everlasting is thy history Monuments and alters shall ever proclaim thy glory. Rome of the apostles truth's mother and master All the world and Christendom await thee O Rome.
THis is the first time I have seen a Mass like this one, so what is happening here in this one, it seems very special indeed, the vestments are ones I haven't seen before. The organ is majestic and wonderfully played ! I am new to the Faith so info would be appreciated !
PART 1 Hymn and Pontifical March (Inno e Marcia Pontificale) is the national anthem of the Vatican City. O immortal Rome, accept our praises. Glory in the heavens to God our Lord And peace to men who love Christ! To you we come, angelic Pastor, In you we see the gentle Redeemer. You are the holy heir of our Faith, The comfort and pride of those who believe and fight. Force and terror will not prevail, But truth and love will reign.
PART 2: PONTIFICAL MARCH Hail, O Rome, eternal abode of memories; A thousand palms and thousand altars sing your praises. O city of the Apostles, mother and guide of the elect, Light of the nations, nnd hope of the world! Hail, O Rome! Your light will never fade; the splendour of your beauty disperses hatred and shame. O city of the Apostles, mother and guide of the elect, Light of the nations, and hope of the world!
O Rome Eternal of martyrs and saints O Rome Eternal do receive our acclaim O Rome Eternal of martyrs and saints O Rome Eternal do receive our acclaim To thee we turn our king and defender In thee we see our sweet Redemptor Peter's own voice the whole world hearts in thine Comfort and shield in this combat most divine All gates of hell against thee shall not prevail They sword of truth eternal shall never fail Salve Salve Rome Everlasting is thy history Monuments and alters shall ever proclaim thy glory. Rome of the apostles truth's mother and master All the world and Christendom await thee O Rome.
What is the purpose of this ceremony? What is the significance of the half-red and half-white symbol on the vestments? Where is this place located? I am a Protestant, this stuff seems, with proper respect, rather foreign to me.
His answer is not convincing. TFP, as civic organization, has never used such a habit. I say knowingly because I was a member of the TFP, which he always wore a red cape over his shoulders and never a religious habit. The external aspect of the civic body has always been and never religious. Ah, yes, the guys who lived in the monastery of St. Benedict with religious life, used internally as usual, but it was not official habit of TFP. Ask the Clá John, who was quidan of St. Benedict ...
@@ManuelRennhofer They aren't Knights of Columbus and they aren't Heralds of the Gospel. They are members of the new TFP in the United States. What they have in common with the Heralds is that they use the same habit. What they have in common with the Heralds and the Knights is that they accept Vatican II. The old TFP (Which is to say, the real TFP) did not accept Vatican II or the New Mass.
I believe it is in st patricks cathedral in Harrisburg Pennsylvania. It is being sung by the American TFP, which is where those cool banners on either side of the alter are from

O Happy Rome is the translation
Forgive my ignorance, but are they member of an order of knights?
They are the "Knights of Columbus".
No, they are Herolds of the Gospel 😉

You were allowed to wear the habit of Heralds of the Gospel? It is a religious order and her habit is private.
