One of the joys of finding your channel recently ( mid to late 2020) .... I have lots of videos to get through! Didn’t realise your channel has been on here so long!
Hi Karina, I can hear the morning doves coohing in the background...and all the other birdies. You live in a beautiful place birds and building with stone, wood and clay. Love the floral fabric. Cool music...getting the Bazilian vibe😊 thank you for the tutorial on the V - neck. Flowy LBD is a classic "summer in the city" dress. Thank you. Jill
I just want to say how wonderful this Sonata dress is. And thank-you Karina for this great tutorial and the others you have done on the Sonata.. I never knew that darts could be moved and why they may need to be moved. I lowered the bust dart by 1 inch...I've never done that before. I also did the sleeveless version and sewed in the bias tape as per your tutorial on this. I've never had a dress fit me so well.
I just did my mockup yesterday and really liked how it fit, and I was surprised it worked so well the first time. I didn't realize it was that old of a pattern.
I love both dresses on you! Another great pattern. Glad to see it’s still available! 🙂And I agree with you on that colour combo... I just bought new bedding ( to bring in 2021 with a fresh look) and the colour is navy blue, with burnt orange/ rust pieces .That colour is so in vogue atm. ( 2020) Hope you are still getting some use out of those lovely dresses. I’m determined to sew one or two for myself soon.
Myra Lorraine to be honest, everyone looked great with this dress on, it’s amazing how flattering it is and how great it is to test and not need to do anything adjustment! Thanks for watching 🤗
Love the opening bossa nova beat!! Like the neckline a lot and they sewed up beautifully! Attention to the details makes all the difference! Great job!
You are so talented! I love your tutorials and look forward to hearing about your adventures. You inspired me to make a Sonata Dress for my "me Makes May" project.
Another great video. I made a cotton tunic that I really liked but after seeing one of your vlogs, I have lowered the bust dart and have now made it again - genius - the fit is now perfect. Thank you. x
Very beautiful dresses, I tried to buy the pattern but... I'll have to wait until I get home from work tonight (I do home health nursing 3 evenings per week) to figure out what I need to do. I really like the overall style, but with the pockets, I can wear it to work this summer
love the dresses and will definitely look up this new pattern company. Thank you so much for these videos . it is nice not to have to make so many adjustments to commercial patterns, so looking forward to sewing with this pattern.
Hi Karina, both dresses are beautiful 💞. You have done a great pattern test for Love Notions and they must be very happy with your results 😍. As I have said before, I'm not a big dress wearer, but I think I could leave the bottom portion out of this pattern and successful make it into a top. Great to have the cup sizes to choose from👍. Congratulations on a successful pattern test 😊😘
Sally Dingle not all of my tests in the past have been as enjoyable as this one as there was absolutely nothing I would have changed to this design. You could totally make a top! I will 👍🏼
Great job with the dresses, I'm liking this pattern. I have the Love Notions Rhapsody pattern, I have yet to sew it up. Need to pull that out. I love the floral one and I agree about gathers and elastic , but like you said for this pattern it's perfect.
beautiful, yes I like it when you explain about the how the fabric drapes and what the material is. also thank-you for sharing tips and ideas and what you do for construction. Have a beautiful day!
Hi, I love that you put a dot below the 'vee'. That is helpful. It does look like you may not join the shoulder seams of your facing before attaching the facing to the garment - is that right?
@@LiftingPinsandNeedles I normally join the shoulder seams of the facing first but it looks as it yours aren't joined when you are sewing on the facing, that was why I was asking, as I thought it was a short cut! thank you for all your lovely videos

I love both of your dresses, but I have to say the navy is my favorite.
Very flattering on you and looks easy to sew as long as you take your time on the neckline.
LeeAnn Wicker yep. Once the neckline is done, the rest is a piece of cake 👍🏼

Lovely results So glad it went well for you. I have a few Love Notions patterns :) ( of course I have !!)

Janice K big pockets on this dress 👍🏼 only I never make pockets lol. I’m glad adding them was optional in the pattern testing process.

NaturalDane if it’s in the back it’s all good and helps accentuate the waist from the back. So thumbs up 👍🏼.
Loved the dresses, especially the floral one. You always do such a great job. Wish I was brave enough to try a PDF pattern.
Angel Spadafore there’s always a first time. I’ve been using pdf for more than 12 years and I prefer them!

Gorgeous makes. Love all your vlogs.
Patricia Stephenson thank you so much
Love it! Great fit!
Could you explain please how you avoid stay stitching if you sew the shoulder seams and neckline first. Thank you
I don’t understand the question. You want to avoid stay stitching?
@@LiftingPinsandNeedles I thought that is what you said in your video
Looks great. Is the pattern online only?
Carmen Martinez yep. PDF only.

I made my daughter one with wax cotton, and it was just not drapey at all, bad fabric choice. so I'm going for a softer drape on mine. poor kid ahhaa
