Who's that wicked marketing person behind these wicked "mobile friendly" videos??? I am sure he/she must have watched some RUclips videos on Digital Marketing and said "Oh yes over 70% videos are consumed on mobile so we must make vertical videos to be mobile friendly". But the right way is actually do 2 versions: one for mobile and one for desktop. BMW wake up!

I was a regular BMW customer for many many years. But after seeing the change in design language I’m sorry to say I will no longer buy another BMW. I think the design becoming too Asian which is not my type.
They only care about the Chinese market now. The same market that has no problem with stealing everyone else's designs.

As a long time BMW fan and owner, I really think the front grille design is hideous. I've tried to like it, looked at it many times, hoping it would grow on me as some previous BMW designs have but just...nope. Dropped the ball on this one. 😖

As a BMW customer and enthusiast I think that the essence and values of its design is being lost. The 3 series is pure BMW style. The 4 likes a kind of Lexus mixed with an AMG, ... and a KIA
Globally it looks much more linked to 8 series. But trying to “educate” the customers with so risky elements as the kidneys could be a commercial big failure.
These are *LUNGS* now and the 8 Coupé is a sexy Mustang, while the 8 GranCoupé a Mustang + Stinger. Meanwhile, this 4 Coupé is really Audi A5 + Infiniti Q60 with Bugs Bunny frontage.

But why? The old 4 series was incredibily good-looking, why destroying the looks with those hideous grills? The side and the rear are awesome, why ruin everything with that front? If huge grills are needed, please use the hommage 3.0 csl ones, those were cool, unlike these...

BMW always looked handsome now for the sake of attention and design language, its looking offensive.
It’s not a good sign if you have to convince others for a new design language. Either it appears attractive to a certain customer group large enough to be a financial success, or not. I’m pretty sure that the later case will come true for this ugly monstrosity and we will hopefully see a more appealing BMW design in the not too far future. By the way, the 4-series is another disappointment after the 7-series facelift and the 2-series Gran Coupe...maybe time for a new design chief? Other idea: Do some customer survey BEFORE bringing something like this to the market and please LISTEN to these people carefully. Last remark: Please don’t wear a hipster hat for a 80.000€ car advertisement and please use your iPhone in landscape instead of portraiture mode for filming.

BMW G-series : When the design department is ruled by marketeers. Come on just admit it: Big grilles = brand reinforcement. Homing in on a new demographic of potential buyers in China who are oblivious to the history of BMW but just want the brand for status.
I'm sure, that aftermarket front bumper + kidney grill will be the most bought aftermarket upgrade for the new 4 series

I LOVE the design of the new 4 Series. It's PERFECT. I'm sure sales will be very, very good. The kidney looks perfect. It's not just big, it's a new interpretation.

The GRILL is not great but once the NUMBER PLATE was on it.. it kind of balanced everything. Good thinking. Well done BMW.

Okay, I get that you want to have a throwback with the kidney grills. But to me it's just way off. In the csl. It looks good, to the new one....not so much. It's just a personal perspective. If I had the money. I'd buy the M430i or the Aplina B3

I own the 2020 4 series and love it. I really enjoy the design of this newer model and actually prefer it over the 2020. No need to fire anybody. There are plenty of more traditional style models in the line up for those who aren't open to this design.

Funny, if you don’t like this particular design for what to cry “ I don’t buy BMW anymore”, there are plenty other models. Each model for own niche, customer segment. Can’t tell yet how this look in live but nothing wrong with it. It has different style, that’s all. Time will show. Same things was any time BMW introduced new look. If you hate, go buy another car.

Dear BMW I don't understand your decisions right now. I remember when you told us that the new 8 series will define the future BMW design language. Everyone was hiped, because the 8 looks absolutely stunning from every angle. The kidney grill on the 8 looks amazing and fits perfectly into the front... but this mess on the front of the 4... why? It looks absolutely terrible!

Love this car - especially those new kidney grills.
That car will sell like hot cakes in states that don’t require a front license plate , but all of the other states that do require one it will look terrible on that grill but overall it is a good looking car
Re-hire Nicolas Huet from GM and have the entire design of the front over-hauled as a fix.
Do the same for the 5 LCI and 6.

I think it looks pretty good but not if a license plate has to go there. Audi has to do the same thing but at least there it doesn’t interrupt any styling lines, here it splits the kidneys right in two. On the all black grill it looks better.
Sorry man, I can see this look good on the M3/4 but it just looks so hideous here, I'll say it again: I will point with the finger on it and laugh about it just as I do for the 7series facelift already. Angry pig style is hideous AF.
The worst thing is this car doesn't even look good in general. The only attractive side is the back. I always felt as if BMW had several design teams, one does the hits and another one the plentyful misses. This is clearly one of the latter.

I was unsure about the grill when the 7 series came out
but after I saw it in real life I could only love it, amazing and such a strong appearance
so am waiting to see that 4 series in "person" and will decide then 😉
