For the most part is the same process. Where it makes more complication is when the detached is on Hillside or different elevation from the home which creates more factors to deal with. Garage conversions are averaging 4 to 6 months. Most projects are 6 to 10 months. There’s so many departments that are involved with the process that sometimes building and planning are completed, but other departments are not. This delay in getting permit. It’s 340 ft.² and it does have a one bedroom of course small one bedroom. We’ve done to our garage into a one bedroom, which I highly recommend instead of a studio. Still have a closet so might as well install a dividing wall to give it more value and privacy. It does look bigger, but it’s not.

How can that be 340sq ft you even have room for a bedroom. It looks bigger than 340sq ft
