Considering even Gene Roddenberry was playing the whole thing with a wink and a nod by the time the movies came along? The novelization of Star Trek: The Motion Picture had a footnote saying that the Vulcan term Spock uses to address Kirk could mean "brother" or even "lover" depending on context. Yeah, it's never explicit, but falls into the "wouldn't be shocked" category.
No matter what you consider there relationship to be, i think there is one thing everyone and anyone who watches the show can agree on: Spock and Kirk lives would be boring and awful (and most likely a lot shorter) if they didn't know each other.
I watch this at least once a week, and I ALWAYS cry when it says "I can't let you go" and it shows Kirk getting spock back in the search for spock. THAT GODDAMN MOVIE.
I cant imagine growing up without having this be one of the most memorable treasures of my childhood in the 60s. We never missed an episode. Always had popcorn or chips and a little cup of pepsi. If Dad was outside we always told him it was on. It was a show you held it until a commercial to run to the bathroom. And with 5 kids thank goodness we had 2. But one was downstairs. Lol. So you had to anticipate your jump up time. Lol. I knew at a very young age although I didnt know it at the time. That I was straight. Lol. Loved Kirk. Respected Spocks intelligence and loyalty. And I thought Uhura was the Most Beautiful Elegant woman ever. Thank You to these Amazing actors and Gene Roddenberry for this Incredible and Timeless Experience. ❤
How on EARTH did anyone watch this wonderful show without going, "Oh, Spock and Kirk? They're totally doing it." You've inspired me to actually go back and watch TOS. Amazing. THANK YOU FOR THE AWESOME VID!
Can I like, steal all of Spock's facial expressions? Please? PLEASE? Gosh they are so painfully perfect. :) Love them to death. :) So canon it's scary, and so cute it hurts.
The gangster [A Piece of the Action] episode = my favorite TOS episode ever. Ever. :) And the thing that makes me ROFL is how Shatner always looks like he's been half-drowned in oil whenever he has his shirt off. :P
@TanyaRayne Kirk with Vulcan (actually Romaulan) ears/eyebrows is "The Enterprise Incident" [season 3] and them dancing is from probably the creepiest episode in TOS history "Plato's Stepchildren" [season 3].
Good job! Love the song, love the guys. Kirk/Spock = Logical. Their interaction during the show always made me smile. How anyone in the 60s missed this just blows my mind. 5/5 =D

And he doesn't like it when I point it out. I mean, at the end of the episode where Spock has to mate or die, he never actually does anything when he goes back to Vulcan, but him and Kirk run off together at the end of the episode :/
