    It's funny that, since Morrowind, all the player characters become imortal somehow. The Nerevarine is in Akavir (supposedly), The Hero of Kvatch became Sheogorath (pretty much confirmed) even appearing in Skyrim as the Daedra prince and the Dragonborn is binded with Hermaneus Mora and his realm, thus immortal as well (though Dragonborn are technically immortal anyway, or at least their souls keep reincarnating).

    • @christiancristof491
      @christiancristof491 6 лет назад +48

      Technically we do not know what's up with the dragonborn until canon sources.

      You're right, but it's pretty obvious we are to remplace miraak, just like him we want all the power, all the knowledge, we think we better than everyone, and merciless.
      and after miraak's defeat, you are to serve hermaeus mora.

      @@terrybigsmilesmcknuckles4816 Dragon born souls belong to akatosh. If you sold your soul to a million daedric princes Akatosh will be like: '' His soul is mine and mine only! ''.

    • @robertsmalls2293

      Zoarmhirr Only the main quest, and DLC quests are canon. Typically it’s a different random unnamed character that does the College, Guilds, and Brotherhood quest lines... all those events are canon, but it’s never actually our character that does them. Obviously we can do them ourselves, but that’s never been the canonical result so far. Basically the Last Dragonborn survives Helgen, Negotiates a temporary truce between the Empire & Stormcloaks, defeats Alduin, stops Harkon from blocking out the sun, defeats Mirrak, and finally becomes the new “Champion” of Hermaeus Mora until he dies, and his soul goes to Akatosh. Pretty much every side faction quest line was done by someone else, and the only Canon Daedric quest is the one for Hermaeus mora. Just watch, that’s going to be the lore explanation. It always is...

    • @lordzenkai2004

      @@robertsmalls2293 That's true. And because it's never said WHO did all those other things, it can still be implied that it was the player character themself, in this case the Dragonborn, so it's not impossible that the PC does those quests but because Bethesda doesn't want us, the players, to feel forced to do specific things because that's what the character is meant to do, they make it very vague. Which in terms of the gameplay experience I think it makes it more fun but when it comes to the lore it just makes no sense, wouldn't it be common knowledge that The Dragonborn stopped the Skyrim civil war, became the Arch-Mage, and became the harbinger of the companions? It just makes sense for there to be songs sung about his adventures as not only a dragon slayer because he is basically the ultimate being in his time, excluding the dark brotherhood because that wouldn't be public knowledge.

    What I love about Morrowind lore is that the game feels like you're a time traveller, taking part in a historical event, only you just happen to be the pivotal player in said event! The game has a sense of history in its atmosphere, of old traditions and old religions. Following the trials of the Tribunal Temple is like taking part in an epic fable or myth, like Gilgamesh.
    Later on in the game you get a sense of change in the air, a new era is dawning, and the old is making way for the new. Incredible game.

    the thing i loved about the morrowind storyline seemed to not be set in stone. it didn't seem like a singular line of missions, but a freeform set of tasks and missions, that you would need to work for more than just punch through 10 draugr, pick up the important humptytump of the ancient hooplawoo and bring it to dude-guy or lady-gall.
    it prompted you to go deeper into the surrounding lore, the culture, to read what you need to do. you genuinely had to pay attention and read, sometimes between the lines, to know what to do. such is the way of RPG.
    at the end of the skyrim storyline, what you know about lore would be "yeah, nords and stuff, and sovngarde. dragons are old n stuff. and that was IF you didn't just click through conversations and sprint to the map marker to press e to activate and run back.
    skyrim is awesome and beautiful, but morrowind was the deepest i ever went into an elder scrolls game. and i completed that only long after i completed oblivion or skyrim.

      Uhhh Morrowind's quests also boil down to going into a dungeon, killing things, and then bringing a thing to a guy. The main difference was that Skyrim's dungeons were actually fun and took longer than 3 minutes to get through. There wasn't anything terribly complicated about having to read like you're implying either, but having to follow directions instead of following waypoints definitely makes the traveling aspect of your adventure more engaging. Overall Morrowind is deeper and more immersive than Skyrim, but not by nearly as much as people like to say...

    The problem with morrowind is that it’s a very old game with extremely dated graphics and it can turn modern players off people who lived when it was first released morrowind is a great game one of the best problem is because of it’s dated engine it’s beauty and potential is not fully utilized that’s why protects like skywind are important for the elder scrolls community to back cause it’s not just bringing Skyrim players in and to truly comprehend the true beauty and scale that the original morrowind players saw that’s just my view

    So here's what the protagonists are doing.
    The Nerevarine: Went on an expedition to Akavir. Hasn't been heard from since but can't say for sure if he's dead.
    Champion of Cyrodiil/Hero of Kvatch: Essentially became Sheogorath and went on vacation as he appears in Skyrim.
    Last Dragonborn: Pretty much whatever we do with him currently. All we know is that he was forced to serve Hermaous Mora to defeat Miraak.
    I hope Nerevarine and Dragonborn make an appearance or are referenced properly in TES 6. There's probably gonna be a Daedric quest related to Sheogorath so there's that.

    I liked that the storyline was also quite vague at the same time. It's not really 100% we are literally Nerevar reborn, or just somebody who "mantled" Nerevar by accomplishing similar feats to him and thus fitting into Nerevarine prophecy. There were previous failed incarnates and Azura would probably keep trying until it worked out, unless Dagoth Ur would manage to capture Kagrenac's tools. I actually quite like the idea that Nerevarine might just as well be a random guy, who got discovered by Emperor who had a thing for esoteric prophecies and stuff. He gets send to Morrowind and after he joins the Blades he can't really leave, or he would be tracked and executed for desertion. So he kinda goes along with what is happening and after he gets infected by Corprus his only hope was Divayth Fyr. He uses a special potion which helps him but kills everybody else. Did it work because only he was destined to drink it and survive, or maybe he was lucky/his body responded better due to his genetics or something like that (lol). Hero succeeds in his quest thanks to his skills, sheer determination and loads of luck.

    • @SecretSickle89
      @SecretSickle89 4 года назад

      That’s a great theory, it’s also kind of how I interpreted it the many times I played Morrowind. Because I can’t count the times I accidentally (or intentionally) killed a story character, proving that my character at that moment wasn’t actually the Nerevar.

    • @masterexploder9668
      @masterexploder9668 4 года назад

      @@SecretSickle89 There is also a secret back path. To know about it, player is required to read books on the matter and bring them over to someone who can read Dwemer language. It's interesting that you have to do your own research to accomplish the quest in alternate way. It makes Nerevarine Prophecies a set of guidelines how to get it done as smoothly as possible, but if you fail, you can just do it on your own. Unless you kill Yagrum for lolz then you are really screwed. Even then you can just use "CHIM" and use console command to get what you need (I also believe that CHIM = being aware you are in a video game so you start modding it).

      The Dragonborn actually met The Hero of Kvatch/Sheogorath and heard of The Neravarine in The Dragonborn DLC.

      It should happen in the Elder Scrolls 6, the Last Dragonborn meets the Hero of Kvatch in his Imperial form in the Divine Crusader Armor, then he and the Hero of Kvatch meet the Nerevarine in Akavir and the three heroes meet the Talin the Eternal Champion and the Hero of Daggerfall along with the Protagonist of the Elder Scrolls VI.

    Considering all the conflicting reports of what happened at the second Battle of Red Mountain, probably due to the Dragon Break caused by the manipulation of the Heart of Lorkhan by both Dagoth Ur and the Tribunal, you should probably include a section explaining alternative explanations.

    Something I don’t get, is if the Dweamer couldn’t use the power of the heart without not only their destruction but the loss of their entire race, how did the tribunal ? They had only just learnt about it too, compared that to the Dweamer who were so learned and advanced.

  • @danylo211
    @danylo211 3 года назад +1

    i am still confused. azura cursed the tribunal for their treachery and we are that curse, so why is our objective to kill dagoth ur (who was a good friend of nerevar and attempted to avenge his death) instead of the tribunal (who backstabbed nerevar)?

    • @samwich4444
      @samwich4444 Год назад

      This is a bit late but, The Sixth Trial of The Nerevarine Prophecy refers to The Nerevarine coming into conflict with Dagoth Ur and his Sixth House. Also, The Seventh Trial is about The Nerevarine getting rid of The Tribunal's power (which is done by destroying The Heart of Lorkhan).
      Also ,I believe that the reason Azura still wants Dagoth Ur out of the picture is because she still cares about the Dunmer people and wants them to thank her for saving them from him.

    Marrowind is gangster. Idc what anyones says. Its also funny as heck. I mean about 15 mins in after leaving Sayda Neen if you go down the northern path I believe, a dork of a wizard falls out of the sky and dies right in front of you and you can take his shit, its so random. Many other things like this make the game so fun. If they remastered it to have Skyrim level graphics(But Same character design of Marrowind) & fast travel more people would probably play it. Only the real ones know about ashlanding it with no fast travel.

    I have morrowind for the original xbox but I never got past the third quest because the game combat system I could hit the enemies only 1 out of 20 even though I am a experienced elderscrolls lore master and I completely 100% of both oblivion and skyrim I hope there is a mod to fix the combat system.

      You should complete Morrowind at least once
      If you build your character effectively weapons will hit more often.

      There's a mod to fix it. MEN: Oblivion-Like Combat Mod: Makes the combat similar to Oblivion; both you and enemies have 100% hit chance and magicka regenerates slowly: www.reddit.com/r/Morrowind/comments/6hssd1/men_combat_mod_removed/

      Gotta say dude this whole " I can't hit my enemy" stuff is pretty ridiculous,especially considering I've literally have had all characters (take one) do just fine with melee. People over-exaggerate the crap out of it and act like it's this game changing ordeal that no one has answers to,when back here in reality it is one of the most simple things to understand. Pick a race that specializes in whatever weapon type, pick the weapon type's governing attribute,then pick the weapon. Now in no way shape or form am I saying the combat system shouldn't be updated , however I am saying that it's not bad but rather you're used to skyrim and oblivion who got rid of this as the series got older so now obviously it's gonna be outdated and labeled "Bad" because people aren't used to the dice roll mechanic . People make It so much more than it actually is and straight up give up on the masterpiece and that is ridiculous.

    I sincerely think that many of the "Oh it just so happens that your player character in the previous game isn't here right now" can be avoided if Bethesda chooses to do what Dragon Age did, which is to save the looks of your previous character and its choices, and make a copy similar to that previous character. Like Race, Gender, Looks, Equipment, Proficient Skills.
    That way things like meeting your previous character wouldn't be impossible.
