Omar is playing the guitar as if he were playing something so simple... he makes it look so easy hahaha what a great human being and what a great band...
Nah this song suffered with Pridgen. Philo is fantastic. They’re my hero, honestly. The most suitable drummer for their first three albums not named Jon. Put some respect on their name! The thing with this performance that’s causing you to believe that is because the switch into the Jam was arranged to be quiet until the climax after Cedric’s final vocal. That was a bad choice IMO. But that’s an arrangement issue not a drums issue. the drums were fantastic.
1. it's been 10 years. They were a little rusty, but improved greatly as the tour went on 2. You're watching a smartphone recording. It's gonna sound like shit compared to all the professionally recorded stuff from 2003-2012, heck even the bootlegs from back then usually had board sound or at least were recorded on a dedicated camera
if you were expecting 50 year olds to perform exactly how they did when they were in their 20s then your mind is fucking warped an you need to touch grass
@@oui2611 im not asking them to jump around or anything. if you think this is great then good for you but i know what these songs felt like before and your mind would have to be fucking warped to be satisfied with this. and i love the new album by the way, im not one of those kind of haters, this is my fav band. i would have liked to hear them perform just the new material rather than try to resurrect the old stuff and have it fall short. this is just an honest opinion.

This crowd was lucky to see this live, since they dropped this song for the rest of the tour
Loving Cedric’s modifications to the chorus melody
One of my all-time favourites. I hope they bring it back for the UK tour
I hope they bring this song back on the next tour, so good to see this live after 12 years!
Wish they played this in Michigan. Love the Volta all the way. Thank the rock gods. ❤😂🎉😢😮😅😊
DIOS
It sucks they dropped this piece
Incredible song and performance. Wish they'd bust this one back out.
Cedric’s voice is good I think what is bad is the drums. Pridgen filled this song like no other.
Not like Jon T. But a Philo did great
The drums on this version are great. What are you talking about?

Its so hard for me to listen watch the mars volta without thomas pridgen on drums. Its so hard
My all time favorite is blake Fleming and jon theodore
Cedric has no power behind his voice anymore.
He’s 48 years old. Educate yourself on the aging process so you don’t stupid.
prob just worn TF out and lack of practice
He actually had more power in his voice for these shows than when I saw him in 2016 with Antemasque and 2018 with At the drive in
@@angelgarcie I agree with that 1 100. He can hit that Cygnus breakdown at the end pretty well. Overall still.enjoy the comeback

this is castrated mars volta, no energy, disappointing
