The warp room's design reminds me of the ones from Crash Bash because it has a hole in the centre and you simply navigate around the edge of that. Unlike in Crash 2 and 3 where you can fully cross the floor.
I really love the fact that this is basically a Crash 1 and 2 hybrid. Its unique and it works. Astound The Skunk surprised me. I always wanted that level to be playable. I feel like that Astound The Skunk, was meant to be a "Level 0" and intro level if you will. Why?! Because if you pay attention, you can see the "N.sanity beach-like" portion of the level where you are almost at the bottom of the level to the left. (just without the beach) I would love a tutorial level akin to what you normally see in games. It may perhaps be scrapped, due to difficulty and maybe some irregularities that they couldnt fix, like walking in the background and death planes. Its a shame. N.sane Trilogy had the ability to put these into the game, and never done it. Crash 1 mod with added levels on the map would be one heck of a treat.
Oh this looks so promising I would definitely play the hell out of this I hope they add the little shadow that's always present underneath Crash so that you don't miss jumps

In a way, it’s a good thing that they just released it - less chance of a C&D. But now they can get some feedback and continue to work on it (if they want to).
13:00 - OMG! This is an unused scrapped super early on concept for a level that DOES exist I believe in the prototype version of Crash 1. All it was just Black screen with untextured grey slopes and spheres with those orange launchpad plants. Its great to see a reimagining of what it could have been. EDIT: What im disappointed about is that in the "Jungle Boulders" level, they didnt make an UNUSED track play in that level also by the same name. Seems like a misopportunity. Unless, I didnt heard it properly.
@11:25 Also it's funny even though those spinning discs feel unfair and are asking too much of the player, you never got clipped by one lmao. Having so many of them in the level really hurt the flow though. Having just that single spinning disc tunnel like halfway or at the end of the level would work so much better as both a breather (from platforming) AND stressful timing area (for finale before hitting a checkpoint/end of level). @16:00 lmao
holy crap, watered down is a level I have literally dreamed about! I would love to see a level where Uka Uka chases you through an underwater level like this.

As for the Jungle Boulders level, it's a good thing that they feel like DK barrels... because that's the direct inspiration for this level! Much like Astound the Skunk, this was a level concept for Crash 1 that didn't make the cut, and in the files, Naughty Dog literally referred to this as the DK Boulders level, or something around those lines.

I'll be honest, the movement is a little janky and i don't know how else to describe it but its like the levels move with the character. Edit: on a second look I think the "level moves" thing was just the camera lagging behind near the start of the first level
To be honest, I'm almost jealous because I'm developing a crash fan game myself and mine doesn't look anywhere near as good as that or back in time ^^ it's really amazing what's available today

@@terrygames8409 i see, that the people have all assets implement correctly and all of them looks very accurate. what i have seen here, is nearby a perfect remade of them :D all textures, shings, physics and animations looks like the orginal😊

It's better for a fangame to be under the radar until it's ready. Because, you know, the copyright holders aren't usually too happy about them.

It's like Crash Bandicoot was still developed by Naughty Dog after Team Racing, and then decided to combine One and Two with a hint of three.

Yeah, there’s definitely bank that they can work on, no doubt. The camera has other issues as well but they’re seemingly at random.
