Everyone is talking about 'Yingluo' and 'Fuheng', but I'm amazed at the opening slide...it is beautiful- showing the different dishes like that. Most dramas show some scenes from the drama, so this is unique.
This production must be very expensive to produce. This 1st episode had so many actresses/actors from the royals, ministers, the kitchen people, the soldiers, the food and its ingredients, and the settings. I salute the director for taking this project. Amazing. 🤩
I got super excited seeing all the food being prepared and proudly brag about having had the opportunity to taste many of those dishes when I've visited China before the pandemic :D so proud of my birth country's food culture. Also loving the Yanxi Cast reunion!

there is a lot more to be proud of when it comes to China! Except the Language! I am sorry but to my ignorant western ears, Chinese sounds as if someone would smash some dishes on the ground. I'm really liking the feel of this drama so far. The introduction of characters is very interesting because you get to see how they deal with different situations that arise. The crown prince looks like the comic relief of the show. He doesn't seem very smart at all. He does seem to be compassionate whereas his wife seems to be a tyrant. I'm looking forward to seeing how this drama unfolds.

I'm back from watching Yanxi Palace. I cried for YingLuo and Fucheng lost love. I'm taking this drama as their after life love promise. I used 2days to watch the whole 70 episodes. Did not miss one action or emotions. You writers better not disappoint us . ☑️❤️🙏 This Royal Feast, my love for Xu Kai and the scene on the road has gotten me hooked already. You go our elegant King to be!☑️👏💪
This drama will be our healing balm after SOYP. It's going to be a great one. Costumes, aesthetics, music, actors plus the food of course are 10/10. It reminds of the other cdrama 'Ming Dynasty', it's very pleasing to the eye and some of the characters subtly share similar personalities. The CP's position is so shaky to me, he is just getting by through his son's ability.
The feast was so intense that I was sweating for them. The emperor is quite moody. He was eating, enjoying himself while everybody was suffering on their knees. 😅
Happy to see Xu Kai again! Finally he's an emperor! :) I was not a fan of Yangsi palace, Rui's love was a much better story about that period, but Xu Kai made such a difference, I watched all his scenes and was shocked to learn it was one of his first acting jobs, he was so good! Since then he gifted us with such versatile characters and proved to be one of, if not the best actor of his generation. It's not just his good looks, I haven't seen anyone among his peers who can do both drama and comedy so well and switch from one to another in a moment. He delivers emotions in such delicate yet powerful way, always makes audience root for his characters, impossible not to love and support. Also this dorama is a fantastic production, so beautifully shot. Glad to see many familiar faces, especially brother Song from the Military academy. Can't wait to see the rest of the show, please post with eng subs asap!

I like S Oy Yangxi Palace better than Ruyi's Love in Palace only because the heroine didn't lose so much... the Yangxi story was crafted to relieve the viewer of so much disappointment of real life. Ruyi was superb in so many ways but the reality of her story was too much to deal with for me.
That's right. You "haven't seen anyone.." Check out Xiao Zhan.. he is better I think in terms of talent to do drama, comedy and more. Xu Kai still has that baby face "the laughing buddha" kind so he's not so versatile in serious dramas.. I can't take him in serious roles seriously like he's always burst out laughing.

Absolutely amazing show from beginning to end. The set, the costumes, the direction, the acting, all superb and gripping from one moment to the next. The amount of webs that were spun between characters was just the right amount to get across how convoluted and corrupt the politics even just within the palace could be without bogging the viewer down with too much information. It really was delivered step by step to allow it to sink in, yet it still retained a sense of urgency. Greatly appreciated since many shows with multiple characters and subplots can get too confusing and too much hassle to keep track of. Overall I highly, highly recommend this show. I was not prepared for it to end as soon as it did and could watch another 40 episodes. That said, I can't say I would want a 2nd season because this ended perfectly. All the stories were wrapped up, everything had a satisfying (even if sad) ending. It was very well handled. Unlike most shows, the wrap up at the end was paced extremely well. It wasn't rushed, it remained potent and just as dramatic as all episodes leading up to it. Again, in many dramas, the wrap up feels almost messy, just a quick closure to the main focus, which was the middle-plot drama. I've been left unsatisfied by endings many times, but not this one. This was perfect. Again, the casting, the directing, everything about this was superb.
Watching it for the 2nd time. First time was because I'm a super huge fan of Yanxi palace and missed my gir Yingluo, imperial consort Wei.. or was concubine. Not sure..Now because it is worth rewatching. I finished rewatching yanxi palace yesterday probably for the 6th time..❤❤❤

Xu Khai has certainly grown a lot as an actor. I've only seen him in Yanxi Palace. I've watched Wu Jinyan a couple of times. She's different here. I'm very pleasantly surprised. She too has continuously improved her skills.
He has different series out including modern drama. Just type in his name sure they will come up. Not so good at remembering all the names of dramas 😕 🙃 have too much stuck in my head.

May the much desired reunion takes place in this drama for reincarnation (made up) of Fuheng and Ying lou. The wound of Yanxi Palace is too much that it still hurts when i remember Fuheng. Hope i can enjoy their love story here.
wonderful drama, very historical and I appreciate the directors keeping it very rated G and beautiful. the costumes reflect the time era. The quality is excellent, and the actors very well chosen. I am truly impressed and my hopes this becomes a global academy award winner. Its impressive that the directors have made the effort to keep it original and pure in its presentation and they appreciate their history and protect it. my blessings to the directors for you are the ones who made this happen.

Happy to see Xu Kai again! Finally he's an emperor! :) I was not a fan of Yangsi palace, Rui's love was a much better story about that period, but Xu Kai made such a difference, I watched all his scenes and was shocked to learn it was one of his first acting jobs, he was so good! Since then he gifted us with such versatile characters and proved to be one of, if not the best actor of his generation. It's not just his good looks, I haven't seen anyone among his peers who can do both drama and comedy so well and switch from one to another in a moment. He delivers emotions in such delicate yet powerful way, always makes audience root for his characters, impossible not to love and support. Also this dorama is a fantastic production, so beautifully shot. Glad to see many familiar faces, especially brother Song from the Military academy. Can't wait to see the rest of the show, please post with eng subs asap!

I like S Oy Yangxi Palace better than Ruyi's Love in Palace only because the heroine didn't lose so much... the Yangxi story was crafted to relieve the viewer of so much disappointment of real life. Ruyi was superb in so many ways but the reality of her story was too much to deal with for me.

That's right. You "haven't seen anyone.." Check out Xiao Zhan.. he is better I think in terms of talent to do drama, comedy and more.
Xu Kai still has that baby face "the laughing buddha" kind so he's not so versatile in serious dramas.. I can't take him in serious roles seriously like he's always burst out laughing.

超喜歡他們兩演的古劇，從延禧攻略就愛上了，只可惜尚食感覺省略了些細節，很快就拍完了，希望往後還有更多古劇
廣電局躲一堆滿遺，滿遺在中國政治上被壓制沒得發揮，所以只能躲在廣電局吹廢清戲碼，以前吹清宮劇較沒事，後來太過火被漢人掌權得中共高層電，以前大英雄鄭成功的戲就被找麻煩，主題曲還被拗去吹康麻子，影視公司拍明朝的戲要小心謹慎，山河月明就卡，還被砍得亂七八糟，

Royal Feast is a well-made historical drama. It has to be savoured: enjoyed the intrigue, Ming costumes, food and fine acting. Currently, I am watching it a third time. Look forward to future production with this team.
覺得這齣戲很適合細細品味！回頭再看會發現藏了細節在裡面，而且精緻的服化道真的為這戲加了很多很多分！還有很喜歡謹言演的子衿，無論氣質跟扮相跟瓔珞時期真的是不同層級了！也希望被剪掉的劇情還有機會釋出啊！

Absolutely amazing show from beginning to end. The set, the costumes, the direction, the acting, all superb and gripping from one moment to the next. The amount of webs that were spun between characters was just the right amount to get across how convoluted and corrupt the politics even just within the palace could be without bogging the viewer down with too much information. It really was delivered step by step to allow it to sink in, yet it still retained a sense of urgency. Greatly appreciated since many shows with multiple characters and subplots can get too confusing and too much hassle to keep track of.
Overall I highly, highly recommend this show. I was not prepared for it to end as soon as it did and could watch another 40 episodes. That said, I can't say I would want a 2nd season because this ended perfectly. All the stories were wrapped up, everything had a satisfying (even if sad) ending. It was very well handled.
Unlike most shows, the wrap up at the end was paced extremely well. It wasn't rushed, it remained potent and just as dramatic as all episodes leading up to it. Again, in many dramas, the wrap up feels almost messy, just a quick closure to the main focus, which was the middle-plot drama. I've been left unsatisfied by endings many times, but not this one. This was perfect.
Again, the casting, the directing, everything about this was superb.

Watching it for the 2nd time. First time was because I'm a super huge fan of Yanxi palace and missed my gir Yingluo, imperial consort Wei.. or was concubine. Not sure..Now because it is worth rewatching. I finished rewatching yanxi palace yesterday probably for the 6th time..❤❤❤

Xu Khai has certainly grown a lot as an actor. I've only seen him in Yanxi Palace. I've watched Wu Jinyan a couple of times. She's different here. I'm very pleasantly surprised. She too has continuously improved her skills.

May the much desired reunion takes place in this drama for reincarnation (made up) of Fuheng and Ying lou. The wound of Yanxi Palace is too much that it still hurts when i remember Fuheng. Hope i can enjoy their love story here.
