Atta boy Dave, on the Baby Ruth box cars. No train left behind. Did you see the CSX engine plow through a tractor trailer today? I gess they were having a semi left on the track challenge. I guess I don't have to tell you who won that one 😊.
I got my video all shot today and now have to get the editing done. I also had a couple of coupler issues and likewise had to reshoot after finding two more cars for my Sante Fe train. But it was fun and a great way to show off my cars. Hope to get it on line tomorrow. Loved your video!
Hey, Dave, I got the notification that you had uploaded your Holiday Box Car Challenge video and had to stop what I was doing to watch. Man, I loved your intro! After listening to it, I am thinking you need to be designated the official or unofficial "Bill B.'s Holiday Box Car Challenge Historian." Sounds pretty good, don't you think! Thank you, Dave! Man, I sure enjoyed seeing those two trainmasters working together. And seeing that beautiful train of Baby Ruth cars was wonderful too. That little 0-4-0 seemed to be making easy work of it! Well, Dave, once again, you did it and I want to give you a big shout out! Thank you! Bill B.
TWO Trainmasters gettin' it done with 48 boxcars! Impressive! AND a 0-4-0 switcher out for a romp on the mainline with a precious manifest of Baby Ruths! It doesn't get any better now, does it? That new extension looks like it's working out well Dave, thanks for showing it and the trains in action on it!
That is a long train. For years I routinely ran a 35 or so car train pulled by the Trainmaster.but finally shortened it for practical reasons. My favorite boxcar in your consist is the Norge billboard car. I especially like the baby Ruth consist. If I could work up the energy, I would like to run all my shorty boxcars. The challenge is good fun. My only entry a year or so ago was a single boxcar - the Lionel Airex car.
Very nice, Dave! I was checking out some of the Challenge videos and yours came up on my feed. Those double-headed Trainmasters, heading up all of those boxcars, are so cool. The little Pennsy switcher, with all of the Baby Ruth cars and the Pennsy 2457 caboose, is really neat. Anything Pennsy is always a good thing. I'm so passenger train-centric, that I've neglected to buy enough freight cars over the years, for the layout, along with buying about 20 accessories, that I don't really need or use. I managed to get a couple of Challenge videos off, though, that are fairly decent. Either way, yours is a great entry. An excellent video, as always.
Your layout is very quiet. Smooth running train masters too! Wish I had room for one of those monsters! Actually liked the ambience of all the wheels rolling, sounded like a windy day!
12:32 Hey! How's about an "ugly train challenge"? Sorta like an ugly sweater challenge. Run the stuff you forgot you have. Run the stuff that is rare or unusual. Run all the stuff you absolutely hate!
I can't believe it's been two years. I have been watching your videos and listening and learning about fixing up lionel trains 🎉
The happy growl of the Trainmasters is musical!!!!
Most excellent video. Love all the Baby Ruth cars👍. The two Trainmasters, Beautiful.

Loved it! You ran about as many as we did!! Can’t wait to see ya next week on the livestream. Great job; Dave!

I counted 48 and 1 caboose. Nice run!

That one shot of your box car consist was like watching a Lionel horseshoe curve video. Nice.

i loved it, great
I need to get one of those State of Maine boxcars!!
Wow, the pair of old Lionel Train Masters pulls so smooth. Where is the squeaking noise coming from? Sound effects recording?
