- The Prince and Princess of Wales showed off their woodworking skills during a visit to an outdoor school in Hereford. William and Kate joined school children at Madley Primary School’s Forest School, where they watched the youngsters prepare lunch and spoke to teachers. Prince William had a go at whittling a stick before he was joined by Kate to saw a piece of wood together. The royal pair were then impressed with a den built by the children; Kate even climbed inside for a closer inspection. Report by Matt Blair.

Once again, the Prince and Princess of Wales have shown that they don't need fancy clothes, impressive jewelry, or an entourage to set them apart as Royals. Watching them interact with people (especially children and the elderly) you get the sense that they are willing to go beyond the mystique of mere Royalty to interact with others to create an image that inspires, leads and encourages. This ability is not because of WHAT they are...but is rather of WHO they are) Bravo!

Among other things it is good for the children to see the Waleses taking instruction from teachers and following procedures. And seeing them working in tandem to get something accomplished. These are all good life lessons for them to be observing.

What a wonderful school, fantastic to get children out into the fresh air learning different skills that will expand their knowledge and experience preparing them for future life and adventures.I would have loved to have gone here, thank you to the Prince and Princess of Wales for highlighting this fabulous school.

I love how the Princess asks the children whether being outside helps them focus when in school - it shows that she really understands the benefits of spending time in nature! I wish more schools would understand these benefits and provide more regular time for children to get outside, connecting with nature!
