He's getting confused with his cousin Dougies last fight. It went on for 67 hours and Dougie got through 64 pairs of Matalan training shoes before shaking hands and calling it a draw. Dougie is well known for pushing towards a handshake and a draw when he knows he's in a desperate situation and staring at a defeat. And that's just when he's called upon to see fair play...🤔? 😎😉🤣👍
As a former amateur myself I've never heard of anyone with a record like that and not knowing in Britain, not even kids from my local gym "birtley abc" have records like that and we had about 8 kids on gb squad!

I commented on Boxing Enquirer about the same thing after hearing DLW utter those whoppers. He is my son, Paul's age. I was a boxing coach/trainer for a good few years around his amateur career and have never heard of DLW at all. We travelled all over the country with Paul and many other boxers, winning many titles, from local, regional and National. Paul and many other great lads never had that record. Some were great, but It's rare to get such a high win, lose, ratio. I know a few though. In my opinion, DLW might be able to roll around, have a fist fight for a few minutes and maybe has learned a few basics, but to be honest millions can do that. What I see is a wannabe gangster who is a big fish in a very small pond and now believes his own hype. He's a legend in his own mind and as much as i can't abide DH, he will steamroller DLW. DLW has started something he will be very sorry about, whether the fight happens or not.

I was involved in boxing for most of my childhood,my old man used to spar with a high level pro boxer and I used to go watch him, then he took up coaching and I was around boxing all over the country and saw 100s of amatuer fights including a couple of ABA finals at Birmingham where my dad was a corner man a couple of times. And I can agree with you that a record like that is not impossible but very unlikely as back then a lot of the times lads would lose fights they should of won and vice versa due to politics and favouring a certain club or coach, occasionally just from bad refereeing or just not being fully prepared for a fight and had an 'off night'. I'm not saying he is lying about this but I find it difficult to believe as it isn't even always down to ability and would therefore would of needed to be an exceptional boxer(which he may of been) but also very lucky in oppenents, judges, refs and been on form for 67 fights.

I had seven amateur fights won five I won six in my eyes they were very hard to win if you fought the local up and coming boy. Amateur fights were fixed in a lot of them point I’m making is to get to 20 you fight for British title and everyone would no who you were 67 fights 64 wins your a pro and that’s an outstanding record as good as any pro fighting now

i was 35-7 in the amateurs, i was scottish champion twice and got silver in the 4 nations. when your fighting 69 times as dean said you'd be fighting in national championships or district/county championships. theres no way you can have 69 fights in hotel shows that provide boxing and a meal etc. most your fights add up from fighting 2/3 times a day in competitions. so im in the same boat as you Danny. maybe he was talking about 69-4 in K1? mma? kickboxing and boxing? who knows... but no way he coulda had that record in boxing without fighting in championships etc
also side note though, when you do step up in competition fighting other nations or matched with good fighters or in finals of district championships. your record will get worse. so if he somehow did have that record fighting on shows like hotel shows vs novice fighters that would make sense for the record being 69/4 but i still doubt it

I went to school with Simon vallily known him from 9yr old from playing football in our local area and his record wasn’t anything like 67/3 and Simon started in the amateurs after Middlesbrough fc released him aged 12-13yr old 🤷🏽♂️
