That thing is a work of art.... Wow... It's gorgeous!!! BTW... Happy 40th Steve... Sretan rodendan, Sve Najbolje! Well, with, watching both power systems... I prefer electric now, as 30+ years in nitro, gets old... Gear mesh is a great noise when you have it close..... It's so much easier now.. and much more powerful too. Side note: surprising to see in 30 odd years RC buggy design hasn't changed much.. Got a 1993 GV Warrior that I raced 93-95 and was solid as hell.... Diffs were Lockable by switching two gears inside the diffs and bam... Spool action! I soooo love RC... Cheers gents Love the Channel!
THEY SURE R BEAUTIFUL!! I LOVE ALUMINUM JUS AS MUCH AS THE NEXT PERSON BUT IT DOESN'T HAV THE DURABILITY THAT GOOD PLASTIC DOES. I'D HAVE ALUMINUM EVERYTHING IF I COULD!!! AWESOME VIDEO. THANKS!
What makes good plastics more durable is their ability to spring back after flexing. On smaller models aluminum tends to bend, but when you get into the bigger stuff aluminum parts get to the point where they're thick enough to resist bending a lot better.
The Modified RC centre diff carrier has those guides for the rotors along with the Triton RC one check out AXIS-RC Race Pace brake lit I run their system on my 5ive-T best brakes ever without exception hoping to get them for my two Krakens not sure they will make them so looking to try to mount them from the LOSI 5ive-T kit. Love the MCD's raced a early MCD 4x4 Chevy Baja 1000 Trophy Truck it was the best Short Course out there, I even ran it on road in the Outlaw class with slicks or wets did well with it but front drive shafts were weak so often ended racing three wheel drive often. Watching this is making me want to buy and race one again, if I was a neighbour I would be there living it large looking forward to the next installment.
I use the MIP/MOD Brakes and only found on the V1.0 and V2.0 Modified RC towers only work for the stock break setups which in comparison lack the stopping power of the TLR Brakes. In the V2.0 set up they don’t have the predrilled holes for the guide but atm the MIP brakes are working perfect 👌 cheers bro I appreciate your comments and tips and tricks 👊 keep em coming 🤘
Dude. These big cars are super nice. The Fijon isn't too bad either ;) But that MCD is beautifully built. When's that new logo coming mate? I dig the NFG RC stuff.
The front of the Rear could be metal cause the planetary those things cause more heat so the metal will help pull the heat from there and spread it out.
Now i didn't think 10k anything rc is worth it but it's just my opinion this buggy is worth every friggen cent and i do enjoy ya vids guys even with those crazy fast ass boats but anyway I will invest in one of these and do they make a truggy?
Hey Brian, we cover all budgets and makes. I love 1/5th scale and obsessed with Racing, unfortunately MCD don’t make a Truggy in the 1/5th platform but in saying that slapping wider wheels (Proline MX43 badlands/trenchers) will give you that Truggy look with the RR5 Buggy 😬🤷♂️
MCD us awesome, i have one for over 10 years now and with a zenoha engine modded with pico kill switch , 990 walbro carby, i run all hitec digital radio and receiver and hitec metal gear servos, tuned pipe wrapped in fiberglass heat wrap, outerwear covers on upgraded filter and pull start, and more - to much to mention - in my honest opinion LOSI is CRAP compared to MCD - anything made in eastanbul Germany cant be beaten 👍

That thing is massive! Love it!
OK so the next video Steve get XR5 max Ultimate Then you have three of the four cars in all of the upgrade levels 👍🏻
Hold my beer 😉
Three of the eight, actually. MCD technically makes two cars in each class, one short wheelbase, one long.

Amazing vid, all those rigs are top notch
Cheers
Where can you buy McD kits and how much for the race team buggy kit
Awesome rig, you guys are great too 👍🏾👍🏾
Cheers man
Awesome stuff!!!
Cheers man
Please do a first start video on the monster car please
We’ve been there, done that. Breaking in an engine is boring RUclips content but once it’s broken in then we’ll get some footage 👍
Wow I'm impressed👍👍👍✌
There's a new character!
The video keeps me surprised. Wonderful R/C, really cool. 👍🏻😀👊
Cheers man
What's the go yours comes with a barracuda pipe and on MCD Australia website pipe is not included????
I can confirm the FTR version comes with the Barracuda pipe
I like seeing them sideshow boxes in the background. What pieces do you have?
Lucre, chime in 😊 He has heeeeeaps
@@RCTanksTrucks247 I also have a problem
Mainly Prime1Studios Arkham Knight series and Transformers Michael Bay movie era, alot of Hot Toys and ThreeZero especially Marvel
@@michaellucre8249 nice I have prime 1 venom, my favorite piece
Where and how much can I get one of those buggy with all the upgrades on it what they called 😮😮😮
MCD Racing in Europe, Cardinal Racing in Canada & America, MCD Racing Australia 🇦🇺 is where we get ours 👊
They look cool but a pita to repair and take a part compared to a losi platform for example, it all looks very stuffed
Actually you might find this a bit surprising. Scroll down and you’ll find some answers to your comment 👍www.mcdracing.com/car_RR5MaxFTR.php

Think I might have to get the pro
Awesome car
Very review Steve on that absolutely beautiful Buggy 😱🥰 awesome video bro 👍😎👍🇦🇺😊🇬🇧👍
Cheers bro
the wg rr5 xr5 and xs5 are all identical,, thew only diifference is the shock towers shocks and body mounts, the price of upgrades is outrageous
Not sure. But I believe there is a few more things
hello good job, very nice vidéo. Have a good day 👍👍
TLR ftw!!@@ 🧏♂️🙅♂️
😂😉😘
😂😂😂 55k later lol I believe it
Hi guys, when are we actually going to see these big beasts race in anger on the race tracks, hopefully not all show and no go. Nice video. 😎👍👍👍🇬🇧🏍
Ouchie, not everything makes it on the channel. But yes we will battle it out on the track, if it’s filmed then that’s a bonus
Yeah hopefully. Time poor

Awesome brother. Thanks for the info
RC Tanks & Trucks 24/7 that's my honest opinion
I've gotta get one and swap the motor out for a mahoosive electric set up!
Gorgeous??, sorry but that shell makes it look like a scaled up 3 yr old's toy
🙃🤣✌
