this line kind of speaks to me. kind of like i can relate, but also like i cant because im too young to feel this way.
i personally like to believe this line means something along the lines of:
if you leave your problems and troubles to grow and grow and grow, to become more serious, troublesome or just flat-out unfixable, you start to feel the bear weight of your decision to turn a blind eye and want to blame someone for it, or go to someone for comfort but you dont know who/cant.
so then, in desperation, you throw it on a higher entity than you. you want to believe someone above you is responsible for your actions or your problems, so you blame it on them.
and im talking a last-minute turn to this supposed higher entity. you could have been raised in a religious household, or not, but either way, you decide, 'hey, if this entity *does* exist, it's their fault. i have no responsibility for this. they've abandoned me and so now these are your problems, go fix them for me.'
and ive felt like this before.
i am in no way trying to hate on or bash religious people in this comment. this is just my connection with this song. i may not be religious, but i support all you religious people out there (so long as you arent fucking jerks)! i wish you all good religious people out there a pleasant day/night/time! :)
