Ah I see. In fairness taunts in DMC 5 sometimes help gameplay wise now (Grant a rev charge, full charge bullets etc.), so a comparison can still be drawn. Albeit its a stretch.
It is. I have spent over 6 hours fighting this boss, and I have recorded the fights and studied the boss and her moves for a long time. It is masterfully designed.
@@bnhearyza4767 If we're talking the normal Mirror Aqua Boss, sure. It is masterfully designed. But if we're talking Secret Boss Mirror Aqua, no. It isn't. A masterfully designed boss is something that is challenging, yet, the average player would be able to find the patterns and how to counter after just a couple times of death. I.E: Sephiroth from KH2, or really, ANY of the Bosses from KH2, including the Lingering Will. This boss is well designed, but Masterfully? Far from it.
@@OwNAvenged Um, no. The average player would never be able to handle Zodiac Phantom at all. The average "hardcore" player would be far more appropriate. Next, this is a SUPERBOSS. This is not a storyline fight. It's not meant to be a walk in a park. It's not meant for people to be able to beat within a few attempts (unless you're playing on Beginner/Standard) Next, your statement is far too simple and very flawed. "This superboss that is meant to be the hardest challenge in the entire game is bad because the average player can't find ways to counter her after a few deaths." To me, that is ridiculous. No. No it isn't. I'm doing a Level 1 CM playthrough in KH2, and I cannot for the life of me, figure out Zexion. I must've died 40 times to him and I still don't understand him much. Aqua vs. Phantom Aqua. The Master vs. The Fallen Angel. Also i really do spot similarities between this game and Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain.
Is that even possible? Enemies don't stagger or anything. And the skills don't really have many functions outside of pure damage. I mean, all it would involve is people spamming skills and switching characters. It might look cool but it only involves button mashing that a 5 year old could accomplish. But hey, I'd love to be proven wrong. :3
Boss AI seems solid and combat and movement looks less clunky than BBS, if this is the direction they’re going then 3 may just be a good game afterall.
I dont think i did this boss :S Can you tell what shes going to do via reaction? Or is this all practice and memorisation? I cant quite tell in the video
Dane Parnell it’s both. Similar to linger will in KH2 or other bosses in that game. She has sets of attack patterns. Which set she uses in any instance is random, but the patterns once she enters the set is the deterministic. Usually each set has a super easy to react opening move so you can tell which set she’s using without taking a hit. It also uses color and audio cues that are universal in the game to help you react.
Dane Parnell during any phase she has a limited moveset, and acting way forces her to do “x” attack, but she does pick randomly from her moveset and reaction does play into it; i beat her on proud at lv80~ and she doesn’t seem to have any fewer moves
@@millionshadesofdarkness2165 Oh really? Never played this game, only played KH2. But my opinion remains unchainged. Reflect is the best in these games x)
Playing 0.2 and doing this boss, I was hopeful for KH3 to have rewarding boss fights and bosses that make you think a little. Then Anti-Aqua was not even a challenge. DMC5 please save me.
