Hi there, is it possible to use this as a standalone bluetooth speaker? Every time I want to play audio out of it... it goes to some casting setting.

Sure. On the speaker, do an Ok Google and ask it to 'Turn on Bluetooth'. It will enter the pairing mode. Then, go to your phone's Bluetooth settings and pair with the speaker.
