Iam using mi smart speaker about 1 month .No such issues but audio quality is less.if you can increase your audio quality by reducing bass in Google home. Also really nice comparison.
Good video mate. I went for the nest because of the clarity and less distortion. I agree with you , by the youtube videos theres a bit of "loose distorion" inside the Xiaomi. Cheers
What are your requirements? The new IR control speaker is smaller. Sound quality when tweaked is better on Nest mini. Also Nest Mini can be wall mounted. Rest is design preference
@@TechThatOut It will be my first ever smart speaker so I don't have an specific requirements, keeping the IR blaster thing aside, which one is better overall? Since google nest is currently available for 3999 while the Xiaomi is available for 2249, so it's almost double the price, so if I buy the nest mini, will it be worth paying double the price of Xiaomi??
Can google duo calling work on Mi Smart Speaker? Like calling from Mi speaker to a phone and then when being outside calling back Mi smart Spaker like a landline phone? Please try and tell..
You can make duo calls if you connect with that service during set-up or enable it later. Currently Google allows household members as well. I am not totally sure if you can drop-in on the speaker when outside though. Don't think that's possible
Depends on your audio preferences. The volume and bass is higher on Mi Smart Speaker. But clarity is way better on Nest Mini with better seperation and no distortion at all. So decide based on your room size. In a 10*10 sq. ft room, the Nest Mini at 80% volume is adequate in my experience.
I have the both. I think the pair of the Google Nest Mini is the best option. Because to listen music in stereo is better than just mono. I put the Google and the Xiaomi both in stereo, and the improvement of the sound is big, even if both has different flavours, more or less equalized. Although the Xiaomi has a better bass (Google has higher trebles, but in the top tend to introduce some distortion), the difference isn't enormous. This recommendation is just for little rooms, otherwise, the stereo lose its effect. You know, this are non powerful speakers and if you turn up the volume level so much it could increase the distortion. But both has a nice sound for it's price. Note: if the room is bigger, I think I would prefer the single Xiaomi, because it fill better the space.

Can you tell me which one to buy - New xiaomi smart speaker with IR control or the Google nest mini?

I'd pick the Nest Mini. Often goes under 3k. So keep an eye out for that if IR functionality is not important

Back Ground Story please?
Great video bro! The camera is struggling to focus between your face and your bun though... 😅❤️
Sorry about that! Might take some time to get used to the new camera.
Production Quality game on 🔥.
Btw. I have the Lenovo Smart Clock essential. It's really good with google assistant stuff.
Thanks!
Yes, I liked it as well, but I have enough displays to act as clocks. Also the speaker quality was my personal priority.
@@TechThatOut I have pretty good speakers in my setup, I just needed a smart one. 😬😬

Getting the Mi Smart Speaker for 999. Should I go for it or spend extra for the nest mini?

Good video brother

I got it for 500 rupees...
1 Xiaomi smart speaker for $ 90 or 2 Google nest mini (paired) for $ 78 for a living room, which is the best choice?

@@gbil393 I want to buy the Xiaomi one. but I have a very large room. I'm afraid the Xiaomi microphone won't do well.
