I observed the remarkable unity among Georgians during my travels. While on a small van ride with people of different nationalities from Batumi to Mestia, we encountered a situation that showcased this camaraderie. As we approached Mestia on a mountainous road, we noticed a car that had skidded into a ditch. Despite the relatively quiet road, everyone, including our driver, stopped to lend a hand. We remained there for about half an hour until our driver felt everything was under control. During the journey, it became clear that our driver was well-acquainted with many people on the road. Whenever an oncoming car passed, he would greet them with gestures of recognition and warmth.
