The story I heard was UPRR was none to pleased that one of its most prized locomotives (DD40X) is shown being operated so, er, in a unorthodox manner. So the video disappears eventually when someone posts it.

Yeah that's valid, some rail tycoon out there might be like.. "Is that Mike Watt in a DD40X? Well I was going to buy a bunch of DD40X for my rail company but now I want nothing to do with UPRR."

Being that almost all of the DDA40X locos still in existence are now in museums, and Union Pacific has one still in their possession as an (rarely) operating museum piece, it's probable that by now they're not too concerned. I think the real loco used for the cab scenes was preserved itself at the time the video was filmed!
I should also point out that the DDA40X locomotives were essentially custom produced by Electro-Motive Division (of GM) for Union Pacific, and few if any other railroads would have been willing if able to operate such a massive locomotive on their routes. UP had a preference for such massive power over the years that no other railroad ever quite matched. See UP's 9000-class 4-12-2s and 4000-class 'Big Boys' for the steam era, and also see the EMD DD35, GE U50 and U50C, and ALCo C-855 for the diesel era. All unique to UP (with the exception of 3 U50 and 3 DD35B units to Southern Pacific, who wasn't particularly impressed)
