Thank you for the tasteful presentation of my home country in its historical and cultural context and thank you for the genuine love and appreciation. What a nice, intelligent British couple
Incredible Rila monastery.Just enjoyed watching the beautiful view ...Love the Bulgarian food ❤️😘😘😍😍😍 Awaiting more Bulgarian adventure videos.Have a wonderful weekend
The easiest way to spot a cultured and well educated person is when you see them keeping their voice down in the monastery grounds. There is no actual restriction to it but it just feels right. Thank you for being so respectful!
I hope you are coming back to Bulgaria, and next time you should visit central Bulgaria - town of Gabrovo, Etara, Sokolski monestry and many others. The views there are stunning! You are welcome to have a dinner at my house with our family!
I will be in Rila in September. I had wondered why the Monastery was given so high a rating. Your photography of the frescos made me understand why. Beautiful!
Your videos have inspired me to visit locations/countries I never thought about visiting. My husband and I love to see ancient cathedrals, beautiful architecture and submerse ourselves in the culture of the country. So I have been taking notes from your videos on places to visit. Keep inspiring 👍
Thank you for the tasteful presentation of my beautiful country in it’s historical and cultural context. And thank you for the appreciation. What a nice, intelligent British couple 🙋🏻♀️
I’m really enjoying your Balkan series, from Albania to North Macedonia to Serbia and now Bulgaria. This was the last European trip we did back in 2019 before covid hit. Seeing these places again makes me miss travelling even more! Sending love from Manila ♥️
It's nice to see how much fun you get in my country! :) There is a lot more places to visit and i hope you will get enough time for it :) Some tips : Buzludzha ( the giant communist UFO ) Monument of freedom Shipka, as you mention RIla seven lakes, from cities Plovdiv, Veliko Tarnovo and Varna definitely will catch your eye. As food lover you can try to drink boza with banitza, it's а very popular in Bulgaria :) Enjoy the rest of your holiday !
I love the way you love my country. Thank you so much! You should be sponsored by bulgarian beer brands! I have a question : how did you do the drone recordings?
Great videos ! I would recomend you also to visit the beautiful towns of Svishtov, Ruse, Silistra , Tutrakan all of them situated on the river Danube !
@@KanKubrat1 Are you sure? I am Bulgarian from Shumen and you write here miracles about Tutrakan, Silistra and Svishtov... Shumen has more to show than these 3 cityes.

Hi guys! First off, thank you for your positive attitude, cause even if you're not keen on everything you see, you seem to be, and you seem to appreciate Bulgaria and the things you got to experience here. On the same note, thank you for sporting long trousers when visiting the monastery. I might not be necessary overly religious but seeing tourists in shorts and tank tops enter a church makes me cringe nonetheless. So yep, thank you for being as considerate, much appreciated.
Tbf, one should always wear long sleeves too even if that rule isn't actually enforced or taught much (+ headcovering for women and no hats or such on men)
Can I just... recomend trying that banitsa with boza. It’s the best combo ever. Yoghurt is our National drink, boza is our 2nd national drink.... rakia is our 3rd national drink.......conclusion:we like drinks
I don’t think the monks are forbidden from drinking alcohol unless they are fasting.... in general in christianity it’s not really an issue ( the whole turning water into wine bit serves as presedent) That’s why you have so many abbey beers as well in Europe.... monks used to make them. .... Tough I think in Bulgaria the monks make Rakia
try karmare or kosmos as well, simillar price range i think to moma, cosmos have like molecular gastronomy variations of Bulgarian food I think and try tripe soup at Raketa Rakia Bar, it's the best tripe in town probably, also they are owned by the people who own Kosmos and its more in the mid-range price point. Still Karmare and Kosmos aren't very expensive and are both reaaaaaaaaaally worth a video
So.... you mist your chance.... but if you ever find yourselves in the bulgarian mountains again.... and in the vicinity of a river... ask for baked pasturva.... its a river fish, and it’s just best thing ever. Bit of lemon... look out for the bones... but honestly it’s on par with salmon.
Dear foreigners, welcome to Bulgaria, the most beautiful country in Europe ... Go around it all, go to all the amazing places in Bulgaria, and you will understand that there is no more beautiful and amazing nature than ours anywhere in Europe ... @@dabbleandtravel Well, I live in Sofia for my entire life and I have never heard a tour company which uses a taxi to drive around the country.Actually when I search about it in internet it turns around that there is indeed this kinda trip but when I look at the prices - wow..its beyond expensive, at least for me tho..I hope u did enjoy it :)
I've been there 4 years ago, honestly I expected the monastery to be bigger but I loved it anyway. I also visited the boyana's church the same day when we left the monastery. What a memorable experience.
Beautiful! I've been there like 20 years ago. Must visit again. Love from Belgrad

That is definitely a hard one and dependent on what you prefer, we loved the traditional serbian food!
