Great guy. Well deserved win.
He stole the game from Felix 😂 so yea I don’t think so
Sportsmanship means a lot more when the score is THAT close!
nice one Jack
No hesitation, no expectation to give a first - this is what a sportsman looks like
Felix Auger Aliassiame watching this like 💀🗿
🙄
It proves that Jack really didn't know
@@eliasabboud6552idk, there is the case that a point is much more valuable than a first serve
@@eliasabboud6552you obviously don’t play tennis
Iykyk
And draper still won that point, and then the match 😆
if this was a match point in a tight match it would take more to give a new try
It was though. @@ajkorras
@@ajkorras yea, third set 5-6 15-0 on serve....................................... that is about as close as it gets buddy
Didn't know that Chardy took over as a chair umpire 😂
Ah ah Jérémy has juste laugh when he Saw the ball's mark ! 40 cm
Hahahaah really :)
Wait, that's not denis villeneuve ?
@@ares1647 you are very smart
No he doesnt look like chardy at all
I love these moments in tennis ❤
Same
I hope big Kokk acknowledged this
Of course he did
@@xyriumelementdid he?
@@xyriumelement Of course he will!
@@samashfield64 he did
Big kok😂
Thank you at least
Is the umpire the same that was hit by Shapovalov in the Davis Cup some years ago? I'm not sure. If he really is, it's great to see him fully recovered.
The chair umpire that Shapo hit was Arnaud Gabas. He’s been back in the chair for a couple of years now.
Thanks! I didn't know he was back.
YO I forgot all about that, it was CRAZY!
Amazing Jack!
Wow kokk .. you forgot to say something like " Nice Jack, thanks bro "
Maybe cock wanted to maintain his focus and not start to be too much of a fanboy
Draper is a class act. Just think 3.5 yrs ago this guy gassed out at the US open and had one of the most frightening collapses Ive ever seen. I thought he had a heart attack. Now rising in the game like I predicted.
A pitty he didn't give felix the point on his match point. He clearly hit the ball down into the court. He should have given felix the point
no reaction from kokki. this guy is ridiculous lol, at least gives a thumbs up
Ofc he acknowledged it, they just cut it out unfortunately
You're my brother Jack 💪🥹❤️
Draper was saying, "Don't you dare rob me of a good point"
Ump should've called the let, but Jack speaks sportsmanship
It’s all very well saying things are good sportsmanship at 15:15 two games in or during the United Cup or something. THIS is actually the real deal. Something Bopanna would be proud of!
At first i thought the ball was in but the line judge called it out and Jack was being a good sport. Then i watched carefully again, and it shows the ball was actually out. The reason for Jack conceding a first serve was the bang noise just before Kokkinakis served. What a good sport. Nice!!!
Draper is class
In many ways. Even against Kokkinakis, who isnt famous because of his sportmanship, to put it nicely
@@PJArne15 It is not a coincidence that he's mates with Kyrgios. Similar attitudes, though Kyrgios is the much bigger jerk.
@@zweigackroyd7301 I actually like Kyrgios a bit. He is more "you see what you get". Yeah, I know some of his actions were pathetic, but Kokki seems a lot more cocky
@@PJArne15 Can't think of a player more pathetic than Kyrgios. Serious self-loathing going on there, which is presumably why he treats others so poorly.
humble and friendly player... kudos jack🫰
It feels happy to watch sportsmanship acts
He's cool Jack! Needs to rise up the rankings! 💯
I wouldnt want to win the wrong way. It wouldnt sit with my soul. Plus it was far to Thanaki anyways. Draper did the right thing. Awesome guy!
Could have said thank you
Good lad our Jack ❤
Completely unrelated but is the umpire an Adam Driver doppelgänger 😂
Is he the same umpire who got hit on his eye by Shapovalov ?
No. But he's back umpiring as well though
Jack such a great lad giving him first serve well done mate
Gentleman
It's how it should always be! The Americans players are very good with sportsmanship in tennis! NB: Kokkinakis would never do that.
He’s British not American.
Americans like McEnroe and cry baby card carrying coco you mean. Draper is clearly English.
Nooo Thanasi well most powerful Jack
Questo è sport...👍👏👏
He's a good lad!
Nice to see.
Super..Muy bien jugado aplauso👏
Great gesture by Draper!
진정페어플레이~~신사스포츠맞네~~갈수록퇴색되지만~~프로는다르구나
Bravo Jack 👏
How's about a thank you from Kokki...
No, it isn't. Jack has ready in the tiebreak
Great to see someone want to win with integrity. Meanwhile, some of the doubles players I play with will call balls out that are in by half a foot!
Don't you just hate that. I had to stop playing for a while cause the cheating is at an all time high.
@@yezmirsheppard-halika6892 never stop playing, mate. Just play better so those points don’t decide the outcome. Cheaters will cheat and we cannot change their nature.
😇 ✨️💫✨️
Just get rid of lines men on clay too. They just keep screwing up. What’s the hesitation to rely on the radar? Stupid romanticism and stubbornness surely promoted by the French Federation.
And what about Felix
Yeah he's at home watching the us open, and draper clearly asked them to look at the replay. At that speed when you're only focused on one thing that job falls to the umpire not the player. And he'd have beaten FAA anyway. He levels better than him. And it was FAAs choice to force an ultimatum rather than continue playing which draper offered. Draper did nothing wrong period. If FAA was all that he'd been in the us open semis after winning 15 straights sets abd not even one tie breaker. FAA will do nothing in tennis. He's an also ran. But draper will eventually make number one while FAA I'd trying to qualify. Nobody cares about a 3rd rate player from Canada who chose to bail on that match cause he knew he was going to lose anyway.
Great example 👍🏾
My baby kokkinakis is so cute🥹
Also very decent of the umpire to make it 100 % clear that this decision was made by Draper.
Also, can we talk about Kokkinakis' shorts? Freaking magnificent!
They look good but they are actually swimming trunks from what I could research. i bet they aren't that comfy for tennis.
DRAPER IS A GREAT GUY WHEN IT’S NOT MATCH POINT😂 RIP FELIX
What was that noise though? Muslims were attacking??
This comes after Draper meeting his PR team
Not even a reaction from Thanasi sorry but thats very poor
MORE MORE MORE OF THIS HUMANS PLEASE
Roles reversed I don’t think he’d have given the other guy a first serve lol
Garin would not do the same. Was a tool in that match vs borges in estoril
It is clearly out tho, you can even see the mark appearing on the video
that's not why Jack gave him a 1st serve, had nothing to do with the call. There's a loud noise from the stands right before Kokkinakis serves, that's why Draper gave him that courtesy.
@@huntersnider9621 oh ok, I did not catch that
красавчик, меня бы тоже эти звуки напрягли
I m better of you!!!!!Ha ha cry 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Jack Draper just got my respect!
I wonder what made that noise.
and kokki anyway lost this game ahhahaha
Everyone in comments below seem to know why Draper conceded first service to Kokkin. Is the reason so clear? Seems to me there was a sudden noise while Kokk was serving, but i'm not sure.
Yes that was why
O please he got humbled so many times that’s the only reason he’s pretending to show “class”. People forget it wasn’t too long ago him and Baby Shelton were the punks who thought they could blow everyone off the court. It took a bunch of L’s for those 2 to calm down a bit.
He also scratch his thing 😂
Why is Jeremy Chardy the ref
Now let's see if WTA players can do this
What was that? ....that bang? 🤔
Did he lose the match after this?
Good sportsmanship but you can see the mark and it's clearly out.
It was about the noise. Draper wasn't disputing that it was long
The ball was out though. You can clearly see the mark. Nice anyway.
It was about the noise as he was serving. Draper wasn't disputing that it was long.
... and didn't he thank ?
FYI ... deep by a mile
what a dumb umpire
It was long anyways.
No other sport.
Out..
It was a fault
There and then when he truly won the match
lol why was it edited to make it seem Kokkinakis didn't show any gratitude?
Gentleman
this is the reason behind win of draper 😊
...and, ball was clearly ~3" deep...wow...
That wasn't the issue. It was about the noise as he was serving
And in true form Kok ungratefully accepts. Has to be my least fav player on tour
I think he did but wasn't in this clip.
at least what others are saying.
And Kokkinakis don't say even thank you
Why he came in boxers to play tennis
After all, this is a game with love. :P
You see. Tsitsipas couldn't do this.
Interesting. The first serve was long. Look at the ball marks on court before the first serve and notice the new ball mark after the serve. It's clearly long.
It was nothing to do with it being long, it was about the noise just as he was serving and draper thinking it may have put him off. Nobody was disputing that it was out.
Saudi foundation took over all sports
It looks good from here 😅
Yep, give him another first, no question. Normal tennis etiquette.
Mi dispiace Kokkiper te❤
He knows he has him beat when he can do this
You can see the ball mark even on this video, that's about 10cm out...
The problem was the noise during Kokk's serve. Not the in or out call
Umpire Hans Gruber
Nice but it was out
Balle is OUT
As it should be 👍
Very sportsmanlike, but it looks like it left a mark, which is an inch or two out.
That's not what it was about though. It was about the loud noise just as he was serving.
