Respectfully, I don't think that's necessarily true, although I do think you have to learn to sort of sift the chaff from the wheat, so to speak. There's been a lot of good reporting, thankfully, to keep people informed. Sometimes emotions might get in the way, but not always. There has alao been a lot of misinformation and disinformation, but that isn't always the media's fault. That's something we all need to watch out for.
The NYT's is the greatest newspaper in the world, if you want to clean windows, the sheets are big.
I'm from overseas, but I lived in NY in the 1980s. At that time, I thought that the NYT was the greatest newspaper I'd ever seen. Impartial, informative and factual. When I travelled there more recently, and read the current NYT, I could not believe how it had changed. I could have been reading Pravda in the old soviet Union. It presents as nothing more than a group of haters who want to undermine America.

Absolutely. They were a total failure as "moderators". Isn't it interesting that Dana started at cnn as a very mediocre journalist, but then married John King and suddenly rose thru the ranks. Just sayin'.
Don't blame the moderators. The AGREED RULES of the debate, were that there would be no real-time fact checking, nor any shown on the screen to the audience. Biden asked for the debate, set most of the rules, and agreed to all the rules.
The moderators are not there to do the job of holding either party accountable for lying, that is the job of the opponent. Biden proved unable to refute anything Trump said, even after Trump teed up several absolute softballs that any competent candidate would have knocked out of the park. He didn't even dispute the lie that a Democratic governor was allowing abortions AFTER BIRTH. He was befuddled and incapable of stating the actual facts.
The moderators didn't make him say 15,000 jobs instead of the actual 15 million. They didn't make him say there are 1000 trillionaires (which don't even exist) rather than billionaires. They didn't make him say insulin cost on medicare was capped at $15, two times before getting it almost right at $35, when what it really is, is $35 PER MONTH.
Tapper and Bash did their job. Biden showed that he cannot call out a liar with any details, and he cannot keep straight simple numbers, concepts and facts that he has been practicing for a week. Do you remember the days when presidents would hold press conferences and answer question under pressure for an hour or two, regularly? It is now obvious why he doesn't do that. He can't.
If his advisors are keeping his policies and results on the rails, then let those people run for the office. We don't need an elderly puppet running the country. There are many much more competent people available to run. He had a great career in government. Trying to extend it beyond January 20, 2025, all the way to 2029, is not in the interest of the nation.

Also the same one who can't talk for 30 seconds without making up or embellishing some minor accomplishment just to PRAISE HIMSELF!), his "business" history of constant failures and outright SCAMS (scams directed mainly at kids looking for possible college alternatives and senior citizens that were just trying to donate to him.....about as scummy as it gets), his dozens of sexual assaults/rapes going back decades including a recording where he gleefully details how he actually goes about assaulting/raping women (which is ironically identical to MULTIPLE police reports that are years prior to that recording) and his longtime close friendship with Jeffery Epstein which seemed to revolve entirely around their mutual love of beautiful women (seriously, anyone that STILL think he's somehow innocent is flat out delusional).
Beyond all that stuff, there's his highly questionable tax history, his insulting and embarrassing treatment of our countries longtime allies and ignorance of anything resembling foreign policy, his weird infatuation with Obama and bizarre attempts to repeatedly try and take credit for bills passed by Obama (and of course throwing a fit when finally called out on it). And if that's not enough, theres the fact basically never paid attention to the fbi/cia intelligence daily briefings and straight up stopped showing up after the first week (which is NOT okay, and is the kind of thing that should have resulted in immediate removal from office). Another "immediate termination" event should have been when he actually sided with Putin over the fucking FBI when they announced that they had proof of russia manipulating the votes of 2016 election (which likely WAS a stolen election). His reasoning? Oh well he and putin had a one on one talk with no aides or anything and trump said "I asked him, I REALLY questioned him! And he denied it, and i believe him!", which is literally the definition of TREASON. Trump doesn't have some magical ability to tell if someone else is lying, despite his person history anOf course before he was aware of the FBI's announcment he tried to claim it was the Ukraine (and certainly not because he was trying to
strong arm ukraine by withholding aid they desperately needed to defend themselves from....RUSSIA! Oh wait, that's exactly what he was doing!). Then he tried to say it was "both russia AND ukraine, before finally settling on "it could have been ANY country, EVERYONE does it". Which shows just how goddamn dumb he is and how poorly he is at thinking on his feet.
