FYI if you ever want to complete your UK cover collection of the Harry Potter books, just order from Amazon.ca ...we have the same editions in Canada and with the exchange rate they're basically 30% off for Americans.

I love the variety you have on your shelves. I saw some great adult fiction in there. As far as recommendations on which ones to read, if you're looking for something different, try Slade House by David Mitchell or the work you have by Ali Smith.
Donna Tartt's work is nice as well.

The unraveling of mercy Louis by Keira parssinen Is incredible
A long way gone: memoirs of a child soldier by Ishmael beah is a personal account of the Sierra Leonean civil war and child soldiers. It is graphic and violent but it is such an eye opener and heart breaking story
First they killed my father: a daughter of Cambodia by Loung Ung is about the Cambodian genocide and is also incredibly graphic and slightly hard to read, yet it is a must read in order to truly experience the devastating impact that this genocide caused to a country. It is a personal account of the author as a young girl watching how it affected the people she loved.
These books are some of my favorite books of all time. Highly recommend.
