- The Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square with guest artists Rebecca Luker, Dallyn Vail Bayles and Stanford Olsen celebrate LDS Church President Thomas S. Monson's 85th Birthday in "Golden Days" concert.
If anyone in the world today is deserving of this tribute, it's Thomas S. Monson. His teachings and example have helped me to feel and recognize the Savior's love in my own life. In April, when he spoke in the Church's semi-annual conference, my 8-year-old son was touched by his words and wrote down a sweet testimony of the Lord--a much needed light as the darkness of divorce loomed over our family at the time. I'll be sending blessings and prayers to him on his birthday month and always! :)
Look what I found! On a day when much prayer is needed I hear this great hymn (from BRIGADOON!). I have always sung this a praise so how glorious to hear THIS choir share my joy! Thank you!!!

I have played trumpet in orchestras and bands from Alaska to Texas, with stops in California, and now in Utah. I have also sung solos and in choirs and men's choruses. I only wish that I could play in the Orchestra at Temple Square and sing in the Tabernacle choir all at the same time. Listening to this great concert is as close as I will ever get to that perfect experience, unifying my old Bach Stradivarius with my tenor voice. Music is everything (except for my love, Corrie Lynne Player).

My wife, her mother and I were there that night. This song was fantastic and brought the crowd to their feet. It was just amazing to see, hear, and feel. Wow!

Dallyn Bayles sings "Bring Him Home" at 44:00 . It is the most beautiful thing. We were there, the audience couldn't help but stand.
As beautiful and inspiring as I find this, I can only imagine the concourses of Angels that will fill the air with voices and music on high at the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. What a beautiful day that will be.

Watching this in 2021. I did not see it live. It brings tears to my eyes knowing how much love he had for the Lord, for life, for his family and for service. I look forward to seeing him in the next world.

I say a big amen to your comment. We never let go the iron rod. My prayer now is that Heavenly father in His infinite mercy will miraculous provide for me job to do so i can start my own family. Else in the eyes of the world am too late but He is my faith and strength. May He locate me like He did Hannah, Cornilious, Jabaz etc. I turn 32 this 1st June. I love the sound of music.
Its the place the top the water hits the bottom of the atmosphere the brook .
I love the sound of the instrument of the voice to music the words.
Music the Solace is healing.

The Solace is apon me and I love to enjoy the joy of it as it is inspiration to , be at peace to rest eternity.
President Monson made me think , for the diversity to be as the spice of life and herbs make another testament of Jesus Christ.

Great music , voices to spirit the vision firts to the words that come .
And by the words the vision to come by the music that tops it off.
To flow the verses by the first and last making the last firts.
If I look i see the spring , the middle of the field hidden by the tall grass and overlooked by the creek running .
The secondary water that springs forth the fresh water when the run off muds up the creek.
The spring of the field is by the music I seek when the run off comes , I fall asleep thinking over the taste it brings drinking it down to open up the pure the desires of the heart.
