I think the modernisation of a lot of systems(the map and equipment menus, the real estate menu.) made me like it much better than the others. While it does have its flaws. And I’m probably missing the point of a “Fable game” I’d say that this one is the best Fable that I’ve played. At least till 4 comes out.
When you die you gain scars on your player that can be removed . It’s a pretty unique mechanic . If you really care about how your character it provides a fun challenge to remain scarless but if you do die a lot , you look kinda bad ass

I am home from college for Christmas- I didn't bring any of my games with me by mistake. A friend had passed down Fable 3 to me years ago, but I never got around to playing it, so it just sat in a drawer at home for years until recently, when I had nothing else to play. I became fully immersed in the game in the matter of hours. There are elements to the game that I think are a little dated like the combat mechanics and the graphics, but ultimately, I think Fable 3's story holds very well against the test of time. (I didn't like the combat very much. I couldn't really figure out how to block smoothly and I don't like how the firearms can hit an enemy without having to aim first. That's why I think it might be dated. I really liked how magic worked tho.) I've never been a huge stickler about graphics, and I love playing old video game that I didn't get to enjoy earlier in life. I think that Fable 3 is definitely worth playing in 2021!

Fable the Lost Chapters was my favourite instalment, even if Fable 4 ends up being objectively better (though I don’t have high hopes), it won’t match the nostalgia I have for Lost Chapters.
Loading screens are a thing of the past (thankfully). All I really want is for it to be a real Fable game, no gimmicks! Although, I am fully skeptical, as Lionhead is not making this one. I only see two possibilities, they either make it similar with the trilogy, with love and respect for the series and half succeed or they make it into a modern game by following modern trends and fail completely. I sure hope they don't stray too far. I've been waiting for a new Fable for way too many years.

I've played and beaten all 3 main titles multiple times and 3 is my favorite. I love 2 and it would've probably ended up being my favorite but it was just too damn short! The ending was rather weak and happened very abruptly!
Been wanting to play it again but it’s not available on steam. I do see you can get a digital download off Amazon and I might just do that. I always loved Fable 2/3 (never played 1) and have been wanting to revisit them for years
Nice review, but I don't think you mentioned local multiplayer, I'm interested as to whether that is fun or not, a lot of RPG focus on the main hero, and the second player doesn't seem to have many options.

Honestly, in hindsight I find this game story to be rather simplistic and have little moral complexity aside from Logan's hidden goal, but sometimes simplicity is better. This is one of my favorite games of all time.
None of the voices make any goddamn difference when the storyline is not actually told by the person but a narrator and our character has no voice. Thank you for reminding me

I didn't play any of the multiplayer for it, I just stuck to the solo story.
Local multilayer is ok but your limited to certain options and you can't customize your charcter
