If Anette reads these comments, I need her to know that while there can be harsh comments on RUclips, there are many positive comments as well and she has MANY fans who love her and welcome her voice and any music she is in with open arms. She is so sweet!
Definately. Lot's of Anette-love in her song's pages and TDE comments are SO POSITIVE! It's amazing, considering Nightwish civil war how positive the comments are.
And then there are people who aren't ardent fans, but still know how to behave in a decent manner towards a fellow human being. I like to believe that those are in the great majority. Haters, regardless toward whom they rage against, contribute with absolutely nothing. I'm glad that Anette is doing well and I wish her all the best!
Dude, you're a very good interviewer. I usually feel bad for musicians having to go through interviews, because some interviewers have a really insensitive way to go about their questions. But you handled this interview so well, especially the nightwish-related question was cleverly put so that you didn't irritate Anette, and neither did you dwell too long on it. Doing interviews suits you! Keep it up!
Annete as a person seems amazing. She answers stuff really honestly and frontally without trying to hide anything or avoid questions. She seems very nice as well. And she is an amazing singer. I have huge respect for her!
What a great interview! Anette is so bubbly person, fun to listen to. The Dark Element has done awesome job on this second album, cheers for them! As a huge Nightwish fan, it is so sad how things went with Anette and others, but I´m happy that everybody are doing fine in creating new music for us fans to listen to
This was a lovely interview! Thank you for doing this. I love Anette and I loved her singing in Nightwish. I'm so glad she's doing this project with Jani as they seem to be a good fit together. She has done amazing for herself and is definitely an inspiration. I'm so glad that she has been able to shine in her own space this time around.
Anette was a fantastic singer on tape.... Loved her work but she just seemed to falter live, but like she said herself she was always singing strained.... SO GLAD SHE IS DOING WELL... such a wonderful person also
I was devastated when Tarja got kicked out of Nightwish but I fell in love with Anette. Nowadays I am most excited by Tarja and Anette’s projects . They are awesome and seem lovely ! Well done Anette !
Not a surprising answer to the Nightwish question. It was not an ameccable parting at all, unfortunately and I completely understand. I really feel like she never got a fair shake in the band. She was criticized heavily by the vocal minority of the fans for being different and she didn't deserve it. I saw Nightwish with her in the band at least 3 times before the split and i loved her energy on stage. I am so incredibly happy to hear that she is happy in The Dark Element and that Jani respects her and allows her to be herself in the production. Jani has been one of my fave musicians since his time with Sonata Arctica and to hear that makes me like him even more. I hope we get many many more albums from them in the future!
@@luisgomez3007 I never said I sing better than her, did I? But I know my limits, and I really wish she would've too. I would definitely dress better than her. But I can compromise. In Dark Element she dresses and sing waaay better than she did in Nightwish.
@@lunaalana5208 Disliking her voice is okay, but denying her talent makes you look stupid as hell, why are you even watching that video if you hate her so much? You're so pathetic.
Nice to see Annette doing well. Have to take a listen to the full album. Sad the Nightwish part...Annette was on 2 amazing Nightwish albums. Nice interview Pedro. Abraço
Great interview and always a pleasure to see and hear what Anette has to say. Going to rant a bit here because I could not help and read some of the comments.... Cannot disagree with her not wanting a reunion with Nightwish, as a big Tarja fan, I do not see the point if they discarded them like trash... What is important is hers and Jani's project and not a band that used her as a shield to take all the hate, that they should be getting. Decades go by and the argument is still hot and it will always be, that is how fucked up it was. If Floor has it is easy, it is because Anette was the scapegoat and took all the hate and prepared the terrain like Saint John the Baptist for Christ. I do not care how talented and liked in the metal community Jansen is now, if she was the chosen one after Tarja left, she would have gotten the same treatment. That is why, many well known singers, at the time, actually declined the invitation to replace Tarja because they did not want to fill in those shoes. Of course Anette, being an outsider, came in the whole soap-opera like the little Eva that she interpreted so well as her debut song, not having a clue that she was getting into a wasp nest. She is an adult and she made her choice but the band that said so many times they stood behind her, that kept stating they were all like family, changed their tune pretty quickly, once she served her purpose and Floor was ready to step in. How sad, cannot imagine how Anette felt, once she knew who they picked and why.. Their mainstream fame started with Once but sure as hell grew exponentially after their albums with Anette, look at how many vies Amaranth has. She has commercial appeal and they knew it. I wish Anette all the best and hope one day she can put behind her all that shit that she did not ask for. Now, let us listen to this sweet and heavy album.
I'm not entirely sure that Floor would have received the same amount of hate, as she already was known within the metal community. Hard to say of course, there are unfortunately lots of nutters out there and some would certainly have raged against her as well - some still do, after all.
I've heard a couple of things that led to her departure from Nightwish. One being that she didn't want to fly out to Australia for a tour because she had gotten pregnant and flying wouldn't have been safe for her by the time that part of the tour arrived. I also heard that when she got sick and couldn't do a few shows, she basically demanded that Tuomas cancel those shows instead of finding emergency replacements to fill in. Tuomas went ahead and had the vocalists from Kamelot, who were opening for them at the time, fill in and that pissed her off. She was very insecure about her job with Nightwish and that made her paranoid to the point where she convinced herself that she was the leader of the band and was the one to make all the decisions. Even if they had the idea of a Nightwish vocalist reunion, I'm not sure they could even get Tarja to agree to it.
I think that even though those questions mean no offense, it feels kind of disrespectful to the current singer to keep asking the former singers about reuniting with the band. As you mentioned, it's one thing for fans to keep bringing up the Nightwish breakups decades after the fact due to their ugly nature, but for interviewers to keep doing it just doesn't feel right anymore. If Floor left too, I could probably understand asking Anette about a NW reunion, but doesn't it feel disrespectful to bring it up while Floor is still with them. It's like when people would ask Floor about the former singers, what do they expect her to say. There's just no need for any of that imo.
Thanks for the nice interview! I've seen her live with Nightwish in 2009, and I was really sad that I've never seen her performing Imaginaerum songs live because that is my favourite Nightwish album ever. But I'm glad she said no to the Nightwish question!
Nightwish would never ask her to sing with them anyways 🤣🤣 and if u read Anette's interview in the past , you can clearly see she was open to the idea, she is just bitter that Nightwish doesnt care for her
IMO Anette was the best Nightwish singer, and now she is so wonderful in The Dark Element, totally love it. Sad that Jani is so busy and can't tour, I really want to see Anette on stage again. Love you, cheers from Belarus!
aww she's so cute!! nice interview, and definitely this album is great. I get in love with all the songs and i hope this become more into a band than a project, because they have potential for that. Greets from Argentina ♥
Really am enjoying the album, thanks for the interview...great to see Anette and her new band doing so well and getting the recognition they deserve. 🤘🤘🤘
The answer to the last question hurt me so much, but I understood the situation between her and them. It's been like this since the time of their departure. At least she's in her place now and doing great!
As much as I would love to see that as well I think she's better off. It took them forever to get around to settling the dust with Tarja. It's funny how Nightwish made a big deal about Floor joining, nothing against her, she's amazing as well, but haven't done much with her. In the time they had Annette I noticed they got more exposure over here in the US, which mind you this was around 2007 and the Power Metal genre was still rare. I remember people who I didn't think knew Nightwish were talking about them. If I'm not mistaken they had their two best selling albums with Annette, and some of their biggest tours. Unfortunately I feel that she was never going to be truly or fully accepted by the band and fans. But things turned out this way for a reason. She's got an awesome new project with people she enjoys and if I'm mistaken again she's back with her original band Alyson Avenue as well. Annette, you've done great.
@@WASP87 we still have to thanks Nightwish for making her a big name, although the end was sad. Now I hope she continues carrying the legacy while being on her own with Jani Liimatainen's supporting. She's doing great with songs that truly fit her voice, and yes, she's also back with Alyson Avenue now.
..and guess what was the topic of those news...the bad things that she said about Nightwish...i think its realy sad that she said those things..i also think that she dont realy understand and see what was here singer role in Nightwish..she realy was a substitute singer..but finaly she made a big mistake whit the guys..put himself first befor the band(like Tarja did also)...but now Nightwish will live happily ever after whit Floor
@@bumerang6959 it sounds like Tuomas and the manager of Nightwish both can be pretty insufferable to deal with. While it could be considered "unprofessional" that she speaks negatively of her experiences with the band, I would rather she be honest than just give it some PR spin about how great her time with Nightwish was. Also, given that the albums with Anette are Nightwish's best selling albums, I would say she was more than a "substitute singer."
Great interview and one more reason I love your channel. I particularly liked the part about the creative process since I had no idea how that worked. Sad to hear they won't likely be doing any extensive touring in the future, but I can understand why. Keep up the great work!
Nice! Very organic and raw interview with Anette. Really disappointed about them having to turn down touring with some headlining bands. But I see the writing on the wall. If TDE becomes the commercial success we all anticipate, Jani will be forced to make a choice. I, for one, hope he chooses TDE. And I agree with Anette, favorite song off both albums for me is, The Pallbearer Walks Alone! Thanks for the interview A&P! Great job!
Anette is a Goddess... and a very beautiful person! This new album, like the previous one, is an absolute Masterpiece! Thank you Pedro for this interview! Love from Milan, Italy!
It's funny I feel like I'm the only one who feels Annette was actually the best nightwish singer they had. Most people say floor and act like there's never been a better singer ever. But i personally have just never been "floored" by her and nightwish will always be Annette to me. Just listen to floor's version of poet and the Pendelum. It's just okay.. Not even close to Annette's original amazing version!
Anette always made me a sweet girl impression. Looking how she talked to audience (she is very good talking to audience BTW), interviews and what something I've read she wrote. Don't know Jani so well, but he seems like an easy-going guy, hoping he treats Anette right.
It's odd how things work out sometimes. The song that she wasn't sure should even make the album turned out to be, in my opinion, her best perfomance on the album.
She is just adorable. She is honest and straightforward. She never hides behind words and she never acts like a diva. She is very down to earth and I love how she she just says it how it is. It’s not something you’ll find easily in celebrities. I just love the about her ❤
Nightwish would never ask her anyway, they didnt end off things in a good way, Nightwish specially Tuomas wont go out of his way to fix whatever Anette is waiting for Nightwish to fix,
Great interview👍.. thank you both for making this happen!! So nice to see Anette doing well♥️ and hopefully I will see The Dark element live in Finland one day!!
Anette continues to be one of the few artists out there who I can truly respect. Just a beautiful person, inside and out. Thank you for this, A&P-REACTS!
I listened to a few Dark Element songs recently and I was quite impressed with the sound. Anette's voice was pretty good, and the guitar work was interesting as well.
Great interview, and I just have to correct Anette on one part: As someone who is deeply into Death Metal, I still love "Songs the Night sings". It's a fabulous album, and I really hope that they can do a gig near where I'm living because I'd love to see them live. Also great to see that Anette has found a great place to be in her life.
@@APREACTS Maybe you're right though I'd hate to be an exception to this. Metal fans pride themselves of being open-minded people so they should be able to appreciate good music even if it isn't their preferred genre. Your channel is a good case of how it should be, just appreciation of everything that belongs to the wider metal genre.
You are right, there's plenty of open minded people, but metal is so wide with sub-genres, also many people can't digest it all. Some metal fans are pretty much locked into their genre, or even the types of the songs they accept from their fav band. It was sad to see the attacks from "old fans" against Battle Beast's new album, that had couple of songs different from their traditional style.
@@Aurinkohirvi Yeah, I know what you mean. I also understand that it can feel hurtful if a band you like suddenly decides to try new stuff. Happened to me several times (and I admit that I'm also one of those fans Battle Beast might have lost with their last album) but I still try to be respectful about it
This interview was an enjoyable surprise, and as I said earlier, a cougar (Anette) and a tomcat (Jani) is a match made in heaven with the blessing from all the metal gods.
Thank you for this! And yes, Anette was in both the best albums from Nightwish, at least for me, despite the fact that Floor is definitely my favourite singer...But what can we tell about Jani? This guy is in two TOP of the TOP albums this year - Yeah!!! Love you Anette!
@@blegi1245 It's not bitter to want to see your idols mend their past, and together again. The Beatles members were kept asking all their life if they would come togther again. It's just an interest of the fans.
Omg, Anette is so gentle and nice in this interview! Thank you Anette and Pedro for giving us this, and thank you for the questions... I'm going to explore more from the Dark Element lastest album because of this! I hope you are fine, Cheers from Portugal!
I don't know what really happened with Nightwish(if some one can fill me in, I'd appreciate it), but I understand she had a tough role - almost any singer in that position would have gotten a lot of flack for it. Removing the voice of a band and replacing it with a very different one? Damn, Anette had guts to take that on. But with this project and being able to distance herself from NW, I think she's getting more of a fair shake as to what she has to offer and it's about time. She is an amazing vocalist. If people stop looking at her in context of NW, they can judge her work fairly. Honestly a little surprised she went a but heavier too. I loved "Shine" but it made me think she preferred a more pop approach.
AFAIK Anette wanted the Australian tour to be cancelled because of her pregnancy and NW didn't want to do this so they contacted Floor to ask if she could fill in for Anette. Anette hated this idea because she knew that Floor will become a fan favourite, especially since most fans didn't like Anette's live performances. I think it was frustrating for both sides but it was basically just standard workplace drama on a more public scale.
Anette told in an interview she had a feeling that when the boys learnt she was pregnant, they started a plan to fire her. When Anette then told about the pregnancy, they had negotiations what to do. She wanted to sing until Australia, and initially agreed to a substitute singer for Australia. But when Tuomas insisted on Floor, Anette said no: it seemed to her too much a plan to fire her. After this hard negotiation she fell ill and was taken to hospital: she agreed on Elize and Alissa replacing her for the gig in Denver. Then she wrote something into her blog (I don't know what) but apparently about this replacing business, and I bet the issue of her pregnancy replacement was the hot potato. Based on this blog writing Nightwish fired her. Which in my opinion is an over-reaction and an excuse, no matter what she would write in to her blog. And confirms that Anette was right about the band planning to get rid of her. You should know that Tarja saw as the biggest issue that divided her from the band, was the tours. She thought there were too many gigs and too many in row. Tarja told in her press confrence she was worried about her health and voice. She and Marcelo (her manager & husband) suggested reducing the number of gigs, but the band did not agree. So she finally got to stay in the hotels instead of the band bus, to get enough rest. And in the open letter given to Tarja when fired, the band hated that Tarja got to stay in hotels, and they hated Tarja had said next time she would tour only three weeks at a time. Now, Anette was touring with her 3 year old son with her, and the band had to get her an extra bus. They had disagreements with Anette too, which gigs to do and how many in row, Anette told in an interview. Anette had repeated flus and she had voice losses. The issues were very same Tarja had earlier: the band was exhausting her. Now she was pregnant, couldn't do part of the tour, and a new infant to take care. Is it so far fetched Anette was right, when she said she had this feeling boys were planning to get rid of her as soon as they got wise of her pregnancy? Don't seem too out of charater, in my opinion. She saw the game plan, when they wanted Floor to be the replacement.
Yes, it IS farfetched. You really think they would have gotten away with that? nope. Her Social media ranting andbeing so aggressively against Floor being the temp replacement was her real undoing. If she had played it cool and just let it happen, she might have still been in the band. Them ditching her for the temp replacement for no reason besides the fans liking her more woudl have been BAAAD pr. After all that blowback from the way they handled Tarja's departure, that would have ended the band right then and there.
@@ceesgeelzucht3944 They GOT away with that, both with Tarja and Anette. Only excuse they gave both time, was unfitting behavior. With Tarja they didn't even say which one, just wrote a big list of them. Tarja had a long press confrence, she didn't rant in social media, press confrence was a bigger gun. Anette didn't rant anything in social media for years, before she came clean in an interview and told she was fired just like Tarja, and said she had a feeling it was because of the pregnancy.
@@Aurinkohirvi It should be pointed out the whole thing happened while Floor was still recovering from her burnout. She has mentioned before that if they had called her a month earlier, she would've probably declined because even though she was doing better by that point, she still didn't feel ready to start singing again, let alone touring again. If there was indeed some elaborate "game plan" to kick Anette out all along, then what guarantee did the band have that Floor would agree to take the job given what she was dealing with at the time. After all they must have been aware of the state she was in when they contacted her about coming in as a replacement singer for the rest of the tour. Because of that, isn't the logic of "let's get rid of this singer who is unable to tour and bring in that singer who hasn't toured in a while because of health issues", a little bit flawed. Wouldn't that make them just as neglectful of Floor's well-being as they allegedly were of Anette's.
HEY! Anette interview, great idea! - And it was an interesting one! Good questions, Anette was chatty and honest. ❤️❤️ Anette, love you! ❤️❤️ I have "Shine," your Nightwish albums and the first TDE album (which is wonderful). TDE has been great, I've been so excited and high expectations every time a new song was released from the new album. I'm thinking Tarja should feature you, that would be really wonderful too!! Yeah I was upset what NW did both to you and Tarja, and I saw your previous offer that that you would welcome a talk with Tuomas to mend things. Too bad it didn't happen. Happy for you and Jani finding each others and that TDE is a continuing thing, I was worried it was only one album "project," but good thing it wasn't. I've watched all your RUclips NW-concerts, suppose hundreds of single song videos and enjoyed them a lot! My only complain is, I wish there were more with good audio/video quality. All the best for Jani and you!
Well you're my favourite nightwish singer Anette. Live or studio. The other two are great stage singers but you put the rock 'n' roll into their live performances..
Jani, get out on tour with Anette!! Can't you see the explosive potential you have there with The Dark Element?? Damn it man, wish i could shake some sense into you (Much love tho). And i really hope Anette doesn't pay too much attention to the negative people, they are blind, deaf and dumb that they can not see the wonderful singer and person you are! You have MUCH LOVE out here Anette! Focus on that energy instead! :)
Yeah, she does, about Tuomas anyway. Watching Raskasta Joulua videos, it really seems like she and Marko mended the past and made peace. Very happy for both of them. But with Tuomas Tarja's wound is the deepest, and according to what I see Tarja in Finnish TV interview... I think this year, she isn't any closer with Tuomas than previously. And I think Tuomas and the band were in the wrong, and what they did wuth Tarja was so much more shit than what they did with Anette, which wwas also bad.
@@Aurinkohirvi do u know backgrounds?tarja has sayd that she do only 1 more album and leaves the band, also tarjas husband do some shady things with bands accounts in tour.what comes anette, she example left away middle a gig and marco needs to sing concert to the end etc.nw is tuomas band and others are full members but u cant run band when there are those kind a peole who dont carry their weight and/or make unnececcery problems.i think with tarja, shes husband was problem and with anette,at that point anette couldnt do what need to do:be pro,do your job etc.
@@metalmill4233 Apparently I know a LOT more than you. Marcelo had nothing to do with band's accounts nor the band's money. The band had a different manager, Marcelo was only Tarja's manager running her daily things. He didn't negotiate or decide gig rewards, album rewards, nothing of the sort. He did negotiate with the band that Tarja can stay in hotels instead of the band bus. Tarja suggested the band that they should cut the number of gigs, as she was worried of her health and her voice, couldn't get the rest she needed in the band bus: that's why she finally moved to hotels. So who is the greedy one? The ones who suggest reducing the gigs, suggest cutting North America from the tour entirely, or that ones who rather exhaust their vocalists (same happened with Anette) than agree reducing gigs? Anette got a panic attack in the concert. It's impossible to sing or perform when that happens. She had stress from her homefront and her husband.
@@metalmill4233 And in Anette's case, they could have quitted the concert there and say it happened because Anette's health issues. But no, they wanted to keep the show going, for the fans and/or the money. It does happen you know that concerts are interrupted for the reason. I was in a concert that was interrupted because the performer got too drunk. Anette performed in several hundered gigs, and this happened ONLY ONCE. It's not like it was her habbit.
I loved tHis interview. You guys should react to Sahara and Scaretale live videos with Annette that are on Nightwish RUclips channel. Great videos by the way! Great review of this amazing record!
There are four full concerts by Anette with decent to good audio/video quality. IMHO anything from those concerts could be reacted to. Some reaction channels are too picky on the audio/video quality they react to. Fans of Anette would understand lower quality, as good quality live videos are so freaking rare. Hamburg 2012 and Lowlands 2008, Gampel 2008 have decent quality. Montreux 2012 has muffled sound for the longer concert video, but some single song videos have even good quality. And the Planet Hell exercise video has great quality. So yes, we have quite a few live songs that could be reacted to, if they agreed to lower audio/video quality.
Amazing album!!! Completely love it!!! The only thing I am really sad about the videos is that the bass player (Jonas Kuhlberg) is not in them!!! He is awesome!!! Please, please, please include him in the following videos!!!
I have always loved Anette, now my love for her grows even more for her honesty and humble nature. Wish you the best with The Dark Element and your solo. Oh and I forgot, Allen/Olzon project too.
yup have to agree, the two nightwish albums annete featured in were the best in my opinion. Sad that they departed on bad terms but im so happy for her now. This album is absolutely fire...well done!!!!
Love this band I really think that janni has an ear for writing great music that complemts Annette's singing so glad to hear Annette is back better than ever and getting reconised for being the great singer she always was lovely lady dark element rocks
@@RVNT9OE Not really. It happened with Tarja, then it happened with Anette, and both times, even when you look at it with neutral eyes, the way they released their vocalist was absolutely distasteful. So while I don't know for sure if their reasoning was good, what I do know is that they handled it like assholes both times.
There are always two sides. It doesn't matter either way. It worked out pretty well for both sides. NW has Floor and Anette has TDE. All of them seem happier then before and it's great for us because TDE is a pretty good project and a nice addition to the metal scene.
IMHO Nightwish acted very bad in both cases of their lead vocalists. Both Tarja and Anette had concerns of their health and voice (Tarja told this in her press confrence and Anette in her interview) because the number of gigs in a row. Tarja told she started to stay in hotels because she wasn't getting rest enough. Anette is known to have repeated flus and voice losses. The band appeared so damn greedy and ambitious they exhausted their lead vocalists, and when it seemed that wouldn't work any more, they kicked them out. And it wasn't done gracefully either.
When's the interview with Jani coming? It would be interesting to hear from him how he goes into the creative process. And how he chooses wich songs go into each band his in.
I know there was a big time fallout between Anette and Nightwish and it sucks but I'm still a fan of her and Nightwish. I was fortunate to catch a Nightwish show with her just 9 days before she quit the band. I got the collaboration album she did with Russell Allen and it absolutely kicks ass! I will definitely be looking into The Dark Element cause those songs sound awesome too. As far as her dealings with Nightwish, they each have their side to the story and only they know what all happened but I hold no grudge with them or Anette. Sometimes, as with Tarja, bands just have to move on when things start to get rocky and they just have to replace people in order to keep things going. I'm hoping they never run into any conflicts with Floor cause she seems to enjoy being in Nightwish.
Great interview. I was listening to songs on this album today and they were good. As Anette mentioned, I also agree with the idea of song pop elements and that it is very good for listening to while exercising. I'd love to listen to this at the gym. While listening to the songs, I found some similarities in the melodies to the songs of Nightwish ... Hmm surprising, or did my imagination prank. Edema ruh (Nightwish) vs. Silence between the Words (The Dark Element)
You're not alone with this. There are definitely some similarities with some of the melody lines in that song and Edema Ruh (and I absolutely love that song, so I was a bit irritated by that at first). Don't think it's intentional though, and (I hope she doesn't hate me for that) the vocals, especially in the refrain, remind me more of Belinda Carlisle in that song. :D. Still a great song, after i got used to it.
Ive heard a few small nods to Journey, Nightwish, Metallica, and even themselves... I personally think that they like certain pieces and like to build a whole new song and use the pieces in a new way.
I love Anette and her voice. Even though I like night wish too, I don't know all the facts. But they seem cowardly the way the replace singers, with a note, while their sick & pregnant. Anette seems super sweet she has good In her

@@loadeddog8015 I heard floor murder plenty of nightwish songs live mate.
Naaah! Oceanborn is their best album..
I was devastated when Tarja got kicked out of Nightwish but I fell in love with Anette. Nowadays I am most excited by Tarja and Anette’s projects . They are awesome and seem lovely ! Well done Anette !
Same!
But floor jansen is the better singer
Lol! Seriously? She dressed like a grandma clown on stage! And sounded like a crow.
@@lunaalana5208 of course cuz your a better singer than her and dress better than her . Lol
@@luisgomez3007
I never said I sing better than her, did I? But I know my limits, and I really wish she would've too.
I would definitely dress better than her.
But I can compromise. In Dark Element she dresses and sing waaay better than she did in Nightwish.
I agree.
She is better suited to Dark Element than Nightwish... At least Jani will change key of songs to suit her too🙄🙄
@@lunaalana5208 Disliking her voice is okay, but denying her talent makes you look stupid as hell, why are you even watching that video if you hate her so much? You're so pathetic.
Thank you Anette for putting out such a masterpiece. Your album is incredible.
Nice to see Annette doing well.
Have to take a listen to the full album.
Sad the Nightwish part...Annette was on 2 amazing Nightwish albums.
Nice interview Pedro.

Thank you!!!
@@APREACTS I just bought the new one. I guess she was treated by Nightwish fans treated her like a monster. Great Album.
Great interview Annette is such a great person.
Love her response to the nightwish question. Good on her for setting boundaries and standing up for herself!
She had never heard of Nightwish before she sent the demo tape to Tuomas, she actually didn't know how big the band was.
@@Piia2023 She was too naive.
So nice from Anette to agree this kind of interactions, I like her in her time with Nightwish and I like even more the dark element ♥
Thanks for the nice interview! I've seen her live with Nightwish in 2009, and I was really sad that I've never seen her performing Imaginaerum songs live because that is my favourite Nightwish album ever. But I'm glad she said no to the Nightwish question!
Nightwish would never ask her to sing with them anyways 🤣🤣 and if u read Anette's interview in the past , you can clearly see she was open to the idea, she is just bitter that Nightwish doesnt care for her
@@remagine You are pathetic, you know that?
IMO Anette was the best Nightwish singer, and now she is so wonderful in The Dark Element, totally love it. Sad that Jani is so busy and can't tour, I really want to see Anette on stage again. Love you, cheers from Belarus!
Dark Passion Play is best indeed.
Worst singer by far
aww she's so cute!! nice interview, and definitely this album is great. I get in love with all the songs and i hope this become more into a band than a project, because they have potential for that. Greets from Argentina ♥
I'm so happy She made a comeback with Dark Element project both albums are Amazing I'm so proud of Her and Janis great music and melody🐺

I'm so glad that To Whatever End wasn't taken off the album - it's definitely my favorite!
Kif Bender mine too!
Just discovered The Dark Element and glad I did. I love it! Keep it up!
Thanks for a great interview and, Anette, if you are reading this ... the album is great!
Great interview...and LOVE Dark Element!!
You are not alone 👍😎
So damn right. Anette's voice has a personality and a musicality I just can't find back in NW's latest shows.
Holy shit her kids watch your reactions?! That's awesome!
I was blown away by it. She was so cool and kind. A real pleasure to talk to.

I just love the about her ❤
Kinda-of sad at the no reunion with Nightwish but understand. I'm happy she is doing well. Thank You for doing the interview.

Man, thank you both for doing this. I love hearing from Anette. Very awesome.
I think she was generalizing which perhaps if you ask 10 death metal fans 8 will not like this album. You are perhaps the exception not the rule

No. Fans always want to know. Most of us anyway. And that's why they all (Anette, Tarja , the boys) get these questions.
Aurinkohirvi no, only you bitter people that live in the past want these question asked over and over again
@@blegi1245 It's not bitter to want to see your idols mend their past, and together again. The Beatles members were kept asking all their life if they would come togther again. It's just an interest of the fans.

I'd love to see The Dark Element play some shows / gigs especially in the U.K.
Me too 👍
Yes! Please come to the UK!
And Finland of course, because heck, Jani is here and Anette quite close...
This was very good!!
Very good!
It’s a little bit sad that she’s not able to reunite with Nightwish, but I guess that Tarja think the same way as her...
@@Aurinkohirvi yep ur surely fan...those things are in nightwish book...but its good that you know more than i :)

I love her voice. I am ashamed of Nightwish for treating you so badly.
Honestly that's questionable. Fans are better off not making assumptions.
Yeah, things worked out better for both of them really. Like Mustaine & Metallica.
Nice interview
New cd is awesome!!!
Floor is the best of those 3.
Brilliant. Cheers
When It All Comes Down is my running tune. So epic!
Her voice is aMazing !
Anette seems super sweet she has good In her
Her Laugh Just Gives me Life.
Awesome video
Loved it. An love the dark element 🤘🤘
Hoping to see them one day in Europe
Anette is gorgeous inside out ❤
Her response to the Nw question was so quick XD Damn, what did they do to her that we don´t know?
It Is just great album
Anette, we love you. 🤘💞
We need Within Temptation feat Anette Olzon!
Love her honesty. Pains me to hear Nightwish treated her badly
Dark element is better than insomnium,Jani should stick with Anette... Give TDE his 100% 🤟🤟
Hey Pedro, Anette says you have "a little one". Congratulations, when did that happen!
That's what she said.
My friend Pedro :)
Could she sings Nightwish songs like escapist, scaretale, if the dark element make a tour?
I doubt that she would
Tarja sings some songs from NW why she can't? Would be a trully succes!
They won't do any Nightwish cover, she said that in an interview
It's a shame :(
Anette has said she wouldn't sing Nightwish songs. Not because she hates the band so much, but she doesn't want to irritate them either.
Although I think she could.
And I think it is quite right Tarja does.
What a wonderful, honest, women
anette olzon love you
I would like to see your interview with In Flames
Honestly the best revenge for NW treating her like crap? Their best albums are both with her!
tuomas make the albums stupid not the singer
