I’d go far as to say he was the best of all time. Considering his art was made in a time where there were no distractions like and he had to observe everything he drew in real life in order to understand it anatomically is mind blowing. He must of spent a fair bit of time in Zoos and just drawing every hour of the day. Brilliant master of transposing mind to paper.
