But the minute she got a taste of him then she started bringing up letter gate and trying to make Brooke the creep in the situation when it was her the married woman who CHOSE to marry Thorne. She was such a horrible nasty person. Yes, she realized she was wrong in the end but she screwed up Bridge and it was too late by then.

In this scene she was in fact afraid that Ridge would take it wrong (which he did) and that Brooke and Ridge would end which she considered a threat to her family at that moment. Of course Stephanie did not really like Brooke then yet, but she openly supported them, so her attitude did not cause anything. Given your reactions I strongly believe you didn't watch the show and if you did you are very advanced in adding things that did not actually happen.
