Probably my Mom's next car thanks to Ford being idiots and getting rid of their sedan lineup. She's only bought Ford her whole life but also has ZERO interest in owning an SUV of any size. Ford's loss is Toyota's gain.
@@rose968 bad deal I got one for $13,400 and 48,000 miles and clean title but that guy had many people lined up for that car so I was just lucky I got it at such a good price. Just saying that keep on searching for a good price and 16K is not a good deal for 100k miles
@@Sanrio0714im being offered a Corolla le 2017 with 55k miles for 13k Person is in the military and needs to depart soon… you think this is a good deal?
That's what I am leaning towards. The Hyundai Elantra and Kia Forte currently offer the best value. Around my area you can get an Elantra with the Popular Package for about 16K-17K. Tech Package is about 1K more.
The new front bumper looks a little funky, but I actually like it. It makes the car looks more modern and stylish. Old front bumper looks just like any other cars on the street. Not to mention, Corolla has always been a potato, or a box (that actually give us more interior room). Look at the new Civic hatch. It looks like a spaceship mixed with riced cars. Everyone keeps staring at it whether they like it, or not. I think it is a good thing.
I Rented one. Liked it a lot. Felt solid. Great engine note. LOVE the new dash. I wish they offered a bargain CE model without power features for under 13 grand with a Stick. You need to move up a model for a 6 speed in these. So limiting. The Jetta I rented was disappointed. I just got a quote for $14,700 on a new LE, not the Eco though (I agree, it is Silly.. why offer it?... for what 2-4 mpg gain? Make it STANDARD to be competitive!) Corolla has never driven like a Fun car
I have a question concerning the corolla 2017 windshield camera, whats the real purpose of it and how do you actually use it? Or dost it have some passive functionalities?
There's a lot less quantity L models at dealerships mainly because it's not much money to go from an L to an LE so typically the customer wants the LE especially because it has more of what they want out of the vehicle as well. Plus, it's a lot easier to up sell which makes the dealer a little more money. I used to work for Toyota and we had maybe 2 or 3 L Corolla's and about 85 LE's. Once in a blue moon a frugal customer will demand a bare bones Corolla.
Consumer Reports' own freeway tests show 43mpg; their test of the frugal Nissan Versa Note shows 40mpg freeway. The EPA reports 36 for the Corolla on the freeway cycle, 39 for the Versa. Go figure. The Corolla has Goodyear Eagle RSA tires, the Note has Bridgestone Ecopia ultra low resistance, and the Note weighs a lot less. So how does the Corolla beat the Note in the very accurate Consumer Reports test cycle, but show a lower EPA mileage? Inexplicable. Most people accelerate more aggressively than the testers, I suspect, and brake late rather than reading the road and lightening up on the throttle to slow down, so it's probably better for the Corolla to be out there with lower expectations than the Versa Note. But both should be champs on road trips at relatively steady speeds compared to a freeway commute to work with tailgaters and frequent braking/re-accelerating.
We test drove and the passenger seats on 2016's sit so low you feel like youre staring at the dash and Im average height. Salesman said 2017 no change. Also the dash on the corolla interior in general is so ugly. Just mho. We ended up w/ a chevy cruze of all things and ya know what it rides really nice and is nice looking too. Never thought Id leave Toyota.....plus we wanted a manual transmission and it was a huge hassle finding one in Toyota for some reason. (they could only order it after buying it...umm no new car wanna see it first). PS our cruze has tons of leg room its llarger wheel base and length of car, it rides better then corolla. I came to this video to see if salesman was right, cause Id be ticked I really wanted a Toyota till I fell in love w/ cruze
Lol I had a Chevy Cruze I called it the Chevy curse it’s riddle with issues epically motor problems your gonna pay a shit ton more than a Corolla you wasted your money on a poorly designed engine
Why on gods green earth would toyota ruin the most reliable car in earth with cvt transmission? To me that's crazy and why these cars are in the shop non stop.
The USA Corolla is so ugly!! OMG!!! How can u guys like it??? The one that is sold in the rest of the world is way better, and also can come with 2.0L engine.
I have a corolla 2014 Sport, it's way better than this; at least aesthetically. I see they mixed more cloth like material into the interior. the touchscreen doesn't look more premium, it looks like a an old TV with a huge bezel. The steering is no longer leather with stitches. The features sounds great. if they redesigned the front though, they should have redesigned the rear; Imagine and 2014 corolla with a rear of the 2013 rear. I'm guessing this what other people say it's ugly, including me. It's a mismatch. I'm sure the car performs better than my 2014, it just doesn't look right.
Your comparing the wrong trims you have a s model Corolla or sport model this Corolla is a more basic LE trim you would need to compare a se or XSE trim to your sport
Honda take note: there are knobs for the volume and toggles for heat and cooling! Not touch screen!
Heyu Yoma and Honda also has a 2.0 non turbo LOL!
Heyu Yoma Tried and true and bullet proof.
buildmorefarms100 Honda sucks...
Yes, I'm sick of touchscreen EVERYTHING. I want buttons and knobs!

I have this car. It is great for the price 16k I paid. Yes not the fastest or most exciting, but good mpg, comfort and reliable

Really great car, still no problems.
The 2017 Toyota Corolla LE Toyota needs to upgrade that radio ASAP it’s OK but it’s better than nothing
S in LE CVT is NOT sport mode and you cannot manually shift unless you're in an SE model. It's stands for SECOND for minimal engine breaking.
By the way, Dodge has stopped the production of the Dart...
I like the car is very Good car, I will try to buy by the Grace of God
"It's not gonna make you wanna go zoom zoom" lol, this is accurate.
How do you get the USB to work with the radio on this car? My flash drive doesn't seem to he working
Good review
Score for Corolla? Also, can you try reviewing the Corolla iM as well?
The future Corolla iM
Jesus Mtz Scion iM rebagded as a Toyota. :D
I have a 2017 XSE and get 35 to 40 mpg on the hwy. And that's with 17-inch wheels and low profile tires. Those factory ratings are off
does anyone buy the L model. i never seeing one. all i see is LE and S model
I've seen maybe 3 ever in person. (Ohio)
I never see any L model anywhere from highway or local. I only see LE or S thats about it
***** They didn't really get rid of it. It's just called the SE now, like the sportier Camry trim.
I wish they offered a CE> I want one that is lower on features and lower on price.

What do you think of the hollow, tin cam sound it makes when accelerating. I was disappointed at how the 2017 Corolla felt and sounded.
Wonder how many engines Toyota made for the corolla in 2003 since it's 2016 and still uses the same old engine.
Sam Lung that engine is dependable
Great review! It can now duke it out with it's arch enemy the Civic...hope to see the new 5 door Civic Hatchback review soon:)

ViperVenom TV you got ripped off I got it for 15k with 7 years of warranty

it depends where you live. the farther for the port where it is imported the more expensive
Yea im 6'3 and was dumbfounded how room it was
Wanted a focus for the wife, but not with that auto transmission..
So went with Corolla
Doesn't the front look like a prius?
Jeragon186 Not even close. It just looks futuristic, at least it doesn't look boring like the 2013 corolla. Actually, the 2014 shape was the best imo.
No
i have one it’s not the fastest i can get to only 125 but it’s my favorite daily ever and gas is great never more than $50
i also live in la so under $50 is great
Please review a 2017 Corolla XSE
If you have a tall torso your head will hit the ceiling in the 1st or 2nd rows.
I just got this Toyota Corolla but in the carfax for year 2017 it has a recall. Do any of you guys have any program issues with this car?
Just airbag recall
Lots of glare on the touch screen. At least the LE doesn't have the chicken wire front end.
Wheres the XSE!?
This Corolla Runs On Regular Unleaded Fuel.
Can you play music through the USB?
I am pretty sure you can
Yes and through Bluetooth
Yes You Can.
You haven't 2019 cars in a long time

Toyota’s CVTs have been reliable my 17 XSE has 148k and still going I have even seen some with 250k+ with the CVT
i like the camary better because it has more leg room
The camry is kind of a mid size sedan
The Camry is midsized, this is a Compact
The camry is larger bro.
So you're saying that a Compact Car has more Legroom than a Midsized Car...
Camry and camry is not the same for you? 😂😂😂
❤
I wouldn't want one...too many people buy them and bland.
The USA Corolla is so ugly!! OMG!!! How can u guys like it??? The one that is sold in the rest of the world is way better, and also can come with 2.0L engine.
And also, the 1.8L, sold in South America is more powerful, producing 144 HP
I like it and so many other people do too. I actually have a 2017 Corolla XSE fully loaded in my driveway, and I love it.
why are you so negative
