Thank you for making this DIY on RV toilets. It came in extremely handy, especially the part you showed where the water usually will leak from., ( That is the problem.)
The problem I’m having nobody seems to show is that pin you say goes down in the hole. Well that part of valve has to slide into that groove and I can’t seem to get my valve to slide out of groove
I wonder if alot of us having issues with these failing often is related to the water pressure being too high. I know I get 60 PSI from the hose bib, which I want for the shower. I installed one of the inline pressure reducers you see in RV sections of stores but then the shower pressure sucks. I removed that and now Im looking at getting an adjustable water pressure regulator that I will install just for the line to the toilet. Thankfully I have easy access to it in my pass thru.
Update - my leak was due to a hole in that little hose from the valve to the toilet. Mine was a flex style. Went to the hardware store and bought some 1/2" thin wall clear tube for $1.50. How that flex tube got a hole I have no idea.
Thanks for the install info I think what would have also been helpful is if you listed the tools needed prior to beginning of the install. That would’ve been helpful to know what to pull out prior to the installation. Thank you
I followed the video and everything seems connected like it should but when I cut my water on it still leaks water. It feels like the water is coming from the metal piece on the actual water line right where it screws onto the black part of the water valve. Do you have any tips or ideas of what I’ve done wrong?
I just did this. My replacement also had that red O-Ring on the filler hose nipple. The original did not. Can’t get the clear hose to go over that O-ring so I just have it pushed up against the end of the clear hose now...not sure how to remedy this.
Please like and subscribe :) I just posted another video on replacing a propane regulator. I’ll keep posting videos as I make repairs. Who knows, maybe I’ll get a Jayco sponsorship someday, lol.

Thank you so much for this video! I have the same toilet and I will be able to fix it myself!!!
Glad it helped! I replaced one year ago and it’s never given me any issues since. I am full time too.
