As a 5’ tall person myself, I appreciate Ed for proving we are capable of building megalithic structures. Nobody believes me when I tell them I can do this.
I love getting on youtube and reading the comments on this show before I've listened to it. No spoilers -- just absolute confusion :P Happy New Year! :D
When I lived in Homestead, FL we would drive by all the time and had all sorts of ghost stories about that place including stories of hovering orb lights that would be around it at night. Now it’s overrun with giant brown lizards that escaped a reptile shop that was destroyed in hurricane Andrew in 1991. When you get a chance to go you will be struck by how it just seems out of place. You can hear US highway 1 right outside the walls, with all the traffic going by. Also, when you go make sure it is in the winter. If you go in the summer or what you might consider fall in most states, you will feel like you are standing on the surface of the sun, or in a giant oven. The first time he built it was more coastal and he just used a mule and a cart to move the stones after he cut them. There isn’t a donkey in the world that could cary one of those rocks.
The song you're thinking of is Light My Fire by The Doors. They were very much into esotericism and psychedelics. You might even consider doing an episode on the use and influence of psychedelics on the music of the late 60's, early 70's. That would be very interesting and full of material in your guy's wheelhouse.
I think I just successfully hooked my husband to your show with this episode lol. Please Please Please do and episode on the Flying Vimana otherwise known as the Nazi Bell!!! He would find that fascinating too!
Nikola Tesla was Serbian in the Austrian Empire (present day Croatia) When I was 11, my father and mother bought some land and built a house. After it was built they hired a dowser to come and find a water well spot, the man hit it exactly on his first try.
I live in Alabama, and you can still find people (although more and more rare) who are known as 'water witchers' or 'well witchers' who use a forked stick to find the best place for a well! I've always wanted to learn that until I started listening to Michael Heiser and Haunted Cosmos 😳
There was an abandoned grave yard behind an auto shop and hair salon. On the other end was a gas station. The ladies in the salon told us a water witch had been hired to detect how many graves were there !. He came and walked the grounds with a forked stick. I was totally shocked when records were later found that confirmed there were over 150 graves there, along with mass cholera graves just as he said !. Late 1980's Kansas City, / Independence, Mo.
Another fascinating episode. 1. I just received your book & will start reading it in a few days. I have to finish IDE Thomas's Omega Conspiracy first. If anyone can give me more book recommendations for high strangeness topics from a Christian perspective I'm all ears. 2. Tesla was Serb. His family was from an area now part of the nation of Croatia. At the time there was no independent nation of Croatia. 3. Regarding ancient roads & ley lines, it occurs to me that oftentimes ancient roads go way back to even more ancient hunting trails used by hunter-gatherer peoples. These in turn followed the movement patterns of game animals. Perhaps it's the animals who have an innate sense of where these lines run. The animals follow the energy, the hunters follow the animals, the ancient civilizations follow the hunters' trails & the modern roads follow the ancient ones? Just a theory, but I thought it worth sharing. 4. “If Christians would finally take back Hagia Sophia…” “So take me back to Constantinople! No you can't go back to Constantinople. Been a long time gone, Constantinople.” (Deep cut)
I want Martina McBride to stand in for Ben at some point a la Asian Jim pranking dwight and just spend the whole episode not acknowledging the difference at all. Like reshoot the indigo sundries ads and others with him to really sell it.
I went to the Coral Castle and took the "Behind the scenes" tour versus the "love story" tour. My tour guide was a Hispanic man that took me to water sources outside the wall and had me hold my arms out and then try to close my hands together, which I could not. The discipline booth was my favorite.
@travispreble he mentioned the box and said it had a truck alternator wrapped in copper wire which he believed was used in conjunction with the electromagnetic energy. Homestead is at the tip of the Bermuda triangle.
I don’t know how I found your podcast but I am always always laughing at your banter, the content too is very very interesting and I’m glad there are legit Christians talking about these things from a Biblical perspective love it! Also ever since you hired Martin and occasionally call him Martina it definitely grabs my attention since that’s my name 😂 God Bless!
I was thinking, man Brian is sure worldly wise and not even 34; Knows Clapton songs then mentions 'In search of' with Leanard Nemoy. How does someone so young know so much? Wild. All came crashing back to earth when neither of them knew the Doors sang 'Light my fire'. That surprised me as much knowing the other stuff. Mortals
No, Nikola Tesla was not from Latvia. He was born on July 10, 1856, in Smiljan, which was part of the Austrian Empire at the time (now in modern-day Croatia) Love your Show!
Love you guys, got two of my adult children hooked on the shows and have become a free advertisement to my friends. God speed come 2025. Do some of the Irish stuff, aka Giants Causeway, I spent my youth crawling over these rock formations. Finn McCool will be forever in your debt.😊
I had a professor, former missionary to a tribal people in South America if I'm remembering correctly. One of the young babies in the tribe passed away suddenly and the tribe was convinced it was witchcraft. They invited the missionaries to come to a ceremony that night about it. They had a long bamboo pole set up on a perch, and someone started chanting. After awhile of sitting uncomfortably and watching, the pole began to move on its own. My professor and his wife started to pray as it vibrated higher and higher until it launched itself out of the fork in the perch and began to bounce around back and forth among the tribespeople. The missionaries discovered later that if anyone had been touched by the pole, they would have been executed because it was a sign that they had been the cause of the child's death. The missionaries prayed throughout the duration of the bouncing until it ultimately stopped, having not touched anyone. Take it as you will, but it seems to me the spirits enjoy worship, and they'll continue their party tricks so long as people are willing to continue singing their songs.
Some more food for thought in regards to God and the mysterious power of sound-let us not forget that God spoke the universe into existence. It is literally through the sound of His voice that creation occurred. I have always found Tolkien’s description of the creation of Middle Earth by the beautiful music of the Ainur to parallel nicely with the Genesis creation story in this way. Also, there are examples of sound used for divine purposes throughout scripture. The most prominent example being the trumpets and the walls of Jericho coming down. Also there is scriptural descriptions of God’s voice shaking the earth particularly in reference to the end times, which may possibly be the cause of the great earthquakes in the last days. Thanks for the episode, although I do typically find myself wishing you would dive even deeper into the theological implications of these topics 😊
According to Wikipedia Tesla was born in Smiljan, part of the (then) Austrian Empire, now part of Croatia. His family was ethnically Serbian. Production was next level on this one guys. Great job 👏 By the way- the earth is a cosmic toroidal transformer, change my mind 🍩😆😘 (joking/not joking).
A guy from the utility company came out and used the dowsing rods (he called them witch sticks) to find the location of our sanitary line 8' below ground. It was wild to watch these rods move on their own while he was walking around the yard.
First time seeing Brian’s and Ben’s faces, (not looking at all how I imagined) and now I don’t know what to do. I think I need to go into a corner and rethink my life.
All jokes aside about Ben's lack of sources, I would love to have sources listed in the pod/RUclips descriptions! Not because "your word isn't enough" but because sometimes a girl just wants to take a deep dive into these wack topics but doesn't know where to start!
My uncle and I were looking for a field tile and he pulled out these brass rods and started walking. After a few feet they crossed. We dug down 6ft and the tile was exactly there. I thought it was neat until I heard them called "diviners' rods". Later learned his house was potentially haunted. Kinda creepy lol great episode.
Complete skeptic on the whole dowsing thing until I was shown how to do it on a construction sight. Just bend wire ( coat hanger, ect, ect) like a #7 hold the short end loose and they will cross over anything with a flow. ie extension cord, pipe, phone line. Try it, it's weird but it works
1:58:08 I didn't get it but I did drop hints. Very very subtle hints. Maybe too subtle. I texted my mom and told her, hey I would love this book for Christmas.
Yes, at 8:28. The last thing he says before the strange cut is “all of it makes one wonder… “ then he abruptly picks up in the middle of some other story.
I wish you guys could be serious for longer than 30 seconds, I don’t mind the joking, but it’s never ending and sometimes I just want to hear the research you guys have done.
This was so interesting! But also, i am glad to hear you believe in God. I’m always afraid if i listen to stuff like this that it is from someone who is into New Age stuff.
The constant assignation of mystical and supernatural powers to Ed’s creation unjustly diminishes the genius of what his engineering feats were able to accomplish. The same applies to the megalithic structures throughout history.

Great Episode. Very interesting. It makes me wonder... Jesus said "For truly , I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed you will say to this mountain, 'move from here to there,' and it will move and nothing will be impossible for you." - Matthew 17:20. Is this what Ed is doing?

Do an episode on Rasputin
Oooooo.... yeah!
I totally started thinking about him as they began the episode! 😳
Seconded!

As a geologist, I found it very amusing to hear you two go back and forth about the pronunciation of Oolitic limestone.
Ok, but who had it right? (It was Brian, wasn't it?)
@@hauntedcosmos_ lol, yes Brian had the correct pronunciation. You pronounce both of the O's seperately.
@@trenthobson2756 Looks like we found Brian's burner account!
I think we need a "only Ed can lift your mom" shirt. 😂
Gonna fall asleep to this one and then rewatch when I wake up. 😅 Much love, God bless, and Happy New Year gentlemen!
Yep… me too!
I'm not the only one who does this?
I have done this. Now to rewatch 😊
80% of the time,I miss the story for this exact reason 😂
I did exactly that last night & here I am this morning listening again.😊
“…So anyway he gets tuberculosis…” is my new favorite way to end a conversation 🤣🤣🤣
I went to Coral Castle years ago. It is truly a mystery how Lil' Ed was able to move those extremely heavy stones all by himself. Remarkable.
When I lived in Homestead, FL we would drive by all the time and had all sorts of ghost stories about that place including stories of hovering orb lights that would be around it at night.
