    Leaders should be followed because they have what it takes. It appears that the leaders of the modern world rely on dubious methods. It seems to me that citizens who do not speak up for this man's freedom either believe journalism is a crime, don't care, or perhaps are too busy or frightened to say.
    My own belief is that true and investigative journalism is one of the many important keys to a free world.
    I would love to hear that Julian Assange has been freed.

    Some of us have been speaking up for a long time. It's about time our government actually did something. Two Senators visited him in prison, however the government never backed then. Bob Carr of SA spoke up for Julian in the European High Court, ecev a delegation from Ireland took his case up. The retired Islandic Minister for the Interior also went on TV in Europe and the UK with evidence of the FBI trying to bring false charges against Julian when a plane load turned up and tried to have him agree to falce charges, they were told to hop on their plane and get out. Stupidly they left all their paperwork behind, which he still has and has said on many occasions, if Julian is tried, he will give evidence. It's been an awfully long fight. 💙🇦🇺

      Fully agree. Australia is a 51st state of the USA and cannot make independent decisions. I still cannot believe that we are buying nuclear submarines from US to defend their "strategic interest" in the South CHINA Sea - a half a globe away from American shores. Is it possible to get more servile than that?

    • @Chapps1941
      @Chapps1941 Год назад

      It was USA Laws which is the salient and misattributed issue. And the fact that he was not in the USA means he broke no USA Laws. Australian Laws don't apply. England are wrong to keep him. And that from the home of the Magna Carta and the Westminster System shows what a mob of hypocrites the English are.

Time can do that, and he's lost way too much of that. Keep up the great work, there are plenty outside of Australia happy to see he has political support at home!
