I just love how these guys can question tags or not and do so while shaking hands and hugging lol shows a level of sportsmanship you don't see in today's more popular sports.
oh man, I've been super hyped for the semi-final matches and so it begins!! I've never seen davis and kyle put in so many times (i didn't know you could switch the rotation?), but feelsbad to davis because you could definitely see him starting to wear out after all those chases. you can clearly see that HWF is banking on kyle, but major props to miguel for the double to keep them in the lead! hope kyle and HWF get to rest a bunch before their next match because they're definitely going to need it. kyle's seriously insane though. i love the way he runs (small steps and looks like a low center of gravity for balance) and paces himself; never too close to the chaser but always keeping a solid distance away. he's got superb stamina (which he'll definitely need if/when HWF runs into apex) and you can see how fast he calculates his pathing and the chaser's distance and pathing. the hype only gets stronger from here on out!! probably the only way that other teams can get HWF out is if they tire kyle out because HWF keep putting him in to chase. anyway, great match, great strats and evasions, and i can't wait to see the other matches!
this game was really won( or lost) by the tactics. GNF should have put Seth first. as even if Kyle chased him, the next chaser will go their best chaser- Davis. instead they got what we've seen. super happy for HWF. they really improved as a team during the tournament. as well, if you guys will give Awards after the tournament( if not, you should start to! with Best Chase, Best Evade, Best Team Spirit, Best Sportsmanship, Best strategy...whatever else) I'd give Kyle the MVP no matter what happens in the finals( honestly I can't believe anybody can stop APEX from winning the cup).
What a war! This was one of my favorite matches because there was such a story to it. GNF was doing everything in their power to stop Kyle but they just couldn't quite do it. I've been a Hollywood Freerunners fan from the first match they were in, and I've wanted to see Kyle Soderman vs Mark Bowles for weeks. I'd pay to watch that. *Fingers crossed* it's in the Finals!
You win points buy evading the chaser for 20 seconds! Best of 16 chases if its a draw at the end of the 16 chases it goes to Sudden death where its the longest evasion time that wins
So I watched this thing three times and here’s what I’ve got: GNF lost because they didn’t let Soderman go first. Soderman is a stamina player, and they thought Vasconcellios could get into his head with the Ice Man persona. Instead, Soderman’s cool won out and gave him the chance to get a point on the board while Davis was catching his breath. Davis was the player who could chase down Soderman. They lost two rounds and a point before he could do it because they gave themselves the intuitive advantage and it backfired. The other major part of this is how morale and the score took a nosedive with Diaz: (1) Hand on hand DTR, but Davis is an amazing sport about it. And (2) Diaz got a looooong breather during that DTR and Porter was an instant too late for the buzzer with his tag. Both of these contribute to Bear’s outburst/bad sportsmanship in chase 8, which is when things really start going downhill. I can’t say I blame him for being frustrated, that spike was brutal. It just makes them look like really sore losers. Finally, after a good few rounds off its child’s play for Soderman to defend their lead despite the ground they manage to gain. They just kept Ice Man to save them despite his obvious exhaustion and sadly it’s the thing that allowed the reigning champs to be taken out by my favorite underdogs. This tournament just keeps gettin’ better and better...
Shoutout to the commentators for the reaction analysis (Davis pulling his hand in) on the controversial tag. WCT is down to the wire nonstop. Love from India
Fantastic experience, watching top players hunt down each other to complete exhaustion - Kyle, David, Seth, Miguel and Mike all showcased all their strenghts, but ultimately it was Kyle that proved to be a deadly weapon in his team.
great job by HFR. nevertheless, when seth comes on - boss music plays (but even bosses gotta be beatable, or else it's no fun to play the game!). but it's crazy how much davis has kyle's number! and the weirdest part: watching certain parts of this match, someone could assume that Seth can't score, and that Kyle can't evade...and that's just crazy talk.
Seth is, no doubt one of the best OG that had joined the competition since day 1, but it seems he would always lose to the best man. And may be only the best man could beat him. Now the Apex vs APK Grey rematch and the Final is even more hyped.
What an insane match, I'm still processing what just happened, but it's very clear that Kyle Soderman has truly dominated this WCT tournament, congrats to Hollywood Freerunners, and I hope GNF at least gets third.
exactly what i meant when i said the game cannot be won by a few star players. like ik for a fact now that apex will be in the final and win cuz they arent trying to win against a team they are trying to win against soderman
For once, I don't think it was Kyle Soderman who carried a match. He did excellent, as always, but I think Davis's performance in this match was heroic! He was in for half of the entire match, caught Kyle Soderman *twice* and evaded *twice* and you could tell at the end her had given all he had to give to carry his team. Unfortunately, nobody else on his team stepped up and they had to bow out early. Seth did well too though. I think if he had chased Kyle after Kyle had to evade once, he could've also gotten the tag. That first chase was a beauty to watch. I was disappointed that he didn't get an evasion later in the match. Similar to APK Grey earlier on, we saw both teams put in their strong players a lot and leave their weaker players on the bench. I don't know if this will become a trend in future tournaments and/or necessitate a rule change, but it feels unfair to be able to run Kyle Soderman almost as many times as everyone else combined. I did want to point out chase 10. Davis's route in that chase was really cool. His use of the mountain wasn't like most people use it, where it's a route from the back of the Tilted Cube and Loading Bay just straight over the top, he used it to get some quick height, convert it to speed, and create some space. If you notice, there was only one point where he slowed down in that entire chase and it was near the end. I'm not sure if he should've done what he did or gone around the corner, it's an interesting question, but irrelevant because he had created so much space from darting through spaces where his chaser had to slow down. This was an excellent match. I've been looking forward to this match for a week and I'm going to love these next few ones as well, I'm sure! Will HWF face APK Grey and we see a battle of carries, Kyle Soderman vs Mark Bohles, or will they face Apex and we see their teamwork against the carry style? I think Seth Wang has a good chance of catching Kyle. We'll see what happens these next few weeks!!
WOW. Kyle is soooooo good. Excited to see them go against Apex. They need to fix some of their issues, those being knowing when they are being herded so they don’t get herded lol
GNF shouldn't have started with davis, might've been able to throw him in more fresh against kyle for the last chase if they would've saved that initial chase and thrown in someone else
I think there needs to be a limit on how many times you can use each player. While I like seeing Kyle. It’s kinda weird to see him over and over and barely see other players.... You should have to use every body once before going back. At the moment the best team doesn’t matter. It’s who has the best stat player
I was sure there was an order to chasers and evaders. Not till Kyle Soderman did I realise you can just keep sending the same player. No one did it before because no one was as insane OP as him. The endurance on him is bonkers. At first I though I had accidently skipped back a few minutes. Davis was clutch too for GNF. Him and Seth I though might run away with it but they just couldn't catch the goat. Be interesting to see Apex win and go up against that Deus Ex Machina of a WCT runner.
Kyle tags Davis in Chase 1! Kyle evades Seth Ruji for the second time! They change Julius to Davis to try and tag Kyle! And the plan works, Davis tags Kyle for the second time! Miguel tags Davis! Miguel evades Jake! Jake looks like his moving so heavy not like in WCT 4, he moves lightly! Julius almost tags Miguel but Miguel evades Julius for the second time! Bear stops and tags Miguel for the second time! It seems like Kyle & Davis being send back and forth on the quad! This seems like Deja vu! Kyle tags Bear for the second time, What happens in their Group A Game happens here slight! But instead of Seth Ruji they sending back Davis to try and tag Kyle for the third time! And Davis tags Kyle for the 3rd time, Davis could be Kyle's weakness! Davis evades Antonio, this is the first time Antonio couldn't make the tag! Davis evades Dale for the second time! Justin tags Davis, Davis looks so tired and it looks like his the only Athlete of GNF who's been moving in this game! Seth Ruji tags Justin but Hollywood Freerunners sendin' back Kyle again! And Kyle tags Seth Ruji but instead of Davis, GNF sends Jake, Davis is too tired! And Kyle evades Jake! Damn! Excellent performances, particularly from Davis, Miguel and Seth. And of course Kyle. Oh lordy I almost felt sorry for Kyle at @5:00, blinking sweat out of his eyes, like "okay, I'm going out again? Sure thing guys, just...just gimme a sec" Poor guy went out four times, active in seven rounds. But he sent it. I'm wondering if he can keep up that same pressure in the final. As much as I'd love to see HF vs. Grey... Apex took 4:1 against Grey in the Group stages, and while they have Mark, Frank, and Ethan, I can see Grey struggling again. If it does come to HF vs. Apex... same issue. HF rely too much on Kyle and Miguel, whereas Apex are a scarily well-balanced team. Rooting for Grey to win, but I think it'll be Apex.
Its hard to see GNF out. But Hollywood Free-runners deserve that win. And I feel like Kyle has improved the more techinical and strategic side of WCT because of the movements he made to evade and chase.
GNF is SO GOOD, especially Davis, but Kyle Sodderman is absolutely UNSTOPPABLE!!! Amazing match, incredible performance!! I’m SO PUMPED for the finals!!!!!

it was a great match, though I was really rooting for gnf and was hoping to see gnf vs apex in the final but I think apex/apk grey vs hf would be a really interesting final as well
That second chase between Kyle and Seth was probably one of the best chases in the show’s history! Seth wasn’t gonna let Kyle get the point that easy but Kyle’s still got them skills either way!
Not sure if you're open to course suggestions, but I would recommend moving the starting block back a bit and extending the 45 degree angled perimeter boards in front of the starter block. There's been a few crashes into those sharp edges throughout this tournament that this small configuration adjustment would easily avoid in the future.

@@W_Ray_W you see his speed endurance may not be on par however he doesn’t use all of his speed much though. He is very smart with how he plays because he idles a lot and constantly keeps note of where his chaser is.
I just love how these guys can question tags or not and do so while shaking hands and hugging lol shows a level of sportsmanship you don't see in today's more popular sports.
Seth Ruji vs Soderman (1st evasion) might be the best unsuccessful attempt at a tag I’ve ever seen.
What an effort.
I just started watching this sport like 3 weeks ago, and this is awesome!
Anticipating that this is another close match like their group stages match! Been super excited for this! 😁
Yeah, it's pretty close - two very evenly matched teams!!
oh man, I've been super hyped for the semi-final matches and so it begins!!
I'm witnessing the speed of Kyle Soderman once more!
Yup!!
Aye, looks like Kyle could steal anyone's wallet and get away with it, except for Davis. Davis's wallet is safe.
@@walksoflifesixnine Davis has my wallet.
this game was really won( or lost) by the tactics.
But Seth is a good chaser too, isn't he?
@@ololo518 brilliant
Man, I discovered this sport a few days ago and I can't stop watching it! I still don't know how the points system works tho.
You win points buy evading the chaser for 20 seconds! Best of 16 chases if its a draw at the end of the 16 chases it goes to Sudden death where its the longest evasion time that wins
So I watched this thing three times and here’s what I’ve got:
GNF lost because they didn’t let Soderman go first.
Waited all week for this! Let's goooooooo GNF
Kyle is now officially a legend
Only now? How about 8 evasions ago?
@@astod7792 Pawel's on dial up. He's still on the QF.
He made his mark after shattering the wct record with 6 consecutive evasions
Shoutout to the commentators for the reaction analysis (Davis pulling his hand in) on the controversial tag. WCT is down to the wire nonstop. Love from India
Fantastic experience, watching top players hunt down each other to complete exhaustion - Kyle, David, Seth, Miguel and Mike all showcased all their strenghts, but ultimately it was Kyle that proved to be a deadly weapon in his team.
That was everything I waited for! Now let's bring on Semi #2! Can't wait to see who Kyle goes up against next.
I'm soooo excited for future matches. WTC always is a highlight of the day for me
They really need to put this sport on The Ocho
Coming this August on ESPN ...... one of the ESPNs, not 8 : The Ocho.... World Chase Tag USA 2021!!!
great job by HFR. nevertheless, when seth comes on - boss music plays (but even bosses gotta be beatable, or else it's no fun to play the game!). but it's crazy how much davis has kyle's number! and the weirdest part: watching certain parts of this match, someone could assume that Seth can't score, and that Kyle can't evade...and that's just crazy talk.
Seth is, no doubt one of the best OG that had joined the competition since day 1, but it seems he would always lose to the best man. And may be only the best man could beat him.
Now the Apex vs APK Grey rematch and the Final is even more hyped.
Davis' curse at it again: 6:55.
Yup.
The moment Davis let Kyle tag him in chase 1, I knew it was going to be an interesting match. This sport is amazing.
Best sport?
@@LetsChat I think that depends on what you look for in a sport. It definitely scratches an itch other sports don't.
Everybody will have to watch and dissect the clips from this match. This is a very bizarre match compared to everything before it.
Yeah, there were a lot of interesting chases where the chasers worked out the evader's strategy (especially the Davis v Kyle chases!! ).
Unbelievable... The chase intensity since the first ever playoffs is only getting better. They're starting to play more strategic.
An edge-of-your-seat match.
If most matches in WCT become this intense, an Olympic event would be the next logical step.
man, 10 minutes goes by fast when you are really enjoying it. wish these were like 30 mins long.
I can’t wait to see Kyle trying to evade Apex members like Seth Wang
GNF strategy: KEEP KYLE OFF THE QUAD
HFR strategy: Hey Kyle, if you can pull even with Seth and Davis, our supporting cast can beat theirs.
No dislikes. Let's keep it like that 🔥
So far, so good!! There'll always be a few though!!
@@WorldChaseTag guess it's because they craved for longer duration.. :)
congrats, you jinxed it
Yeah, that's a good point.
I think there needs to be a limit on how many times you can use each player. While I like seeing Kyle. It’s kinda weird to see him over and over and barely see other players....
You should have to use every body once before going back. At the moment the best team doesn’t matter. It’s who has the best stat player
Kyle vs Seth !! I have been waiting for this one for a long time.
I'm new to the sport, as a spectator, but I love how everyone seems to be a good sport about it all.
I think I rewound the video 5 or 6 times just to watch that first chase between Kyle and Seth. Unreal
Soderman vs Apex huh? Soderman's backpack is huge, but I think Apex has this tourney
Damn! Two of my Favorite Team of WCT USA, this is hard for me to see GNF fell short but they can still be a 3rd Placer on Play-Offs!
So Hollywood Freerunners are on the Finale and could face the winner of Semi-Final 2 | American Parkour Grey v Apex 2!
And GNF would face who ever get defeated in Semi-Final 2 | American Parkour Grey v Apex 2!

I did not expect this. Congrats Hollywood Freerunners!
Man, Davis and Kyle is such a great matchup. A real battle of titans
Seth didn’t catch Kyle damn
Seconds in and look who's in the first 2 chases.... this match is too hype
Excellent performances, particularly from Davis, Miguel and Seth. And of course Kyle. Oh lordy I almost felt sorry for Kyle at @5:00, blinking sweat out of his eyes, like "okay, I'm going out again? Sure thing guys, just...just gimme a sec"
Poor guy went out four times, active in seven rounds.
Rooting for Grey to win, but I think it'll be Apex.
crazy match!! best one so far this season those lines were awesome
Its hard to see GNF out. But Hollywood Free-runners deserve that win. And I feel like Kyle has improved the more techinical and strategic side of WCT because of the movements he made to evade and chase.
Best best match. Kyle was so good. I support Hollywood freerunners
So sad to see Davis get knocked out of the tourney, his calm style of evading was amazing to watch. Kyle is just too super Saiyan though, good lord.
GNF is SO GOOD, especially Davis, but Kyle Sodderman is absolutely UNSTOPPABLE!!! Amazing match, incredible performance!! I’m SO PUMPED for the finals!!!!!
I nearly got a heart attack watching this match! this is so good!
Soderman's tag on bear, you can see he used a hand grip to jump up like he was going to chase him one way to lure him in to the other direction. The dude is full of subtle deception.
Dude Seth vs Kyle is amazing. That's like peak skill versus peak skill
Wow the fact that tag is a real sport makes me happy
KYLE IS A BEAST!!🔥🔥 I thought Steph would’ve catched him but hell nah Kyle is so smart he know exactly where his opponent is and how much length to keep apart from each other now that’s a great competitor
it was a great match, though I was really rooting for gnf and was hoping to see gnf vs apex in the final but I think apex/apk grey vs hf would be a really interesting final as well
I'm HYPED for this one!
My WCT merch came just in time!
This sport needs to be bigger!!!
Beautiful job from HF. A hard-fought win!
Favorita: Chase 5 con Miguel ❤️Awesome
Now i want to see Kyle vs Seth Wang
Money's on Kyle. Seth's chase style plays straight into Kyle's strengths.
Alternative Title: Kyle Soderman vs Davis Vasconcellos (ft. Seth Ruji)
I like that they have a right to bad tactics.
I think that this tactic is too high a risk of injuring the competitors and they risk not having that competitor in the next one.
Great match, YO!
I'm sayin it now. Hollywood freerunners vs. APK Grey. I wanna see Soderman vs Bowles
YES.
THE WORLD CAN'T HANDLE THE EVASION FORCES.
I literally just want to see if Kyle can tag Mark. I don't think either of them can tag each other.
