Both God Ginrai and Victory Leo should've been separate characters. Victory Leo was a former Autobot black ops agent, turned mercenary for hire, after being disgusted by Star Saber's branding of justice, while God Ginrai was pursuing him.
Every Time an Autobot created with great power but out of control..Dinobots,Autobot X,maybe the Aerialbots but only because most of them 'cept Silverbolt were just too cocky of their own abilities. I feel yah, and your right he should have been able to survive or even fight against Deathzaras. Unfortunately for Takara and Hasbro this will not allow them to sell new figures and that is what prompts all deaths in transformers :-( such as Optimus Prime's death in the classic movie, Optimus clearly gets beat up more during the series and never dies.
As Transformers Review said before, at the end of Super God Master Force the Transformers or Transectors that the God Masters were using became alive once again and with out the humans they lose those abilities. All of those powers came from the combination of a Transector and a God Master. I never watched the whole of Transformers Victory. But I did watch Masterforce. What the hell happened to regular Ginrai (the human man?) These clips act like he is not a distinct entity. Did the writers of this show just not have a clue about Masterforce?
Oh sorry reading the wiki it seems the "trasnstector" (the mech) Ginrai gains its own sentience at the end of Masterforce, so yeah he's his own being before his appearances in Victory. The wiki has the info on Ginrai split between his three incarnations
at the end of Master Force we learn the Transecotor were in fact damaged transformers, so damaged in fact they no longer operated. This is why the humans were needed to pilot them, and transfer their energy throughout the show to revive them. They awaken at the end, leaving their human helpers on earth, heading back to cybertron.
I've seen a few episodes of Victory dubbed and it's pretty bad. Terrible acting and the translation and localization is so off. I watched the dub after and there was so much missing or changed that its just not worth it. Some dubs are really good, this isn't one of them. I do remember watching these in the early 90s when I was in Russia and that dub was pretty good. It's nice seeing this years after.
Optimus Prime is not Victory Leo, as Victory Leo was created from the parts and mind of Ginrai (who is not Optimus Prime) watch Super God Master Force to find out ;-)

Yeah, that'de be the last Super-God Masterforce episode, where the robot bodies would actually become sentient and independent from people -- and with a nice "Thank you and good-bye" the now-independent Transformers rode into the sunset :) So yeah, by the time events of this video happens, Ginrai was dying by himself, no more truck drivers trapped inside)

Transformers Reviews I guess God Ginrai didn't have Jinchokon Power anymore. But did he still had Tenchokon Power and Chichokon Power at that time?

I never watched the whole of Transformers Victory. But I did watch Masterforce. What the hell happened to regular Ginrai (the human man?) These clips act like he is not a distinct entity. Did the writers of this show just not have a clue about Masterforce?
Oh sorry reading the wiki it seems the "trasnstector" (the mech) Ginrai gains its own sentience at the end of Masterforce, so yeah he's his own being before his appearances in Victory. The wiki has the info on Ginrai split between his three incarnations
at the end of Master Force we learn the Transecotor were in fact damaged transformers, so damaged in fact they no longer operated. This is why the humans were needed to pilot them, and transfer their energy throughout the show to revive them. They awaken at the end, leaving their human helpers on earth, heading back to cybertron.

Not anymore, they sort of remove God Bomber being a separate transformer during Victory, and just refer to them as God Ginrai.
I was confused on that as well.
While he was a Godmaster, he can, but since the destruction of the Devil Z, he has lost these abilities. Now he's just a normal Autobot.

Only Headmasters had a dub, but sadly it's unbearable, just watch them in Japanese, it's way better ;-)

I've seen a few episodes of Victory dubbed and it's pretty bad. Terrible acting and the translation and localization is so off. I watched the dub after and there was so much missing or changed that its just not worth it. Some dubs are really good, this isn't one of them. I do remember watching these in the early 90s when I was in Russia and that dub was pretty good. It's nice seeing this years after.

Yeah, that'de be the last Super-God Masterforce episode, where the robot bodies would actually become sentient and independent from people -- and with a nice "Thank you and good-bye" the now-independent Transformers rode into the sunset :)
So yeah, by the time events of this video happens, Ginrai was dying by himself, no more truck drivers trapped inside)

Yes, he died in the G1 Movie during the Decepticon invasion of Autobot city on Earth. I can live with it... it was nice to see all the scientific minds of Cybertron get together for Ginrai's death and transformation into Victory Leo.

From what I understand, G1 movie came out around (or around the time of) Transformers Victory, and so based on the continuity of all the Japanese series, Wheeljack never died.
