The ganache cake is from Austria. Named for chef stand in who created it for a Prince in that country. Done in 1832, and he who wanted to show special respect to guests during a dinner party. They liked it. It has a subtle layer of apricot filling inside. The baker apprentice had a son who perfected the recipe while working at Demel Bakery, then left and had a hotel. Very simple cake to show off ingredient quality. Can buy online from Demel Bakery for about 40 Eur plus shipping through mail forwarding service. Viennese classic. Bought the croissant and Sacher Torte from Charmslol after watching most recent box opening. Didn't know you did a video on them but Eastertime gift ;)
