Hi Daniel, just to add. You actually need to get P45 form your employer when you stop working. P45 form is an HMRC document showing your total income you have made during the tax year and total tax deducted from you up to date of resignation.
Congratulations Daniel! If you had switched to the COS from the new employer still as a DA, would your 5 years count to ILR restart or it would just continue from the previous employer?
Please my can u help my husband get sponsorship jobs or links. He is a senior python programmer and also Devop engineer. Let me know companies in UK he can apply to.
Hi Daniel, does it mean you did not pay ihs fee as a dependent please, since you said you didn’t want to pay another ihs fee if u switch cos. Please clarify, thanks
I am currently on a graduate visa, which ends on March 27. My notice period with my current employer ends on March 25. I have gotten a new opportunity with visa sponsorship with a start date of April 1. I plan to apply for my Skilled Workers Visa (SWV) before March 11 using priority, meaning receiving a decision before I complete my notice period (March 27) with my current employer. After successfully switching to an SWV, can I still complete my notice period with my employer?
If you cant complete notice period due for a few days, i don’t think its such a problem. People leave jobs and don’t care about notice periods. So i think focus should be your new job. And if that is secured and its a different job code from the initial job, then you cant work for them any more, its as simple as that. If its the same job code, you still have a provision of 20hrs to work anywhere apart from your main sponsor. Notice period na just convenience for employer, it can be cut short.
